i thought you were going to recreate the artemis 1 launch that happened a couple of days ago but this is amazing! such a small yet beautiful project, i didn't expect it to look this good! you never fail to surprise me with your creations
The filament & cotton method for this type of effect is one of my favorite crafting techniques to see being used. The reflection at the top of the dome makes it look like the rocket is heading toward some kind of portal, so you did make a space-themed portal after all.
Thank you very much for the shout out mate. I really appreciate it 🙏. This is a wonderful diorama 👍. I really need to start using these filaments, they create awesome light effects 🙂
I'm really impressed by the visual impact of the finished work; especially when compared to the simplicity of its construction. Thanks for posting this!
As a guy studying aerospace engineering, I love this one so so much! Amazing decorative piece as well as the possibility of it being a little night lamp.
Such a great result!! Would you consider making a short tutorial or slightly more in-depth dive on lights/LEDs/filaments, where to get them, how to connect them and how to power them? I'm just starting out with my first diorama project and I would love to incorporate some lighting effects as well, however I have no idea how to implement or even plan them lol
What a LOVELY little diorama! Which is basically what "Härliga" means in Swedish, the language of IKEA. It's actually the plural form of the word härlig, wich means lovely, delightful, splendid, etc. Which describes this channel and your videos overall. P.S. If anyone is curious about pronunciation, it's basically "hair" as in the stuff on your head + the "lig" part of the word "ligament"
I accidentally have three way switches too. Could be interesting to do a "two look" with different colors lighting up dpeneding on the switch position.
@@Boylei add a microcontroller and neopixels. You can control the brightness plus the colour temperature (there are neopixels with 3 "white colours" instead of RGB)
Very well done! I was across the Indian River from Kennedy Space Center during the Falcon Heavy launch, and if it weren't for the dense fog that settled in over the water I imagine your model is what the launch would have looked like! We did hear - and feel - it take off, as well as the double sonic booms as two of the three boosters came back in for a landing. We also watched the Orion-Artemis I launch, but from 50 miles further away at home. Night launches are always spectacular.
We were lucky enough to catch a Falcon Heavy launch on a perfect blue-sky day back in 2017, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life so far.
Very nice, as ever. The collection of tubes that run down the outside of a rocket is called the raceway, by the way. And those aren't fins, they're the landing legs (non-deployed, of course). Maybe next time a diorama of the two side boosters coming down to land? ;)
More real space related stuff please like Artemis and Apollo or Space Shuttle or even the start of the Wild West Space program like a rocket car! Love your stuff it’s always amazing. Saw your channel this week and have watched every video twice!
It means "lovely" in English. And that is what I think of your diorama. Looking really awesome as always. Love how the top of the doom looks like a portal. Great work!
Wow!!!
"I made a Rocket Launch in a Jar". The things you come up with can make a grown man laugh their undergarments off mate. The fact that you thought you wanted to do this is awesome. If you want to do it, DO IT. I also think it's hilarious that you put #ElonMusk is the Description 🤣 keep up the good work! -Your biggest fan. @Boylei Hobby Time
Looks so awesome. The reflection on the dome of the glass inside is also really sweet! A space shuttle launch or mid air flight would make for a really cool diorama given your mastery of the led filaments.
The final look of this is so DOPE! I really love the technique that you used to round the polystyrene using a drill a a lathe of sorts. Wicked, my friend, wicked! : )
This scene came out fantstic as always. You never disappoint. It is not just fact that your builds are so realistc and creative, your videos and naratives are more soothing and cheaper than therapy. As always, I am inspired by the current video and eagerly anticipating the next one.
This is fantastic! I need that dremel press. Love the smoke effects you do. So realistic the thumbnail looks like the real launch pics🤯 Next up Artemis?!?!
I would love to know where you get your battery housing and other electrical parts, I make dioramas myself, mostly of planes, but I wanted do one of an f-18 launching flares, and wanted lights for the flares. Can you help me out?
I live not too far from SpaceX Texas, so I took a screenshot so that when they are testing, I can look at your model and hear the rockets. Great job!!!!!
Dude, in two years you have become one of the best out here!… your skills in filming/editing and the hobby went from total garbage to amazing in these couple years..your work ethic and progress are truly inspirational! You deserve everything you have coming to you and will soon be there with crafsman as the gold standard on TH-cam.✌🏻 Edit: YOU HAVE MORE SUBS THAN CRAFSMAN!!
It would be cool if you made a monster hunting lodge with a bunch of stuffed and mounted monsters on the wall. Thank you for all the cool stuff you make, happy thanks giving.
this stuff is incredible and you can watch and not get bored or anything you make the videos just long enough to show every detail yet leave it short enough to where you don’t get bored i love this
I don't usually really like enclosed dioramas or vignettes since I feel the glass just gets in the way of viewing the piece, but this time the glass really enhances the viewing experience. The reflection on the top of the dome makes it feel like the rocket is heading into some kind of portal in the sky.
I was trying to remeber the first video I watched on your channel and probably was this one. Watched it again and at the end I realised you didn't use black 3.0 or 4.0. It's strange to see a Boylei Hobby Time video without those colors. Anyway, I also realised I follow your channel for 2 years now. Hope I can watch it for more years yet to come :)
Absolutely love this build! Watching the first Falcon Heavy launch with the boosters landing simultaneously was one of the most exciting things I've seen. This looks perfect!
You ended up making a portal by accident, the swirling reflections on the top of the dome are magical!
That's the reflection from the sky!
u right
I also noticed that and thought how cool 👊🏽👍🏽
Because such will exist
*Certified Half-Life 2: EP2 Moment*

You have mastered the art of using filaments and creating smoke clouds from fibre fill. Really enjoyed. Thank you for sharing 👍😊
He has, he makes it look easy, until I were to try it and looks nothing like what it should lol. He nailed the Super Mario one too
It’s really cool and it looks really good unlit as well
Yes
Yes he makes it looks like just piece of cake🥲
Nerd bit here but It’s not actually smoke. It’s water vapor based on type of fuel and how it combusts. There is no consumable part to create smoke.
Wow, the reflection at the top of the dome is so trippy. Love it!
It looks like Boylie made a Portal Diorama after all.
i thought you were going to recreate the artemis 1 launch that happened a couple of days ago but this is amazing! such a small yet beautiful project, i didn't expect it to look this good! you never fail to surprise me with your creations
Yeah, that was a shame. Most powerful space rocket ever built!
@@4str0m3ch it made night day
turn on the lamp and it blinds the entire room
Maybe next time? I am a huge space fan so that would be awesome. This was still super cool tho
@@gameseeker6307 I was near the launch the fire reflecting off me made it look like I was standing in front of a camp fire amazing sight

What is "filament"? EL-wire? English isn't my native language, so a can't understand

Of course! Thanks for making inspiring content!
freaking awesome!
Thanks for watching!
amazing. love the reflection of the "flames" on top of the dome
Can’t believe you created this from scratch, this channel should easily have over a million subscribers.
His skill is amazing. 👏
@@wyattschuster3012 , it really is, I personally don’t build models but find myself very envious of he’s skill and imagination.

This must be one of my favorite older video's of yours. It inspired me to make my own, bigger Falcon Heavy lamp! It turned out so good!

This has to be one of my favorite dioramas you have made. It's complex but in a small package and tells such a great story.
This is also such an amazing way to record history. Imagine a museum of world history but its just dioramas.
If you're ever in Hamburg, Germany, definitely check out Miniatur Wunderland!

Wow, looks so good when it's lit up! Another great smoke/ lighting effect. ☺☺👍🏻👍🏻
If I could buy this for my desk I would. Holy crap you've gotten good with those filaments!
this is literally the best scale spaceship launch in a jar ive ever seen

Awsome! So simple but so effective. The (unintentional?) reflection on the dome is beautiful.
Awesome stuff!! I'd also like to see the space portal, something inbetween a nebula and a Stargate portal.
This is such a simple build but man, the wow factor when the lights were turned on was massive 🤯😍
Oooooo! When you hit the switch, it suddenly came to life! Gorgeous! Your smoke clouds really do look good. I love your stuff!
The exhaust looked incredible!
I love the "lathe" for shaping the ship's bell-end. That's some neat lateral thinking. The minis looks wonderful.

Everytime you create smoke or clouds it brings the work to another level!! Badass man!!
Now do Elon Musk's Twitter, by streaming directly from your garbage can for 2 weeks and then light it on fire.
