Got to tell you Chris, you inspired me to buy another Corvette. Had a C5 Coupe and a C4 track car, did part with both a number of years ago. My wife and I got the bug again to purchase another Corvette (used) and did so over a year ago now. Your videos really got me pumped up to " Stop Dreaming and Start Driving" (words from our good friend, Rick Corvette Conti) and we have had a blast ever since. We bought a Torch Red 2002 C5 Z06. Thank you for all your videos, they are the best.
Hey Chris! Recently returned from the 25th Anniversary to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. I think what your enduring with criticism and complements boils down to one word. PASSION!!! I saw it for myself down there. We love our C5 Corvettes so much. Don’t get too bummed with the odd criticism. Remember. It’s all about the passion!!!
Chris, I am the owner of a C6. I have had seven other Corvettes of different year models, and I would like say that I have monitored your site for a long time and find that your explanation of works done on yours has been a benefit even to me and I'm sure to many, many others. Thanks my brother!
Im a auto body tech, I have worked on more c5,c6 and c7 Corvettes than I can count. I have installed wide body quarters on a lot of c5 Corvettes and several c6’s. The very first thing you must do is bolt them up completely just as you did to make sure they fit and to make any modifications that almost all them need. I have watched your videos since you started and you have nothing to worry about. Your doing great. Don’t feel like you have explain yourself to anybody. 👍
I love the eye candy in this video. Great explanation on the fenders. Why paint something if you decided to not use it...easier to sell if not painted. Teespring says to contact Teespring for any and all issues very prominently. Nice Video!
Hi Chris. - How wide are your spacers and do you know where I can get them ?? I will use them for a period, but will buy some larger wheels and then uninstall them. Question 2.) Do you know about there are replicq wide body fenders for 1997 / 2004 C5 Convertible??? - I always looks for nice possible upgrades for my 2000 C5 Convertible. My; " Red Devil! : )" - Thank you for sharing your skill and experience. SUPERB : )
@@mycorvettelife Thank you Chris : ) Exellent! Your You Tube Channel is awesome, and I love that you share your experience and hobby with me and so many other entusiasts here on You Tube. Thanks a lot Ole
question out there? does your suspension Rattles or feels loose? I changed end links on all four wheels and still rattles every time I hit a bump...very annoying
Make sure they're properly tightened. They may look tight, but if they're not tight enough it can and will make the car feel like it wants to walk all over the road.
That is not what hub-centric means. It has nothing to do with already having studs pressed into the spacer. Hub-centric means that the spacer is machined to match the locating ring on the hub of the car so that the weight of the car isn't held by the wheel studs.
Great advice to others about wheel stud and spacer modifications, somebody from near to where I live modified their wheels/studs on their Landrover Discovery resulting in the wheel studs shearing and a front wheel coming free and ploughing into a young girl on her way to school, killing her outright,a shocking and horrific tragedy, not to mention the legal repercussions.
Question Chris. On my 99 c5. My oil pressure needle bottoms out at 80 lbs. But it stays there. Is this a sign of a bad oil pressure sending unit. And if so could you do a video on how to change one. Greatly appreciated. 💯✌🏾
Sounds like it. I wouldn’t make that video unless I needed to change it. But not to worry, I found a video someone else made that should help. m.th-cam.com/video/RSVko7B5zNM/w-d-xo.html
I agree with you Chris. Imagine if they or and other body parts had been painted etc, and then when install the parts it did not /will not fit. I have learn that lesson when I have restored older muscle cars and used reproduction parts that not fit as they should. This is cheap! - Thums up for you Chris : )
Hey Chris, wish I had time to tell everyone about the old man, the little boy, and the donkey, but it would take too long. Great symbolism, though. In the meantime, I live by a saying a pastor friend said and it's made a lot of difference for me. He said " it's none of my business what people think of me ". So keep up the awesome vids and the rest will take care of itself.
Do people think you're pressing t-shirts in your garage for them? LOL No worries. When you post public content, people will share their opinions, right and wrong. As long as you're enjoying it.
Every single time a You Tuber uses spacers, someone feels obliged to issue a dire safety warning. I currently have a pair that are German TUV approved, meaning they are legal for use on the Autobahn and so forth. They weren't the cheapest ones available, but the price was still reasonable. There is absolutely no problem with quality, hub-centric aluminum spacers. None.
Looks good man, dont have to explain everything you do - you do whats best for you and who cares what others think!!!!

C5 Rules!!!!
Keep up the good work Chris, love the channel...
Progression 👍
Sounds like popcorn popping 😁NICE!
Just came acrossed your channel a week or two ago watched a ton of your vids I need to go to more car meets I just never know when they are
Hey man keep doing what you are doing just the way you are doing it. Love your channel. Keep up the great work.
You have a great looking Corvette even with the finders not being painted👍👍 👍I'd keep the rims that you already have on the car😎
Hub centric spacers have a ring that carries the weight load not the studs. Just a FYI. You can buy hub centric spacers without studs.

Hey Chris
Good morning where do I get the wide body fenders like your and please give me more info thanks..
Corvette Creationz

Corvette Creationz has the fenders you are looking for. 1” spacers can be found many places. I think I got mine from Corvette Mods.

Check your exhaust too. May be loose.
@@mycorvettelife my exhaust isn't the car feels loose, wheels go all over
Sway bar links need replaced.

Where did you guys meet at would love to meet you sometime i got a C5
This particular meet was at Tempe Marketplace. It just depends. It changes.
@@mycorvettelife good to know... I was curious as well.
Would love if you announce on your videos about upcoming meetup i could join you guys thanks
Damn ima need to join a c5 crew 😂
whats the spec on your spacers ?

Great Video bud. You near Houston? Looking for another Corvette channel to collaborate with locally?
I’m near Phoenix, AZ.

Lots of C5s, perhaps I need to move to Arizona.
The weather takes a bit to acclimate to but after that..... yeah.... it's awesome.

Another good upload Chris. I was just looking at your Merch line and was wondering if you have plans for a key tag in the near future? Save the Wave.
Possibly. It’s been a while since I added anything new. Stay tuned. 👍
Sounds good. Thanks Chris.
