And that intro on Luther's "She's a superlady". The list goes on. My fave? His solo on lee ritenours "Rio Sol". Festival album. Him and Omar Hakim's "conversation". Heaven!!!!
I've heard so many different versions of Blast. Each has something special the other ones didn't but that's live performance. Last November, I purchased the Marcus Miller Signature Jazz in the same natural finish running DR HighBeams through my SWR rig. I can get the same exact sound. However, there is that edge that comes from attack and technique and that's what puts Marcus in that place he's at.
I love this version. This trio sounds so wonderful. It just about sounds better than the album version. Marcus is THE best ever!!!
