I got a Quora post recommendation not too long ago, and the topic was on why the Romans didn't expand to sub-saharan Africa after conquering Egypt. To my surprise none of the top posts or expert historians listed the result of the Nubian and Roman war as one of the factors. This really puts into perspective how easy it is for ancient African achievements to be neglected, and I'm glad that this channel exists to change that.

Also, let's not forget a big contribution to the Partition of Africa were malaria-preventing medications, which didn't come until the industrial revolution.

You are correct. From Nubia to Nigeria them men of men lived in those lands in those timelines and it was impossible to invade them by land and by sea and not die there. It would be jungle warfare if the Roman army survive the march through the desert into West Africa. My ancestors would have drank wine from the skulls of their generals to honour them for their bravery or stupidity. And we would have marched to Kemet to drive them out once they invaded us in that age if men. The emperor of the Benin empire could have easily raised 500,000 foot soldiers against them. Black men who were stronger than Caucasian who had no guns would be suicide for the Greeks, Romans and Persians who couldn’t defeat the people of the Sudan ie kush and Nubia alone. To be sandwiched between these two group of related Africans would have been suicide for Rome even in Egypt. These leaders had no weak European genes in them. If their descendants didn’t have Gatling guns they would never have colonised Africa.

The Romans did not extensively expand into Sub-Saharan Africa after conquering Egypt due to several factors, drawing from academic sources:
      1. Geographical Barriers: The vast Sahara Desert acted as a formidable natural barrier, making large-scale military campaigns and sustained occupation challenging.
      2. Logistical Challenges: The logistical difficulties of supplying and maintaining Roman armies across long distances and harsh environments, especially without established infrastructure, deterred further expansion.
      3. Strategic Priorities: The Roman Empire had competing priorities and ongoing conflicts in other regions, such as in Europe and the Middle East, diverting attention and resources away from Sub-Saharan Africa.
      4. Cultural and Economic Considerations: The Roman focus on the Mediterranean and its adjacent territories was partly influenced by economic and cultural ties, as trade routes and economic exchanges were more established in those regions.
      5. Disease and Climate: Sub-Saharan Africa presented different climates and diseases unfamiliar to Romans, potentially posing health risks and further complicating military campaigns.

Incorrect the main reason is Africa had organized states and militaries south in Kush, Ethiopia and Somalia etc that could defend themselves.
This coupled with some logistical points played a role.
Malaria was not a major factor in these regions.
The Romans focused on making trade connections with Ethiopia, Sudan and the Somalis etc. after their war with Kush ended in failure.

@@DaduaMaiga It is not the same when you talk about Songhai empire and Zimbabwe or Mupata Bc none of these empires were connected with other parts of the world.
When it comes to North Africa situation is different Bc not only these parts differ from others but they were racially AND culturally related with Mediterranean civilizations and Arabian peninsula. A Greek or Italian or Spanish sees Moroccans or Egyptians or Libyans etc not just as North Africans but as their neighbors, people which they have been sharing customs , traditions, history and have been living, sharing , intermixing , fighting , ruling etc . Everything was right there .
Europe is geographically small, broken , plenty of navigable waters (rivers , lakes, bays , natural harbors) they had horses to travel all the time and everywhere etc , and yet some people were isolated. And Europe is in fact, not a continent geographically, it’s a subcontinent of Eurasia. You never hear Chinese talking about Assyrian empire or Persian empire as “ Asian history “ and there is a reason for that . Today , there are black folks not only in the west but even in Africa who are going around and “ we Africans civilized Europe “ and bull**t like that Bc they hear ahistorical hoaxes on social media. This is pathetic.

Alexander had conquered most of the known world of that time . When he arrived in Egypt, he had created the greatest empire so far . He died a few years later . To pretend that Kingdom of Kush could’ve stopped Alexander is just a wishful thinking. His army was well trained to fight even in heat , experienced, determined and tactically very skillful. I know many black folks like to entertain themselves with idea that “ Nubians defeated Rome “ . The historical reality is that Rome never launched a mass attack on Nubians. In all likelihood, the relationship between Kush and the Greeks was amicable. Cleopatra apparently had no hostility to Queen Amanirenas. This makes sense being that Alexander had conquered Egypt when it was controlled by the Persians. The Kushite Egyptian dynasties were long gone by the time the Greeks got there, so there was no documented belligerence between the Greeks and the Kushites, with the former being much more concerned about the Romans, which were never big fans of the Greek rulers. The Greeks wanted to be left alone to the point their rulers rarely left Alexandria. The Greeks adopted Egyptian customs and culture, so they wouldn't have been seen by the Kushites as particularly threatening. In fact, they would probably be unrecognizable to mainland Greeks at the time.
They may not have been allies, but they were far from enemies. They probably saw each other as trading partners. No more, no less.

what if for example Martin Luther King Jr is played by an Asian or a white man, there would be all sorts of racist allegations to ever violence. so its not a very one sided world.
i know how people were fuming with just a rumor circulating that a fictional character "Black Panther" would be played by someone of Asian descent. If Black people have this kind of racial superiority then i can't just blame the white and brown and Indians for their racial superiority complex.
More than 90% of all crimes commited on Black people in the US are done by Black people but it gets unchecked but when someone from a different race does that "not even with a racial objective", he would be tossed into hell.

@@StopTheLiess You know little. The original people from that land are the Kru or Klao people, named after Klaopatra of Egypt who later moved away and founded the Songhay Empire under Sonni Ali who was also a Kru man. The word Kru comes from the word KUSH, the land from which they came. They moved into the Sudanic lands when the Mamluks destroyed their lands and due to the fact that they were surrounded by Muslims. We're from the tribe of Benjamin and are the most Malitaristic people in history.

According to Woke Wikipedia she started the beef pre-emptively.
She was the same Candace who 9 years later in 36 AD the Ethiopian Eunuch was attached to, a queen of Meroe who is listed in the New Testament Book of Acts chapter 8.

The problem is that there is not a shred of evidence whatsoever to prove that any black/negroid Egypt even existed.
