My nature path told me that allergies can cause it. He’s right. I cut out the things he suggested and my heart stopped racing. He said it has to do with stomach acids, even though I had no other signs of stomach acid.
@@moocrazytn it’s different for everyone, but some doctors start with the list of most common allergens because the only investment is committing to changing your diet and tracking what you eat and how you react.
Heart rate will normally rise after a meal. If you're keto'ing and IF'ing, you're probably going to be having large, filling, high fat, vegetable rich meals, which can cause an even higher heart rate. This is because you're gut is suddenly going from a rested, fasted state to a highly active state. A lot of people don't realise this can temporary tax the body the same way as doing light exercise, like a light walk. It's easy to confirm by simply checking your BPM before and after breaking a fast.
I had 95-100 pulse,I eat 3 months more greens,more protein,more fat and my pulse ist now 79 and I loss 14 pounds ( I am on 1/2 Keto)Thanks for your amazing videos.

Thanks doc. Good information. My heart rate is high so after deep breathing it goes down. When I go for blood donation they always tell me to take deep breath and heart rates goes down.
Thank you for that explanation. It was the easiest I've found to understand. My average resting rate is between 140 and 170....ALL the time. I feel like I'm running a marathon 24 7.

I went to a doctor last week and they told me my pulse rate was too low at 50 bpm. Of course they want to run tests on me and put me on meds. I'll find a new doctor this week.
Thanks Doc! For me elevated heart rate is usually potassium or water. Hmm.. I'm denial about coffee but since Keto & IF is giving me more energy I did just get some good decaf to start switching it out during the day.
I would try it. When I was younger, I drank coffee every day, but I noticed I would get a headache if I didn't drink it. Being someone who didn't like the idea of being addicted to anything, I stopped and went through the withdrawal for a few days. Later I realized I'm extremely sensitive to caffeine...I think I just didn't know because I was always consuming it. Now if I have a cup of regular coffee by accident (the person serving me messes up), I know within the next 30 minutes. I get (in order): *extremely* talkative and bubbly; then my chest tightens (can't catch my breath); and then anxiety comes, ranging from mild to severe. But I looooove the flavor of coffee, and I love that I can still drink decaf so I don't have to miss it. I put a splash of decaf in my plain yogurt with some stevia. So good... Anyway, as I said, try it. You may be one of the lucky ones that is not adversely affected and can even benefit from it. But it's good to know!
Jimvesterstallone thank you for encouraging me dear one. I will continue with my decaf after first caffeine in the morning. Maybe I will do away with the daily caffeine habit and only use it when I am really tired instead of everyday. I too do not want to be addicted to anything. No way Jose. Thanks again Sis ✝️

Yesterday I went for a walk with my cousin? We barely had been walking not even like 10mins, and yeah it was warm out but I’ve had tachycardia even in cold weather, so anyways my tachycardia set off and my rate went from 120-130 to 178 and probably higher but I couldn’t check it anymore cause I was trying to focus on breathing. The second I knew it was happening I squatted down and it kinda helped a little but when I’d try to stand up my heart would start racing again. I had to have my brother come pick us up.
Hey Dr. Berg, could these same root problems cause an active heart rate to be high? For example, could someone have a normal resting heart rate, but when jogging/running have one around 200+?
mine was always higher at 95-100, but has now dropped to 70 since changing to a Vegan lifestyle. Sometimes I get "white coat syndrome" when visiting a Dr., but that's rare these days. (usually only an annual visit or preventative tests)

I wonder if it’s to do with shift work- I’ve just started getting taccy - I’m nearly sixty , I’m not exercising daily , I never consumed any food after 9pm but now I’ll sometimes eat as soon as I get home have a cup of tea to wind down before going to bed. I do shift work someday s start 3pm finish 11pm other times I do nights start 11pm finish 7am. I never use to eat anytime after 9 pm or if nights I would never eat on the night shift until about 1pm next day. Did that for ever until about 5 years ago-when my son and family came to stay-he would always message me to let me know there was food for me to have when I got home. So I’ve noticed that I get very taccy after a meal now - like I can feel my heart racing and pulsing in my head when I’m at rest. Terrible and perspire every time I m busy - it’s not my norm.
I'm 24 weeks pregnant and my blood pressure is good but my pulse rate is in between 85-91 bpm. Not sure why and I hope this isn't anything serious like a preeclampsia symptom or something
Dr. Berg, I’ve been following your protocol, but my resting heart rate has increased, why? It’s not my thyroid, it’s not low potassium, it’s not medication, it’s not a food allergy, or adrenal. I heard you state in one of your videos something about acidity and elevated heart rate, could you explain the process because I think that is what is going on. The only change I’ve made is taking Betaine HCL with pepsin and your gallbladder formula. Nothing else has changed. Thanks Bambi
How to get pottasium. Does high pulse rate (I.e above 88) damage the heart. This is the common thing which people believe. 1second one heart beat gives pulse rate of 60. One second two beats gives pulse rate of 120. Does high pulse (I.e above 88) damage the heart. Does having a low pulse rate implies good cardiac health. My resting pulse rate is always above 80 except during the morning time when I get up from the bed. At that time the pulse rate is 76.
My dad is 82 & has Afib. Last April he had 2 bleeding ulcers, then the Afib waned until he didn't have any problem at all. He's also diabetic, but we've been able to keep his blood sugar at around 165. He takes Metformin and Glipizide. Since his Afib calmed down he hasn't had to take his metoprolol. However: lately his heart rate has risen to as high as 165. There is no sign of Afib, though. His blood pressure is normal, but he tends to fidget while taking his readings. I'm not usually there when he does, so I try to remind him to be still. The metoproplol lowers blood pressure, so I don't know if he should take it to lower his heart rate. Still, I am concerned there may be other issues, as you say, such as adrenal or thyroid. His doctor keeps writing statin RXs & he doesn't have high cholesterol. I don't think the doctor has his best interest at heart. The only thing he wants to do is hand out more drugs & order expensive brain scans (pfc for patients at risk for dementia). Any suggestions?
High pulse rate could also be iron deficiency/anemia. The lack of oxygen and red blood cells causes the heart to work harder, hence the high pulse rate. Once you fix the deficiency, it will normalize again.
Main reason which isnt brought up here is most people are completely out of cardiovascular shap!!!..I know I am right now...if you cant hold moderate to intense cardio for at least 20 minutes without stopping you are in terrible shape and will most likely have a high resting heart rate
Doctor it happen to me. What I find was Niacin. What happend I used niacin for cholesterol but also nutritional yeast and some other supplements. I never checked to see how much niacin was in all the products I used. When my heart started I stopped al my supplements and used statin and the racing heart stopped, when I went back to my supplements it started up again. That is when I realise I must be overdosing on niacin because I only counted my B3 niacin capsules.

I feel flutter in my throat if my HR comes below 60 BPM.
I will try farmer walk..
Awesome that your pulse stays down to 80 - 90bpm for 2 miles walk with carrying 15lbs groceries.
@@gallakochar4245 no... I feel normal. One time I was meditating in the woods by the river and my bpm was at 45 and I had felt perfectly normal. I only knew at all because I had recorded the session on my watch. Otherwise I would have not known at all. Are you getting all the nutrition you need? Enough salt? Iron + copper? Eating too late also raises the pulse rate as will eating foods you are reactive to. But I like doing the farmer's walk. It also increases your balance too! Strong core muscles are great if you ride horses like I do. Plus it will give you arm muscles as well!
I've resting hr of 56 and I'm a little overweight and smoke occasionally and it keeps my bp at the ideal level. Doc says it very good. I do about 30 mins of intense enough treadmill and cycling most days, so you can lower your hr through regular work-outs.

Dr. Berg, pls talk about hypothyroidism with betadine allergy. Is iodine absorption getting affected? Pls also tell us if the nutritional value of vegetables is lost if chopped and stored in the fridge? Very grateful for all your videos. Thank you.

Just started exercising after a year of not being able to exercise because of withdrawal symptoms from prednisone. Also since I've started to exercise again I'm most likely developing arthritis which was non existent before the prednisone.
My nature path told me that allergies can cause it. He’s right. I cut out the things he suggested and my heart stopped racing. He said it has to do with stomach acids, even though I had no other signs of stomach acid.
What did he suggest you cut out?

Thanks doc. Good information. My heart rate is high so after deep breathing it goes down. When I go for blood donation they always tell me to take deep breath and heart rates goes down.

Hey doc guess what, remember when you said overdose of caffeine take vit B 1? well I have tachycardia I've had it under control for about 3 months easy. Well I picked the caffeine back up thinking I was doing fine. I shot up to 200 and I got really ill. it was horrific I couldn't get it under control I stood up tried to walk found my vitamin B1 the Benfodime took it totally got it under control and let me tell you I was suffering severely. I really want to thank you. And I really want to bless you God bless you for all the help you give people.
So you're saying the b1 helped?
2 months ago I was deficient in B12 and iron. It made my RHR to be over 100. Today it is 50. And I'am 49yo

Feeling great on Keto and today I was like a machine. I think I had too much caffeine earlier and my pulse jumped after eating from 70-80 to 90-110. But wow I am finally keto-adapted and I can't believe at 50 I feel 20 and I am down 20 pounds in 14 days, 80 pounds to go. IF works great. I'd say tomorrow will have maybe 1/2 a cup of coffee .

what about now that Covid happened? Alot of young adults are having heart attacks...would you explain that please?
Also toxic mold exposure can cause many severe heart, brain, and full body problems. I had severe tachycardia , HBP, etc. for years while I recovered. My HR and BP elevate if I go into a moldy nbuilding.

Even doctors can't understand my condition. I doubt whether it is AAA syndrome. But acutally don't know what to do.

Excellent advice ☝🏻
Dr. Berg,
I’ve been following your protocol, but my resting heart rate has increased, why?

I'm on keto and apparently I was low on potassium a few weeks ago, I could hear my heart beat when I was trying to sleep which made it difficult. Luckily I had dr Berg's electrolyte powder and his wheat grass juice, I took some and fell asleep in an hour. Also I've noticed alkalizing my body with lemonade sweetened with stevia or vinegar on a salad helps retain the minerals I uptake for a much longer period of time. Thanks doc for all the help you give us.
How about insufficient sleep?
I woke up this morning and randomly had a VERY high heart rate, probably around the 140 range. Does anyone know a possible cause for this
I had the same sort of issue. They said I was low on potassium but they tried getting me on anti anxiety drugs. I started taking potassium. First Dr bergs electrolytes mix and now my own mix. Might go back to Dr bergs mix as it seemed to work better on me
I'm also having gastric issues kind of recently (never ever had issues before) and that seems to be triggering heart arrhythmia. Look into gastro cardia or whatever it's called. The gut triggers heart problems
