Theo has some criminally underrated solo work
Big time. If there were any justice this would be getting picked up by radio stations all over. This is some of the finest pop music coming out right now.
i swear, we need his music to hit the top 40
And some incredibly deep pocket
@@cookingwithmike56 back pocket too 🤡
You’re mom is underrated also.
The king of upbeat songs with really depressing lyrics.
I mean god damn I did not realize that this is what that is about.
@Mason Wink Maybe he means Queen the band, y'know?
Listen to the Smiths. They were literally known for doing this.
Reel Big Fish - dateless losers. More on the nose but damned upbeat and depressing
@@dongkrakata i don't really get what the song is talking about, what's he describing?
Joe Dart on the Joe Dart bass. Wearing them shades inside.
Ryan Denley his shades are VERSATILE
*Joe Dart on the Joe Dart
Lee earned a michelin star for that tastiness at 2:04
AAAAUGH IT'S SO GOOD
LEGIT THO
2:20 theo playing the electric theo
Thanks for showing Lee's hands during his solo. Killer.
This dude has literally everything - songwriting chops, instrument chops, vocals... madness
What's even crazier, i have that exact Thin Lizzy tshirt... he has awesome music taste too lol!
I want to produce a film JUST so I can use this for the opening montage that basically tells the audience about our protagonist... For serious... Your music is SO CINEMATIC!!!!
Obsessed with your album. You are a rarity to have an incredible voice, such songwriting talent, and skill to play so many instruments well. Every time I listen to one of your songs I feel like I dig a little deeper into the meaning.
Same!
My thoughts precociously. The next Paul Simon.
@@MrPhillyguy ...or the first Theo Katzman.
What. A. Good. Riff. An absolute bop. This guy can write.
You know what's gonna be the death of us? Government funding for active basses.
???
What does this even mean?
@@thrillhovanhouten253 watch the vulf joe dart bass video
*subsidies
@@s1ngular1ty6 im so sorry. so close to perfection.
I know theo probably doesnt really care that much but this needs to be seen by more people. I dont know why its not getting more exposure. This album is extraordinary. Theo is a writer for sure and joe, god dang he plays bass well.
If he didn't cared he wouldn't do it. Trust me. People in general have zero idea the amount of 12 hours days it takes to make such art.
top tier lyrics, melody, and instrumental. thank you for making music that I love.
You make covers that I love!
It's 1am in lockdown, I've been teaching myself bass for a month because I wanna be Joe Dart, and I've been playing along to this song in the dark with my eyes shut for the last hour. It's my favourite song in the whole world and I love it.
Love this comment. How's it coming along?
I really like Lee Pardini's parts on this album. Especially on this and What Did You Mean (When You Said Love)
The solo on this song is especially crazy gooooood
I’ve been a fan for Lee’s for a few years now. He really stands out on this album. 🔥🎹
Lee’s work live with the band Dawes is nutty. Def check them out live if you get the chance.
I love how simple and nonpretentious this piano solo is and also how elegantly ironic is it's way of depicting the song's topic - from the middle grounds of feelings to the love's peak and then straight down to the lowest abbyss. :)
Michał Poniedzielski Major Mike Garson vibes, no?
Smart move to only film the man On The Fender Bass from the neck down. We need to censor that head bob before kids start trying it at home and breaking vertebrae.
SophisticatedBanjo this is actually his Joe Dart’s Signature Music Man
@@MTudisco Good catch. I thought it was a 1982 single-speed Bridgestone, but you're right. It's the volume knob that gives it away.
SophisticatedBanjo you just gotta put in the work.
@@TheAjCalvillo all i know is its cut from a tree, like 3 pounds of white flour pasta, ate at night
Anyone else think the singer and drummer look alike?
I love this album title "in the age of Vibe" its so accurate, I literally say vibe 8 times a day now its honestly terrible
2:06 this is the best part of music you will listen to this week
Nobody:
THEO: *2 mics on the body of an ELECTRIC guitar*
Gotta do whatchu gotta do to get dat ThunderKatz sound
Or it might have just been recorded in the same session as the songs with an acoustic
If you have 1, you might as well have 2
@@alexhinkle7537 the next video will have 10 mics
Especially since that's the same SQUIER Strat Jack uses in the 'Cory Wong' video. Some of us take days so re-amp and dial in a sound, spend thousands on stupid amps and they're just like 'duh, let's mic this tinny Strat with two mics, that'll do the job'
@@enricodemeo Actually, they're different guitars. Both natural finish Strats, but Theo's got a Fender. I'd also imagine it's not on for this take, but who knows, maybe he likes to mix in the unplugged Strat sound.
A+++ Talk Box!!! Hell yeah.
Song and production are fantastic.
Tbh this is the only album where I actually really like every song
Who else noticed theo quoting the famous Limmy line -
WRONG WAY, DOWN A ONE WAY STREET
Exactly what I was thinking
This is the kind of song you sing shamelessly whilst showering. Thank you so much for this amazing album Theo, it really makes a difference ❤️
Best notification of the day :)
Do you just wake up everyday and come up with a new masterpiece?
the piano adds such a good taste
I can't get this song out of my head. You're a legend, Theo.
Katzman I am here, let's get this Revolución started.
Тео Кацман - лучший!!!
We need a forever loop for this song!
Theo, I feel like Vulfpeck would do an amazing cover of Showdown by Thin Lizzy if you would consider it that'd be so awesome
perfect song for a friday
I Love this guy .. Awesome voice, Awesome lyrics 💓
The piano player is on fire in every one of these. Absolutely insane playing
I am obsessed with that moment at 2:35 - 2:38 where he switches sooo smoothly from talkbox to guitar!
This album is so damn good, I especially love the piano on this track. It's so subtle and slots in perfectly.
Anyone after watching "Soul" movie from Disney? The melody from the movie remind me this song
It’s amazing to me that this is (I believe) the first time we are hearing Theo use a voice box. Like, of course he would kill it with one.
Also, really like the subtle use of it during the final chorus and outro.
It's the second time. See th-cam.com/video/E44zg5qZA_o/w-d-xo.html
Saw his first show of his tour in Seattle on the 10th, fantastic!
Theo has all the tools!
uber song writer ,player of many instruments, fantastic unique voice!!!
No wonder so many talent musicians want to play with him.
Get on board!!!!
This is my morning walk song. First on the playlist, puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Love your stuff man, thanks for the good songs in the age of vibe !
Amazing riff, amazing lyrics, amazing groove, awesome technique. You killed it bro!!!
Modern-day Paul McCartney right here.
modern day Theo Katzman more like
Great solos on piano and guitar! And Joe is Dart! 😉
2:05 Piano man has his finger on the trigger, and the talk box solo…too good! Way to go, Theo! Outstanding music!
Lee Pardini babieee
Now someone needs to come up with a comedy series called “The Death of Us” and Theo’s set up for life to come up with awesome songs like this every day 😊 👍🏼
don't worry , i m on every single video Theo !
Love the t-shirt. That was the first band t-shirt I ever bought, still got it 15 years later. Thin Lizzy are such a great band. Little Feat and Thin Lizzy are, in my opinion, the two best bands from the 70's and are both criminally underrated. Much like you and all the Vulfpeck guys. I feel so lucky to have had a chance to see you live a few years ago. Thanks for all the wonderful music.
He just has it going on in every way possible.
Talkbox making appearance aka BANGER
Wow those back to back solos slapped!
this track is absolutely nuts
A Thin Lizzy T and a Haitian Divorce talk-box soul-o! Nice!! And as for that piano solo...
Good to know I wasn't the only one thinking Haitian Divorce. I got a Sign In Stranger vibe from the piano solo as well.
@@timvanderkooi Nice catch! It's been 40+ years! Just had a listen - great Elliot Randall guitar on that one too! Getting down to the Steely Dan here in my 1 bedroom....
I've been listening to this on spotify since it dropped and didn't realize this song got a video until today. I had been wishing it did just so I could see the talk box solo and I was not disappointed
Same here, it took me almost a year to realize 😂
i love how he plays every instrument but still gets Joe to come and play with him cuz he's a great friend :)
ERES UN CAPO !!! U re the bossss
How talented can you be Theo? Bravo! Beautiful song!
That piano solo had me on the edge of my seat.
soooo freshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
me, rico, and ykel be vibing to this at 1 in the morning doing homework hahaha I'll miss this
Truly comes through my mind..
Lee Pardini ftw
Holy shit was that "Wrong way down a one-way street" just then, my guy
A killer album! And every single performance video you upload make me love the songs even more.
I'm sorry for not knowing your music until now I heard a tune Joey Landreth was playing an so thru him I found you .you are beyond ,amazing, and now I'm diving deep into your music 🎶thank you
It's the hand drums for me
That brief piano solo 👌

The talkbox solo fits perfectly!

LET’S GO. Damn dude.
Wooooo that piano
So so so wonderful.
YES
Truly a revolutionary album!! Keep them coming theo :)
Simply love it!
Hell yeah
i can't not think of limmy when i hear the line about wrong way down a one way street
I knew this was coming next. Too good Theo. One of my favourites.
Man! That is SO Good! I just found Theo today and Love him already!
Can’t wait to see you in Toronto!!
Groovy!
Theo you rock! Love the sound of the eagles in your album
FREAKING AWESOME THEO!!!!
joe dart on. the. joe. dart. bass!!!!
Needs.. More. Punctuation..
I love the cinematography during the piano solo!
Best talk box solo I’ve heard in years. Decades? Wonderful tune and tones!
Man i love everything you do, if you come to Aus I'll be there.
Thank you for your voice and your great songs.
love this Song!!!!!!
Love from Morocco Theo !
Never get sick of this song, the video work, the sensitivity of all the musicians, that voice...amazing work.
Why are we all of a sudden getting blessed by all these solo projects? Marvellous!
what a lyric, what a song, what a band, thanks , Theo !
What a tune!!!
I am glad I stumbled across this!
