    Didn’t read all the comments to see if anyone else replied about the differences between the T07571 and the T07573, but I also did some research and a few phone calls regarding the differences. As the best I can see there are four. 1) The CO sensor with alarm and shutdown . 2) 11’ wheels instead of 10” wheels. 3) Clear rubbery covers over the switches. 4) Grey accent instead of blue. Now my thoughts on the differences. CO sensor has a finite lifespan and will need to be replaced. Will the generator function with a Bad CO sensor???? I don’t know that answer, but that would stink. The slightly larger wheels would be nice, but not a deal breaker. Rubber covers are nice too. I actually think the the blue looks better than the grey, but of course that’s just a personal preference. I’m really glad I have the 7571, since I’m smart enough to not run it inside my house, to keep any windows or doors in the vicinity closed, to place it far enough away from the house and finally , have the exhaust pointing away from the house. I don’t want to have to worry about a sensor failing or having to buy a replacement and needing to install it. I do think it is prudent to,have a CO monitor inside your living space to be sure no CO is sneaking in!

    • @communityprepper6153
      @communityprepper6153  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment. Yes, the only major difference is the CO2 sensor. I have plenty in my home as well and, like you, I'm smart enough not to start this sucker up in my living room.

    • @corollaae8645
      @corollaae8645 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I glad I don’t have the co sensor. I plan on building a generator shed to quiet down the decibels and would not work in that I closed space.

    I was a Corporate Pilot and flew a Turbo Prop where the engine ran at 600 degrees Celcius. If you are using synthetic oil in your generator and you do not run it for the year ... there is no need to change the oil. Synthetic oil will get dirty but is does not break down like regular mineral oil. Synthetic oil does not break f=down with heat nearly as much as mineral oil.

    • @communityprepper6153
      @communityprepper6153  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great tip! I'm sure it holds merit. I put the regular oil in my generator, but for those who use synthetic, this should farewell!

    You have extra spark plugs but they won't work where you said the spark pug was located. That is the electric starter. Spark plug in on the opposite side of the engine above the valve cover. See page 26 of the manual. I have a Firman T07571 Tri-fuel generator.

      @communityprepper6153  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the input. I guess I should have looked closer. How do you like the generator?

    • @rwstarke
      @rwstarke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@communityprepper6153 Like it a lot. Especially during the Texas freeze and assorted power outages. The 1/2" hose I bought had a 3/8" Female by 1/2" Male brass adapter to connect to the generator. It was too long (deep) on the female end and I had to sand it down so the flange in the adapter would seal against the LP gas fitting on the generator. The other end is a 1/2" male quick disconnect fitting which easily connects to the female fitting attached at the gas valve. I ended up installing a MB Sturgis Propane Elbow Adapter at the generator 3/8" POL fitting. It is a 3/8" Female Flare Swivel x 3/8" Male Flare (Item # 204163) that I purchased from etrailer . Then I installed the 3/8" Female x 1/2" Male brass adapter there. I have a 4-ton (46,000 BTU) A/C unit. I installed a Micro-Air EasyStart 368 (4-ton) Soft Starter ASY-368-X48-BLUE. My AC unit now uses 12.8 to 13.8 Amps and a Start Peak of 33 to 36 Amps. My UPS's seem to beep & click when connected to the generator. I have a stupid power strip plugged into the battery backup side with items plugged into the strip. All I have to do is move one plug to the surge protector side. And then turn off UPS. Surge protector should still work.

    Thanks for the video. Maybe you (and others here) could clear up some confusion for me. In your video at 13:55 and 27:40 you say if the battery is dead you have to pull start it. Another video I saw showed someone pull starting the generator with the fuel indicator on LP/NG. In my manual on page 32 it says “ if the battery is unable to start the engine you can start it with the pull cord BUT ONLY ON GASOLINE.”
    Any input?

    • @roogermoore1
      @roogermoore1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you should peridocally run the generator on a load, to keep the copper wires and magnets which produce the electricity - productive. I add stabilizer fluid to the gas, and siphon out every 6 months, add new treated gas. directions state treated fuel with stabilizer fluid is good for year, but I give myself a buffer. many people let the carb run dry after turning the shut off valve off. finally, I use high octane. I get an extra hour of run time using high octane per tank full. worth the extra price when gas goes scarce.

    You did not tighten the propane hose to the generator! Hence the wrench that comes with the Generator. Display is the frequency in hertz. 60-62 hertz in normal for 120 or 240 volt operation.

    This is not an inverter generator. This will put out a modified sine wave which is not what the power company gives you. Most everything should run okay but clocks may lose time and your TV may buzz. Microwaves may sound different too. If you use electric alarm clocks they may not run and lazer printers may have a problem but the computer should run as it has a power supply to clean up the wave. Just be aware and look closely at the name of the generator if you want a pure sine wave inverter. Inverter sometimes come with a case and insulation to keep the sound level down.

    • @PeterLawton
      @PeterLawton 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Nope. Inverters are the only things that put out modified sine wave. And some inverters put out pure sine wave.
      Basic generator head ends (like seen here) put out a sine wave, but with a distortion. They're a little wonky, but they work.

    That is NOT a generator you want to use for powering your house. It produces choppy power which over time will damage your home devices. You want to get an INVERTER generator that makes clean pure sine wave power.
