Invicta watches are superb for the price! I own 3 and all automatic. All perfectly fine for swimming, snorkelling etc etc . Also own the Omega sea master . Nice collection! 👍

Many miyota quartz chronographs have a hidden function for adjusting the rest position of the seconds hand. Maybe there is one for your Citizen? Try searching with your movement reference number.

Nice, some lovely watches in there and a lot of VFM- just starting out on my watch collection and have gone for a metal Casioak and a Seiko Fleiger White Dial as a dress watch, have my eyes on a PRX Powermatic for watch 3 and then will be looking for my first diver.
Great collection. Quite similar in style to my own. My expensive watch is also the Seamaster! I actually started only mechanical automatic and only later started getting some quartz which are very handy for a quick pick up and go.. My latest one is a, Pulsar Solar Chronograph. I made the same mistake with a watch that was too small for me. An Orient Star 37mm but now my wife loves it. Though I don't live at home in Ireland anymore I remember going to air shows at Baldonnell Aerodrome in Co. Dublin the military airport and watching the Red Arrows when they came over for the yearly air shows. Absolutely amazing, we loved to watch it as kids, so that watch there, that makes it my favourite! Great looking watch. Coming back drunk from Tenerife was a good move! 😂
I noticed your chris ward trident clasp was similar if not the same as my Oris watch. My Oris also kept coming undone due to the teeth being worn. I took it to my local UK watch retailer, who was able to repair it as good as new.
Nice one. The local watch repairers are underrated for sure. My local lady is also great at repairs she also is willing to service all watches. Even a £100 is given a light service at a reasonable cost.
I used to buy watches off Amazon. I bought two Italian models that died a quick death, costing me hundreds of dollars. Amazon threatened to remove my product review privileges because I raised a suspicion that these watches may have been counterfeit. Don't use Ebay because MANY counterfeits are unloaded there, as well.
I have a question … what if I will build my own watch with Seiko movement.. and I will use moded dial? Because I have build watches which looks like Rolex oyster perpetual (with flat bezel) and they looks nice I use NH35 movement it’s cheap but reliable… and dial is Seiko (not actually… it’s copy of that Rolex one but instead Rolex oyster perpetual it’s Seiko oyster perpetual datejust) it’s fair to call them Seiko? Or not… I have paid for parts only 160€ and build costs me 2 hours my first build but actually they worked fine i don’t know how much waterproof they are but I have tested them my “certified way” I put them into hot water and then into cold water … if there will be some steam or how it is called … they are not waterproof to anything and they are actually worthless to wear in public buuut they survive that …
Rotary still make the (swiss made) watches with swiss automatic movements and are finished a bit better than your normal rotary ,but will cost three times the amount.
All I can say is that I have about 100 watches and stopped buying. i own a vulcan 800 kawasaki and a 1987 pontiac fiero gt. Car's, motorcycles and watches. And my wife. All my loves.

I have several Seikos in the $500 range but I find myself wearing my Invicta Pro Diver most. I like my Paganis with the NH34/NH35 movements, but the Batman with the crappy Chinese DG movement is shit. The hack feature broke 3 days after I bought it so rather than waiting 2 months to replace it through the company, I bought a new DG drop in replacement movement and that broke within 10 minutes. Nice collection.
You should look into cadisen benyar tandorio and paulareis which have really nice automatic homage watches for anywhere from 40 to 120 with decent quality for the money and all but tandorio make a Daytona homage

For the past 3 years i have accumulated a collection of about 25 watches and hopefully I'm done. Everything from Invicta to Omega to Tudor to Rado to Rolex. But what I have learned if anything is that you can accumulate a terrific collection with only one brand - Seiko. Quality and full lineup.

Very nice video,316L is an excellent grade of stainless steel,favoured by most manufacturers on the lower to midrange,I believe Rolex and other High end brands use 904L,even more scratch resistant.I don’t have one of those by the way 😂,like yourself I’m a mechanical enthusiast,nice collection there 😊by the way have you looked at Junkers watches?,I have a nice one,cream dial like the Zeppelin,and an understated German class and ruggedness.
Pagani now makes the GMT with the new Seiko NH34 GMT movement ... also while the Pagani Daytona and V3 Speedmaster homages have a quartz movement it is a Seiko VK mecha-quartz movement meaning that it ticks like an automatic - however if you want a really automatic chronograph look at Seagull or Sugess ... they use an ST19 movement which is a Chinese version of an old Swiss automatic chrono (Venus 175) that Seagull bought the patent to decades ago.
Overall nice collection. Goes to show that you don't have to spend mega bucks to get nice watches. There's so many great quality budget watches out there to enjoy - just find what speaks to you.
Lots of Rolex homages. In my opinion, you should treat yourself, pick up at least one, and allow yourself to experience and enjoy the real thing at least once in this life.
Like many people I have a love hate relationship with Rolex. My builders gardener's wife has one, you know what I mean. One day! but to be honest Tudor is higher on my list at the moment.
Technically it was British but the two guys who owned the company made money by importing Swiss movements (by Hermann Aegler) into Britain and assembling them in British cases (Dennison and others). The company moved to Switzerland when the bottom fell out of the market after WW1. The sister brand is Tudor, and in my opinion I would rather have a Tudor than a Rolex these days. Something about the Tudors makes me smile.

Actually I am a very experienced diver. I have been a BSAC sports diver for 30 years. And in all that time never worn a dive watch under water. Dive computer on my wrist instead. 🤣🤣🤣

I would love to know how you came to that opinion and by what criteria. I love the Zep but the movement is nasty and it makes my cringe when I turn the hands.
@@jackofall1276 The criterion is simple, most look like a bad copy of Seiko or Rolex, Zeppelin is also not the best watch, but at least it has its own style. I'm not talking about the mechanism now. The criterion was definitely not price, but appearance and originality or characteristic appearance. A watch should have its own atmosphere. Plastic Casio are better than a copy or homage Rolex.
Well we will have to disagree on that one. You could claim the Submariner was a copy of the Blancpain fifty fathom. Of all the brands, I would not buy a Rolex, simply because of the brand image as a status symbol. No denying it is a fabulous watch but so many wanabees wear Rolex. Look at me I cant afford my mortgage but I have a Submariner or possibly a clone. At least something like the Chris ward does have an originality of sorts. Keep up the love of watches my friend. 👍😊

I won't buy a watch with a Chinese movement, unfortunately they are showing up in many of the lesser watch brands.

I bought a hand winding vintage red dial Oris refurbished for under $100 US. It runs great and looks great.

Your citizen chrono quartz can be fixed without sending back. look for a video to realign the hands when this happens
2:59 - it's more Breitling Avenger than Rolex
Since your citizen chronograph 'Red Arrows' is indeed quartz, YOU can recenter the second hand yourself without having to send it into Citizen.

I would love to know how you came to that opinion and by what criteria. I love the Zep but the movement is nasty and it makes my cringe when I turn the hands.
@@jackofall1276 The criterion is simple, most look like a bad copy of Seiko or Rolex, Zeppelin is also not the best watch, but at least it has its own style. I'm not talking about the mechanism now. The criterion was definitely not price, but appearance and originality or characteristic appearance. A watch should have its own atmosphere. Plastic Casio are better than a copy or homage Rolex.
Well we will have to disagree on that one. You could claim the Submariner was a copy of the Blancpain fifty fathom. Of all the brands, I would not buy a Rolex, simply because of the brand image as a status symbol. No denying it is a fabulous watch but so many wanabees wear Rolex. Look at me I cant afford my mortgage but I have a Submariner or possibly a clone. At least something like the Chris ward does have an originality of sorts. Keep up the love of watches my friend. 👍😊
