Lydia Frye would be perfect as the protagonist of an Assassin's Creed HBO TV series. Assassin's Creed needs The Last of Us HBO treatment
In addition, I was wondering what a a hypothetical AC TV series set in Late 1940s Los Angeles during The Golden Age of Hollywood would be like, with our protagonist - a rookie police detective - joining the American Brotherhood (renamed away from Colonial Brotherhood for obvious reasons) utilising a more refined, modernised version of the assassin gauntlet from AC Syndicate
In the future please do a video on Altair Ibn La Ahad. He is arguably the most iconic character in the entire series aside from Ezio.

That's a really fantastic idea honestly, I've been thinking for a while about my pitch for an AC series that I'm planning on making into a video in the future. I think the AC games being structured as sequences makes it so easy for adaptation and I'm really looking forward to the Netflix show coming up I just wish it was HBO instead :/
As for Altair, I'll have a few polls up in the next few days to decide who will be next :]

Back in 2015 I even wrote a first draft of a fan Lydia Frye full-length film LOL. I envisioned Michelle Dockery as Lydia and Hugh Grant as Winston Churchill.

    • @theangryimp1345

So quick point. First this guys videos on syndicate are based on wiki fan fiction like the clara and Jacob mess. And his "analysis" is based on an obvious biase to the female characters such as evie who has next to no depth and is a tac on virtue signal for twitter.
Not only dose she not make sense for the main game outside of her 11 main missions but she's not even acted with any effort.
Her character is lazy and un inspired. Give her a half Cape like ezio and idiots will love her.
This guy has no idea about the themes of the main game. His take on Jacob is beyond stupid.
This just feels like another AC youtuber simping for any and all female characters because substance means nothing to them.... thay only care about the politics.
The video just comes off as man hating, and it's based on fan fiction from wiki.
It's a pitiful attempt to talk about characters in a complex way. Because its only focus is on pushing an agenda.

I strongly believe that Unity was a heavy passion project for Ubisoft. It's almost as if they wanted to go all in, but ironically it went terrible from the starting point.
It will still be on my top 3 favorites along with 3 and Origins. It's something about it's presentation and ideas that hits a special spot for me. No, not that kind.

I loved the French Revolution setting. I just wish it got extra time in development and should have been delayed by at least six months, or even gotten a full year before release in late 2015

I unironically hate Unity's parkour. It didnt feel fluid it felt weighty, cant hold block or tap it, only tap-hold it 🙄 Arno hopping around window frames 19 times before going inside. All bad. Tbh id take bugs over the bad parkour.

I remember playing the Lydia section and really enjoying it. I even mentioned it on someone else's video talking about a character that could have a trilogy, and I mentioned Lydia with her role in Syndicate sort of introducing us to her character. I even talked about what each of her games could be about with the first one continuing her story in WW1, the second game perhaps being set in New York during the 20s - 30s and her final game being set in WW2 or perhaps building up to it.
But unfortunately, we'll likely never see her again due to Ubisoft's change in direction. Especially since she could have been a rather interesting character to follow, especially in a time when there were so many changes for society.

i think it would be awesome if every Assassin’s Creed game had a sort of helix glitch similar to the one in Syndicate: a sneak peek into the future, through a character or consequence related to the protagonists of the main game. it would be even cooler if there were 2 versions (“good” and “bad” endings) depending on how you played the main game. for example, instead of getting desynchronised for killing civilians, what if those acts carried on to the helix glitch?

Man I wish Lydia hadn't expressed her desire for suffrage so early on. It felt a bit too on the nose.
Instead of "I would settle for the right to vote" I feel like she should've said something like "you know what I'd settle for", then reveal what it is with what Churchill says later on- "a vote can be far more lethal than a bullet or a blade"
But I mean this is just a minor nitpick lol

It's completely baseless though, there's no mention of who Lydia's grandmother/Jacob's wife is anywhere. When you google "Lydia Frye Mother" the first result is a fanon wiki article about someone's fanfic version of Clara, so the guy who made the video must've just seen that and not realized it wasn't canon lmao

I really liked the helix rifts from unity, seeing the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower was great but I wished they had invested more time into creating a story for them, Arno’s descendants being an obvious link, syndicate was exactly what I wanted from this
Lydia Frye is great for the time we spend with her being so short it was very understandable that she align with the suffragettes, tower bridge was a unique enough area, it was interesting to see Churchill in a lesser known period, but they could have developed the sage more and this definitely could have been a whole DLC although I prefer it as part of the actual game instead of a paid add on. This was a great taster for AC in the 20th century that we could see in the future I hope
I only wish Syndicate had been able to further expand on their work here, show us the great fire of London or the aftermath that would have been incredible and could have been a Frye ancestor involved

    0:56 - 1:06 That didnt age well , AAT ALL ! ❌
Ubisoft is the ONLY company that can make a game worse than its predessecor 🤦🏽
Yet AC Mirage was VERY good...u wanna know why ? Cuz it came from a smaller studio called Ubisoft Bordeuax that ACTUALLY put LOVE into their game for the first time in YEARS and did their ABSOLUTE BEST their could , maximising ANY potentiall of theur tight but solid budget ,and they didnt just sell a game because of deadlines or because they have to make money
Money DESTROYS human capabilities like love art , pure happiness and JOY for what they do !
Reaally miss the old times , EVEN on this topic !
Because things were not just more simple and WAY more focused , BUT they knew what they are and what they wanted to be and this achieved it PEERFEECTLYY , espeically for the time !
After AC Brotherhood which is a PHENOOMENAL game , aanyways , u syarted seeing the cracks after AC 3 they starting exploring historical settinsg and put assassins in the backseat , with the exceptions of 4 , cuz even tho Edward is NOT an Assassin HE DOES become by the end of it while realising what it means to be an assassin and also realising what the creed's philosophy mean , while Eivor became an Assassin or a Hidden One - anyway its the same thing - in her late late years and I learnt that in AC Wiki for Eivor and understand its purpose and was VERY good and skillfull at it ! While Unity while having Assassin's it BARELY fleshed them out , especially compared to Black Flag which was a PERFECT Pirate Game , a PERFECT AND UNIQUE STORY AND A PERFECT AND UNIQUE AC STORY and a DEEPLY FOCUSED STORY AND GAME ON ITS PROTAGONIST WHO IS EASILY A TOP 3 PROTSGONIST IN THE SEIRES , ONLY BEUNG BESTED BY BAYEK AND EZIO OF COURSE
