Man,I love this film...the scene where he realises that she peed herself because he told her not to move...Sid's expression in that seen is so difficult to describe..he feels guilty ,but he also sees the larger picture...how her character has just learnt to deal with it by herself..because no one was ever there for her...that hug is so intimate...its borne out of some emotion I cant describe..
That shot alone has changed my perspective of how good an Indian cinema on emotional scale can be in comparison to all the graphics and high tech support that others have.
In my case this film has such a sweet memory attached to it. When the movie came out my friend had gone and watched the film. The next day in school she narrated to me the story, scene by scene!... Even the songs weren't spared! Till this day anything related to Hassi Toh Phassi reminds me of her. Fun facts (1) she sent me the link to this video. (2) We were both psychology students. Loved this!
I feel like we spend the rest of our lives realising, acknowledging and undoing our childhood trauma. Some people are faster than others while others never even get started.
The best scene of the movie for me was when parineeti was in airport and she was wearing a black glasses.. The tear dropped from her left eye, after that from right and after that from left all that in a sequence and she wipe off the tears. and later she sat on the chair and cried. that was just brilliant acting ..
I remember I was the only person who liked this movie and Siddhartha's Baar Baar deko , Kapoor and sons, Dil dhadane do which is not everyone's favourite and I felt so excluded like there's some issue with me I'm not normal kind of, now seeing the appreciation this movie receives makes me feel better.
Me too ,I used to hate seeing movies which had no real life character ,events ,happenings and felt alienated for not liking them like my cousins used to
I'm so glad somebody is appreciating this film. I actually saw this in theatres and thoroughly enjoyed it and the emotional dynamic too. Great video as always.
This story is so relatable to the underdogs of the family... especially if they are simple andn born n brought up in strict environment where there only saving grace is they don't have any vices like drink or smoke(which by the way I don't care if they have but that's the common perception of the people) ..they like to do one thing they are passionate about but that thing is risky in economic terms so they are pushed to have a career which is stable n obviously don't like.. but man when they find the right person who supports them...Jo rocket ban ke udte hai that they fly above everyone
Man when I first heard and saw this movie trailer, I didn’t think it would be good BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! The innocence and genuine friendship between our two main characters! I laughed, I cried! Such a true gem!
@@shruti.7660 Chhichhore was a useless movie, it was extremely artificial when it comes to make the characters older, they all looked the same. Indian cinema needs to know the proper use of vfx. Unless lal singh chaddha used proper vfx atleast. Also, the story did focused in giving a beautiful message but it definitely could've made properly (pov. the main reason for flop)
This movie isnt the best Hindi movie but there is something innocence in the movie that stuck in my mind. there is a playlist of mine which I enjoy watching due to innocence of character and simple story like.. RHTDM, Dil Se, Tum Bin, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, Ek Deewana Tha
I watched this movie in the theatre with my family. Everyone loved this movie. Its a feel good movie. Theatre mai feel good movie dekhne ka experience hi alag hai...
Always felt the film had something special to say, but could never articulate why, Thank u 💓💓 you are just great at making people rewatch & reconsider films that didn't get the attention they deserved 🍁🍁
i love this movie. the way he hugged her when she peed herself, i fell in love with the pure innocence of that scene. but honestly, i dont think unka relationship jyada din tik payega because he left his fiancé. that will definitely create trust issues. he is unreliable when it comes to career, his own emotions and decision making. and family me bhi kalesh ho jayega especially between sisters.
What a beautiful analysis. I simply love this movie & watched it twice in the theater. I remember those days I landed up on my first conventional government job. I moved to a new city & have no friends. Hasee to Phasee & Highway came around the same time & made me feel so free.
This film is certainly not perfect, but it has taken up a space in my head, and on my favourite Bollywood movies list because it is a rom-com with all the heart that they tend to lack. Its also very funny, and it just hits the spot no matter how many rewatches I've done! I love how you articulated what makes this one special!
never had the chsnce to watch this movie! Gaanae ek dum close to perfect haen aur movie jeewan kae unaddressed(personality wise childhood traumas and social expectations) aur untold imperfections kae baarae maen hae! When in adulthood from a corner of my mind i see and hear a group of adults(both males and females) comparing each other and talking about " WHO HAS NAILED IT" 'IT' MEANS THE MOST(WHO HAS GOT IT ALL )PERFECTLY BALANCED COMBINATION OF ACHIEVING THE MILESTONES OF LIFE AND LIVING(FROM CHILDHOOD TO THE TEENS TO ADULTHOOD GOALS ETC) AND TALKING ABOUT THAT "ELUSIVE FORMULA" that everyone should ASPIRE TO ACHIEVE but no one knows what it is! every one PRETENDS TO KNOW and thinks they have achieved or are just one step away from getting that FORMULA right, right in the palm of their lives! Am glad i watched this video because this video and the movie sort of Undid the FORMULA and no one really gets it right even after ticking all the right boxes at the right time and being at the right place in the nick of (the) time! There is always another mind's(one's own mind)) demon to conquer or please! Kya yae "lighthearted ways of overcoming trauma hee jeewan hae" is the question! Hansee toe phansee apnae hee taanae banae mae aur doosroe ko phee phansa diyaa and viceversa ..pataa naheen
I loved your way of analysing the two characters. I think, primarily due to my own societal conditioning, I used to expect a man to be more hardworking and over achieving in nature. I used to always come back to watching this movie - solely to learn to respect a man even if he is “underachieving” as per me or the society! Seriously, we really need to customise our sense of understanding for both genders!
Wonderful Actually in your DP of your channel through specs holding by you which will allow you to see through the soul of a character and many people who don't really get the actual sense of art (movie) are able to understand. Thanks and lots of love and affection.
Hey! Thanks for what you're doing here! Appreciate your efforts. Have been following your work since the instagram posts. Might I suggest a movie - suraj ka satva ghoda by Shyam Benegal. Maybe you'll like to talk about it.
Everyone is appreciating this movies here… frankly speaking I watched the whole movie and could understand the theme and objective then I came here and still I have no clue 😂
Both carries childhood trauma & unconditional love ❤ towards each other... Make him recognize his true soulmate... They are missing piece of each other... 🥰😇😇😇😇😇😇unbreakable n undeniable bond between them.... Duniya jahaan ki bandisho ki ye kaha parwa kare jab khiche teri dor🥳(✿ ♥‿♥)
Beautiful video❤ Never saw the characters from the perspective of societal pressures and freedom and the dicotamy of gender in Indian society. Thank you for making this video. I am surely gonna enjoy rewatching this film ❤
I really liked this when it came out but now i find it really weird that the guy would fall in love with his girlfriend’s sister and she would just be sad and let him go without being shocked and devastated
I liked your interpretation but if you see the making of Hasse toh phasee they had a totally different concept but nevertheless they movie is one of my favourites

I love that tooo .. the pure innocence in that scene just warms my heart and handled very gracefully

I couldn't agree more man, both Siddharth and Parineeti have hit it out of the park in this movie.
🥺❤️🔥
bro, i searched for the review of this film after exact this scene!

Perfect casting
The name of the movie is what has kept people away from watching this movie! the person naming the movie deserves a pay-cut 😂😂
Same with Chhichore. Watched the movie in theatre with no expectations but enjoyed watching it.
It is a nice name ig

not really, its a good name imo
@@hambonefakenamington69 the issue is that ppl assume it'll be a comedy movie but it was very drama oriented.

Yet another gem from Cinemawali 👏👏👏 I had watched this film in theatres at the time of its release and fell in love.
I initially put this film away but after this video I'm encouraged to pick it up again! Great stuff!

wow this is a really good video! I had never seen this movie but now I'm certainly interested.
I just had a problem with Meeta being claimed to be bisexual. I don't think anywhere in the film it has even been slightly indicative of this fact.
I love this film- probably the best of those two actors
This movie>>>>
This is still One of my favourite movies.. I don’t know why it didn’t do well. I liked everything about this movie. ❤
