This is the Main Reason why K-Dramas are a hit among young girls. The writers of K-Dramas are pre-dominantly women. The Korean male lead characters draw the girls all over the world and the whole industry has benefited from it.
It's clear you don't read many novels, which is why you probably think only female writers create good stories. It's not entirely your fault, since many excellent novels never get adapted into series, films, or anime. There are plenty of talented 'male writers' out there, but their work often goes unnoticed by those who don't read novels.
And as for Korean-scripted series...they don't even scratch the pinnacle of fictional writing. You're likely just a K-pop fan, blind to the richness of world literature- but then again, it seems hardly anyone reads novels these days

Honestly SRK is himself a man written by a woman. I have never seen any celebrity who openly show so much admiration and respect towards women in media. All credits to his upbringing.
Haha.....you are blind i guess
He's an actor after all and honestly most of the women don't deserve that admiration and respect. They're NOT worth it.

I don't think there can be more films like October; that movie was one of it's kind. He deserves more roles like that that bring out his acting potential rather than his father's overacted comedies which should be left in the 90s.
"October" is still my one of favourite movie. I wish Varun do more such films.
There are few characters in Indian television industry which are also beautifully writtern by the female writer like Anirudh Roy Chaudhary from Barrister babu , Sooraj Rathi from Deeya aur baati hum and Sameer Masheshwari from Yeh unn dinon ki baat hai And all these three characters is written by one writer Shashi Mittal

Dan from October is my favorite. The way his character was shown in the movie was amazing. His thinking, his being responsible gradually, the way he handled his emotions were shown in the film such a way that is rarely seen on screen. To me this is the best performance by Varun, I hope he does this kind of movies more in future.
I also liked Sunny. He is sensible, thoughtful, responsible. He made Ayesha realize that she deserved better in life. We saw in the movie that, Anil Kapoor’s character funded his study and he accepted it as otherwise he wouldn’t be able to complete his dream. This was also very realistic and was shown in the movie very good way. Otherwise in many films, it would have been shown in a way that Sunny is greedy, he left his love for money.
Jin loge k family members ya close known ppl medical problem face kar rahe hai , They understand dan's character really well . For me that was the best performance for VD . It always remain my fav.
@@yogesharora108 I understand, it’s really heartbreaking to see your loved ones suffering helplessly. I can relate too. This movie deserves more recognition!
True. He actually felt like a real young guy and not some movie character who was trying to be a main lead or something. Just a regular guy who witnessed something horrible and decided to help. His character was really wholesome. And to think that the same Varun dhawan also played Badlapur revengeful character and nailed it as well just proves he needs better scripts and not typical Bollywood cliche roles.
Are you talking about character or actor? Because I felt Dan could have been a narcissistic. He was already an irritated person by nature, he was toxic from the beginning. Also because Shiuli asked “Where is Dan”, he felt he was got validation from someone and hence made his life purpose to take care of her. Now that is just an interpretation. However I wouldn’t say he is as much of a green flag as you guys make him out to be
@@Lazymath007_From the beginning, we sensed that he was toxic, but if we analyze it deeply, no one really cared for him at the start. His manager taunted him daily. So, it's not fair to say he was always toxic-he was simply irritated by everyone and desperately seeking empathy from someone. When he noticed that Shuili asked about him, he started to connect with her and take care of her. Only then did his true personality emerge. I think, in the real world, there are many people like Dan, ignored by society

Dan(october) and aditya (jab we met) ❤
Aditya deserved better, not a immature girl like Geet. Ayushman dodged a bullet.
@@Ramek139 Geet grew and matured as a person. The entire movie was a journey of both the characters growths.
How can you say Aditya deserved better when Geet literally saved his life, gave him the will to live, her impact on Aditya helped him grow his business to new heights.
You must be insane.
So basically men written by women are humans who are sensitive, considerate, empathetic, kind, supportive, secure, confident and not afraid to show their vulnerability and emotions. ❤🎉
Yeah, but you missed the most important part. They are all that to validate a women's emotions . Their vulnerability and compassion solely exists to validate others (mostly women) and decode their feelings not to be a emotionally healthy individual and just a good human being. This is why these are fictional men that the women writers idiolise.
Just like in many women written by men, supportiveness and kindness solely exists to uplift men.
In conclusion, these characters personify the selfish needs of women from men or vice versa.
It's such a pathetic take, i don't think any men make movies for them to be compared to some female writers, they are making because they like it. That's the only argument..
While in real life, girls friendzone guys with those things
@HemantKumar-id3jg well u took it that way
But men written by women in movies or books .they are not just shown as a supportive character to the female character
They are shown a person in the female characters life who is willing to acknowledge and support her in every way possible unlike what u said about the female characters in the films they are shown just as their whole life is dependent on the male character
Here men and women support each other by leading their life together and without being afraid of showing affection and love
@@loveyourself-n6ynot really

It is very easy to like single woman
But farhan in DDD loved Priyanka even after she was married, he supported her and motivated her❤️
@@Akash_S.. Ummm, not really. Farhan in DDD is likeable only because he was designed that way. You put the same character with Alizeh in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and he becomes the biggest Red Flag, Ayan. On that logic, Inspector Yohan from Jazbaa was a bigger Green flag, because he knew that he wouldn't get Sia, yet he treated her with absolute respect, and backed her plans.
'Mohabbat thi isliye jaane diya, Zidd hoti to baahon mein hoti' yun hi nahin kaha gaya.
Vicky kaushal in Raazi was somthing else. The character is the epitome of green flag and it has all my heart❤
Fun Fact: Patrick Bateman from American Psycho was directed by a female director Mary Harron.
No one cares about female directors
No, she took inspiration from Bret Easton Ellis (Author of American Psycho Novel)
she didnt take "inspiration". its not inspiration, it was an adaptation of bret's book. but the fact still remains that harron did direct american psycho. maybe she didnt write but, she sure was the director. lets not discredit her

My point was @Snehil_Rai 's comment isn't making any sense in this comment section. 5ocial is talking about the Men's character written down by Female writers in the video and comment is not making any sense . So that's why.
By the way I'm not disregarding Harons directing its good, Movie is also one of my favorite Bale's movies and she adapted it beautifully in his directing.

I somewhere feel that the men written by women are not heroes like obviously they are but these characters are more human rather than the saviour of the world who is here to save you and stuff they are just humans and how they're supposed to be
If by human you mean real, you would be wrong. They are still fictional. Just like tough men who can brush of any emotional turmoil is a male idea of ''heroic'' man. The overtly sensitive, armchair psychologist of a man who bends over backwards to validate everyone (especially women) around him is a female fantasy.
In reality, displaying either of these qualities all the time is emotionally exhausting. Men aren't stoic all the time. Like women, we feel and express emotions and are vulnerable. Some times men see emotions as a nuisance and something that's unproductive (which is of course wrong) so the man they want to be like is stoic and a tough guy (who may also be a violent misogynistic douche).
On the other hand, being that overtly sensitive and validating everyone around you is very emotionally draining. You can't care about every little thing, all the time. Men try their best to invest more of their time into thinking about what they are doing instead of how they are feeling about it. It's like being someone's therapist for free which is why a women's ideal man is a guy who is vulnerable, compassionate towards them and validates their feelings. The point is the ideal men women write about are emotionally open not for themselves but solely for women.
Same i think women written by women in this list were generic except raazi amd dear zindagi ... but same can be said for men .. mens who are good with the craft represent women more then a women writer could have represented if we look at fiction we can find that in writings of tagore and manto

Men written by women: Sensible, soft and emotional
Women written by men: OBJECT
WOW - you brought up such amazing movies and incredible characters played by some of the most remarkable actors. I have to give you on Kapoor and sons. Fawad was so realistic on portraying that perfect son. Its a truth that so many men have to live with in real life. There is SO MUCH expectations parents have and they don't realize the pressure they put their sons under. We know as women we already have a ton of pressure and we ask for justifications. However men too are expected to bring forth so much that sometimes its just as bad if not worse. Not justifying one gender against the other here. Just saying Perfection is a burden that is too hard to bear for both genders. Neither one of them is spared in the society we live in. I also agree with Talaash and depression being talked about. I think Aamir Khan did not get his due or fairness to how well that movie should have done and what he was clearly showcasing on the big screen. That pay attention to depression around you. We all are fighting it and no one is talking about it. Piku was on a plane all on its own. Each character was a gem and Irfan Khan as Rana was so real. He was so normal. It's people around us. People who see other people take on responsibilities and are like - I like her BUT like he states to her that he is not crazy enough to adopt a 90 year old child just because he has interest in her. It's a fact and true behavior.

I think men written by women can also be extremely toxic and downright horrifying: Edward Cullen, Christian Grey, Massimo from 365 days, Hardin from After, and the list goes on
Yeah. Because those characters were created keeping in mind a particular consumer-base 🤧
But the thing is these characters were not well written that is why they were so even boring to watch and these characters were really really bad and has some of the most toxic traits and yes a woman can write a lot of type of characters but they must know that whatever character they write and what type of character that's showing to the audience.
Of course they can. Women can absolutely write bad characters.
Here is a few things to keep in mind. Some of these characters were written by teenage girls as FAN FICTION.
Young impressionable teenage girls who've been fed a certain type of mentality about love and men, these were the writers for these men.
Of course, many grown adult women also write horribly, e.g Colleen Hoover. Her books are insufferable.
The point of this video is to explore the dynamics and the differences of how when women write well written characters portray men and how men who write well written characters portray men.
From what I understood from this list the male POV of a relationship is more goal driven, target the fruit. While the female POV of a relationship is more about bonding, the bonding may or may not be platonic. But this explains why guys keep trapping themselves in the 'friendzone'. For a man who spent months or years building something to get something, only to see some dude get it before him, is revolting, but it happens a lot. Each and every one of these male characters, most of them never get together with the women, but it's the bonding that's cherished. Whether it's Irfan Khan in Piku or Parambrata in Kahani.
If men only form friendships for sex, then they aren’t making friends. Is there such an expectation of sex from male friendships with men?
The fact that such men can’t see women as people, only as potential sex partners- is exactly why they get rejected. Women aren’t idiots, we can see and sense that and we don’t want it. We want to be seen as people, not merely vaginas.
Dear zindagi is a good movie but what if alia's character is replaced by a male character. Will it be still justified??🤔🤔
Why not ? Even a lil boy could feel abandoned by his parents and develop attachment issues in life. It's not gender specific. Alia's character was never shown in good light. She was a problematic person to date but it was through therapy, she realised her parents were also doing parenting for the first time and that was the first step towards healing. In the last few seconds, when they show Aditya Roy Kapoor as furniture maker, it is hinted she had healed enough to pursue relationship with commitment. I don't think replacing her character with a male character would have made any difference.
@@Escapist... Notice how you said ''little boy''. A grown man in her situation will appear whiny, irresponsible and entitled after some time, no matter how understanding the audience might try to be. He wouldn't appear lost or in need of help. Few would be able to look at him like that. The idea that men need to pull themselves together no matter the circumstances is deeply ingrained in the world.
Men who are weak and in need of help are not considered heroes. They can have emotional breakdowns in the past but for them to be admired those experiences should be the ones in past not present. That's the truth. There's nothing sad about it. Women have their own challenges which in societies like ours are much bigger than this.
Even in dear zindagi, women admire srk's character cause he is the one providing help and validating her.
@@HemantKumar-id3jg I wrote "little boy" only because when Alia's character was abandoned by her parents, she herself was a "little girl". I simply put the other gender in the same position.
@@Escapist... Yeah, I get it. But when she got into therapy, she was an adult and yet the audience could still empathise. My point is, they wouldn't if it were a man.
@@HemantKumar-id3jg Hi ! I couldn't reply properly because I was at work. I believe why people empathized with her has a lot to do with good film-making. The movie was made with sensitivity and several scenes were cut to keep only those scenes that had direct connection with her abandonment issues, so people could understand where her outburst was coming from and it wasn't just her being entitled. But I completely agree with you where you say weak men aren't given that margin of compassion. Hardly any movies are made where male characters, though are showing signs through their actions which scream for help, actively pursue therapy. I kept thinking about this and could come up with only a web series Afsos and short film Kriti, where men are shown to pursue therapy but both works aren't really a journey towards healing. Instead wherever male characters with men tal hea lth issues or even anger mana gement issues are shown, most of the times it is their love interest who is shown to bring a healing touch, which I honestly find absurd. I truly hope more such movies get made because men tal issues do not dis cri minate when it comes to gender; their depiction in popular media shouldn't either.
Varun Just need good script he is a good actor sui dhaga mad in India and October are the biggest prove of his ability
It was a great video. I will try to watch them all. Please make a video on the opposite. So we can understand different perspectives i.e. how well men write women and men write men.
Last thing, please do the face reveal.
