Thank you for this great time saver. I will be making a cast on rag tomorrow. Brilliant! Subscribed to your videos. Esther

Hello Sally. I was wondering if you could demonstrate how to use the CAST ON RAG WITH RAVEL CORD. THEN KNIT WITH MAIN YARN. I made my cast on rag but not really sure how to use it.

Hi Sandra, Just hang the loops of the cast on rag on the needles, then knit one row by hand feeding the ravel cord, then you can cast on by ewrap, or latch tool, over the ravel cord and continue.

It’s also shown on the video I made about closed cast on methods.

You hang the fabric to start the knitting off ..otherwise it can get some ladders and you have to sit there catching all the missed stitches but if you start with a peice like this it will usually be perfect from thee get go and then you can take it off when your finished and re use it.
