These cars almost seem timid, like the traction control is much too intrusive

Yeah it feels like the drivers can't push it as much as they want, you can hear the throttle going on and off in corners.

Renault made a good revival of the A110 when it comes to the apparence. But I agree that it feels saturated with electronics limiting its true potential unlike the original A110 which was raw to the core. But hey, coming from the last french brand that still makes proper sports car into production, I think it's ok. We all know what the french car industry is becoming nowadays, it's just pure disappointment when you know what they used to be back in the days.
