Wendy, you are quite the camper and etc. Are you in Canada? There is a lot to say about just sitting still and enjoying your time wherever you are at the time. I'm kind of surprised that you don't have a doggie traveling with you. But of course there are pros and cons about that. I have a big old dog and I take care of my Army son's 2 old dogs when he is in training or deployed. I also watch " Girl in the Woods" and she has camped and hiked and etc for many years. So nice to see seniors out and about to their hearts content and younger ones too. Thanks for a great visit.
What a great camp site with such a beautiful view. That was really fun to watch. I've fished since being a little girl. Do you fish too, Wendy? That's the first thing I thought of seeing that pristine water - fresh fish over an open fire. Can't wait to see more of your videos.
thanks for taking the time to watch. Brooke is amazing. I watch her regularly. Hope you can find something on my little channel that is entertaining or useful.
I love your little chuckles :) I wonder why you camp in a hammock rather than a little tent? Getting up at night would be a real problem for me, I think.
our ground around here is often rocky, wet and uneven- A hammock solves those issues. I do both depending on where Im going. I get up in the the night too but so far no issues with doing that.
Hi Wendy - thanks for another peaceful, enjoyable adventure. There is a tee logo I saw some years ago that said: "into to the woods I go, to calm my mind and find my soul." I think of this when I watch one of your videos. I'm not too sure about the amount of privacy regarding that toilet set up though! But better than none. 😄
That's a really nice hammock setup--haven't seen one like that before. Seeing that water made me want to go for a swim, but it's only just spring here--ice on the lakes.
Another fantastic video Wendy! I’ve had 3 outings in my Haven tent since I last spoke to you. I hadn’t been out in it then. I’m just home from 2 days camping in Glencoe in Scotland. Weather fantastic, scenery just breathtaking and my Haven tent was so so comfortable. I look forward to your next adventure x 🏴
Really nice video. You had a great site. I'm glad to see that the hammock worked out well for you. I see you picked up a air pump. That makes things easy...lol Enjoy and be safe out there.
Fabulous, thank you. It makes me very envious, canoe wild camping in a spot like that is very rare in the UK.....Scotland being the most similar........
hello Laurie- I think Scotland would be a wonderful place to visit. My ancestral homeland! Maybe I will get there one day. Thanks for your comments and taking time to watch.
I just think you're awesome! My current employment has me working on weekends and taking Wednesday and Thursday off...my choice for the last 21 years, so I can camp and hike without the crowds. I'll be retiring soon. Can't wait! More time outdoors. Thanks for sharing your outdoor time with us!
I hope you are getting out there too. Sounds like retirement will be a full and fun time for you. Stay well!! thanks for coming along and your comments
What a great camp spot, Love that toilet we dont have them like that here in Ontario their only wooden boxe's We do have the bear storage though, Your truly are amazing I am just over 65 you inspire me to go try solo I have always had someone go with me. Have you ever taken courses on back country camping or canoing. We have a fire ban all over Ontario Id not be able to have a fire . Thanks for bring us along with you such a beautiful spot.
hello Sue, I would love to have some one to go with but don't at this time so its solo for me. I haven't taken courses but I have back country camped a lot earlier in my life , back packing and kayaking , so I am familiar with what I need and safety. I do carry a satellite texting device now I am doing this by myself. We have fire bans in much of BC but this area is still open for the time being. A very dry spring here too. thanks for watching and coming along!
when sommeone was with me I back country camp, But due to the black bear in the area I was nervouse to do solo, and it is 45 min. In off a main road I should probably purchase a satilie phone , as it would make mr feel safer for sure Thanks for putting that in my head , Always a pleasure to see where youll go next.. Ontario
Was on a road trip and seeing this late. So beautiful a camp site, just perfect. Glad you are doing well and enjoying your outdoors. I love solo camping even if it is in my back yard sometimes. Love the outdoors any season!!! Wonderful meals and I'm glad you remembered the wine with your steak! So happy for you, thanks for taking us along. I know you inspire many to get outdoor and solo camping is best sometimes. Best Wishes! Hope to see you again soon.
thanks Joyce. Hoping you too had a great time away. I had a wonderful time. I notice that each time I go solo my sense of belonging increases. Always acutely aware of my surroundings but more relaxed internally. I am most grateful for the experience.
Wendy, your videos are absolutely delightful and informative! I’m really enjoying - thank you!
You are such a grateful person, you remind me to be present, be grateful

Wow, you must be really far north for it to stay light out so late!
A few hundred km north of Seattle Washington. not that far but it all helps. was also a grand day!!!

reminds me a lot of Quetico Provincial Park, in the Boundary Waters. My brother took me there. It's awesome what you're doing!
thank you Dorothy- there are beautiful places everywhere.

It is a great system , especially for wet uneven ground which we often have. I look forward to taking it out again soon after it warms up a bit.
