Thank you for requesting In Heavenly Live Abiding. It’s one of my favourite hymns and a hymn that’s not often sung today. It’s a wonderful hymn of assurance that our Saviour is with us always.
I think that Handel Largo may have been the featured piece performed at my old Minister's Ordination. I can still remember---as the organist was playing it in his honor---that buttoned-down old Calvinist, at his 25th Anniversary Ceremony, standing rigidly before the first pew in the front of the church and gripping that pew's banister as he stood solemnly and contemplated the meaning of his quarter century of ministry.
In response to Rx question around 1:48:44 "why do we have confession?" We often keep secrets from ourselves (our conscious self). We are unable to correct a problem that we cannot see. How did John Newton put it?, "I once was lost but now I'm found. Twas blind but now I see."
1:57:11 Blessed assurance (BLESSED ASSURANCE) in Our Chuch "Seliges Wissen: Jesus ist mein" a wonderful Song, text in German (1. Preist Ihn allein!

in Our Chuch "Seliges Wissen: Jesus ist mein"
a wonderful Song, text in German (1. Verse):
Seliges Wissen: Jesus ist mein!
Köstlichen Frieden bringt es mir ein.
Leben von oben, ewiges Heil,
völlige Sühnung ward mir zuteil.
Refrain
Lasst mich's erzählen, Jesus zur Ehr;
wo ist ein Heiland, größer als Er?
Wer kann so segnen, wer so erfreun?
Keiner als Jesus! Preist Ihn allein!
I sing the almighty power of God is a four-line verse hymn in all the books I know - to the tune ST SAVIOUR. Try it!
