It does not void the warranty. You can also check their checklist for warranty returns on the site. But you need to put the drive back into the case before sending it back.
Hi, please help, what power cables are needed to power it up after I followed all the steps? Theres the sata port and whats the power cale needed next to it? As just plugging in the sata doesnt work! Thanks
Help, I shucked a seagate expansion drive I went through a tested. Then took it out of the box case and placed it in my NAS sever and it would not read it. So I took it out and reconnected to its power supply an USB connector and it picked it up. Took it apart again after making it a stage pool but after using the slitter power cable and SATA it won't work.
If your Seagate drive is empty, you can format it on the computer first then it should pick it up assuming it works. Check out my other video, this video is targeted towards a Mac drive not being seen on a windows machine but the procedure is the same. th-cam.com/video/0jB2TRdBfFI/w-d-xo.html Again, only format this if it's empty as everything will be erased on it.
Hi. I just wanted to ask you a quick question unrelated to the video. Do you have any insight on when any manufacturers might be releasing their first wifi 6e mesh network devices? I look forward to your reviews. Thanks.

Good to know. Thanks

Hey, how is dom and first 5 number s/n?
can you say that on segate drives you dont need the 3 pin mod in general vs WD or does it still depends on were you put it in?
Maybe you don’t need it on the sea gate. I’m not sure
@@landpet thank you
thanks!
No problem!
What about opening the second part?
Great tutorial, funny enough here in mexico a 14TB drive right now is around 300 to 450 usd. However an external drive like this is at 250 in amazon.
Thanks! Yes for some reason the externals are less even though they come with extra hardware like the case, etc.

There’s a sata power cable that should come with your power supply assuming it’s not very old
@@landpet no unfortunately, no power cable came with my sata. Thankyou anyway 👍

Linksys has one already but it's fairly expensive. I don't much about the other companies. I think they will be much more common next year.
