so simple. lightweight. can easily be moved. can later be used for another project. Im going with this plan. Thank you so much. now to bug my husband. yay!
Thank you so much for posting this. I wanted to make a DIY upholstered headboard for a bedroom makeover, but I didn't want to do any tufting, and I didn't want to use flimsy/cheap foam board, or saw wood into individual panels either. The idea to use canvases (which already have wood frames, AND are all uniform in size, is absolutely brilliant, so thank you!
You did a fabulous job making the headboard. I have made or covered head boards using white vinyl material which is washable. It is husband and kid friendly. Keep designing. You are a natural.
Omg yes! Thank you so much for showing this method instead of huge plywood or foam board. This looks so great to hang without iffy command strips or screws!
I was searching on Wayfair for a headboard and prices were over $200. I can make my own customized version for well under $100. Thanks for the inspiration! This is my weekend project.
My husband (yes Spongebob 😂) have literally been fighting over what headboard we want! This is the first one we agreed on and love since it’s not ridiculously expensive!!! Awesome video thank you!!!
Great DIY! We had someone make my daughters headboard but after watching this, I think my lazy butt should have done this myself. Love the scissor part.
This is beautiful! I also had the question of if you attached them together and how did you hang them? I love that you used canvas! Super smart and super innovative!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment! After receiving many requests to show how I hung up my headboard, I have just posted a video highlighting the steps. Please check it out for all the details.
Great idea. By the way, you can buy nailhead on a roll that doesn't require measuring and can be hammered in every several nailheads. Saves time and aggravation!
Thanks for sharing this video, you made this look so easy. 👏👏Hitting the subscribe button now😊😊. Has anyone ever told you that you look like Meghan Good? Beautiful! 😍😍
It's a cotton material with a subtle floral design that I sound in the discount section at Fabric Land, I had bought 8 yards to be safe and ended up having some leftover material.
Thank you! I have a double and I can't remember the exact amount now, but it was not more than $100! I already had a staple gun, and some of the other tools I used so it might vary for you if you have to go out and get them.
Hi La'Shuda, yes the adhesive was given just a few minutes to dry (just long enough to apply the pressure that allowed it to bond). Because the foam goes on the canvas first, the fabric never comes in direct contact with the glue, so it doesn't get affected. I hope that answers your question! xoxo
The exact dimensions of the canvases are mentioned at 0:52. My bed is a double, so I chose the dimensions of the canvases that I used based on the size of my bed. I would suggest measuring the width of your bed before going shopping for canvases. You want the total width of all your canvases to be slightly longer than that of your bed. So you essentially have to adjust the size of the Canvases and maybe event the total number to suit the size of your bed. Thank you for watching, and I hope that helps! xoxo
In response to the many requests I received, I have posted a separate video showing how I hung up my headboard! Thanks for watching! 😀

HI I truly love it I was wondering what a size bed you made the canvas headboard and where u brought your canvas if you remember
Thank you so much! My bed is a size double, and the canvases were bought at Micheal's!
How did you hang it? It looks pretty light, but how did you decide on a height?
Great diy project !! What size bed do you have & what was your total cost for this project ?
Thank you! I have a double and I can't remember the exact amount now, but it was not more than $100! I already had a staple gun, and some of the other tools I used so it might vary for you if you have to go out and get them.

Hello there, I was just wondering if time was given for the adhesive to dry, then there wouldn't be a problem with it affecting the fabric right?
Hi La'Shuda, yes the adhesive was given just a few minutes to dry (just long enough to apply the pressure that allowed it to bond). Because the foam goes on the canvas first, the fabric never comes in direct contact with the glue, so it doesn't get affected. I hope that answers your question!
xoxo
I like those lamp shades did u design those? Please answer instead of a thumbs up

Can this be used for a twin headboard?? What size canvas to use?
