In Australia, we have one similar to the Goa that you tested in this video. We call it Brookes. I believe it is 'true to type' ie grows from seed. The seed is very thin so there is more flesh. That means the percentage of flesh to seed is higher in the Brookes. I don't know much about the history of the Brookes, what it's original purpose was. Unlike our famous Bowen Mango (Kensington Pride) which has a well documented history and is now so solid in its genetics, it can be grown from seed true to type. No more need to graft.
Our quarantine system makes it almost impossible to import new mango varieties which is sad because there are so many excellent types in other countries. But mangos are known to be massive disease harbourers so our country doesn't want to run the risk of bringing in disease that might escape into the commercial farming crops.
Have you been here yet to taste our mangoes?

This summer Walmart had Kent mangoes for $.20 each they didn’t appear to be in good shape so I only bought 5. They ripened and were amazing! Wish I had bought more! We also get the smaller yellow mangoes that are creamy . The name starts with an A (forgot the name). Love them. I won’t even buy a Tommy Atkins anymore. So fibrous!

Popular joke in Florida: it wasn’t an apple in the Garden of Eden but a mango. Got its name because God threw Adam out saying “Man, go!”
Way back in graduate school in the 1980s my Indian colleagues complained that hardly any varieties were available and the most common, the Tommy Atkins, was among the worst available in India. Dozens of varieties available in parts of India, they said.

    • @elhombredeoro955

Indica is classical Greek and Latin for "of India". Since scientific nomenclature is done in Latin you will find this word in the scientific name of many species example Azadirachta indica (Neem)
      Tamarindus indica (Tamarind)
      Ipomoea indica (Blue Morning Glory)
      Canna indica (Arrowroot)
      Limnophila indica (Marshweed)
Same is true for 'Americana' for something originating in America, 'Arabica' for something originating in Arabia and 'Persica' for something from Persia.
