I'm a Deere guy, but after watching your channel, I saw a small MF with front wheel assist and a loader near me . . . Guessing 35 - 40 hp tractor . . . I'm gonna have to stop and check model number, etc. . . I may have caught a bug watching you
Can not tell you how much I appreciate your channel. Grew up in the 60s and 70s on JD 4520, JD 6600, Massy 1805, and Massy 760. You could say we kind of had a calico farm. We have a cousin who had a Massy dealership back in the day, so dad gave him some business. Also had IH, but mostly tillage implaments.
i've heard the tight engines are the ones that seize. pretty amazing the tractor went from scrap to workhorse :). JT is the hero they needed in the Brave Little Toaster junkyard scene :D
glad she's running so well with all that work you put into it hopefully she's good for a long time. I enjoy a good balance of field work and projects so no complaints from me on yur content buddy. we gotta see these things in action!
Using that older equipment is awesome!! You do t need all that technology, automation crap that you have to take to a dealer to get fixed cuz they are the only ones allowed. There is more pride in using the older machinery it was built for, true work horses. That is so AWESOME!!!!!
Damn right, the 50 year old tractor was up to it! I enjoy the farming as well as the projects. Congrats on the yields! Maybe the weather gods will smile on you next season as well.
JT, consider lining the floor with mud flaps. Cuts down on noise, heat from transmission and vibration. We used to get seconds from local manufacturer.
Excellent job on the 1800 fuel filter 👍. In the past when I've ran into bleeding issues, I pressurized the fuel tank before tightening up the fuel filter. Works every time.
If you cover the center threaded hole and fill the filter from the outside holes you will essentially filter the fuel as you pour it in. A CAT technician showed me that their big fuel filters come with caps over the center hole so you can prefill without sending dirty fuel to the injection pump.
My father had close to 50 years farming ,he felt the same about those power shift tractor ,they were good to keep the dealers in business in servicing them
I watch for the projects and then seeing you actually use the projects. There are plenty of museum pieces, use the tractor for what it was built! Also I like the Exhaust set up on that 1800; it comes of the top of the pipe, the bottom of the muffler and the small hole in the bend at the bottom. Very efficient 🤣
Former truck driver here. Cat C15. Changed many fuel filters by filling the filter with no pumping. I've done it at the fuel island when gelled up. No issues ever.
It's so awesome watching you getting the ground ready for wheat. It brings back alot of good memories. Thought you might use the 1150 but it would be a shame to get it dirty! Boy I sure love the sound of the V8 MASSEYS. Again thank you for sharing your life with us.
The old girl did a nice job and the way you changed the filter is the way I change it on my IH 454 no air bleeder pump on it but my Chinese farm pro 2420 does have the pump .And it’s nice you are getting such a good yield on your fields
Doesn't matter what the video is we will be there I'm a 70s tractor guy red, green, orange mistakes are learning curves as they say what's the best work rework 😅😅 keep them coming 👍👍
No computer, no auto steer, no GPS, no subscription fees.....just good old fashion HP that gets the job done. I sure wish they had a cup holder sometimes ....but I guess that one is up to me.
Great video as always, I find it hard to believe that someone was going to scrap that beautiful tractor, for the oil to be in that condition after chiseling 10 acres that engine hasn’t done much.
Looks like the 1800 is pretty healthy after all. If you have all you Air Conditioning components left or want to get them working, it’s not a bad job. I have done quite a few. I would be willing to help depending on where you’re located in Michigan. Thanks for the videos.
Red Dot makes some pretty nice kits that adapt pretty well, especially when you have a large cab like the 1800 and 1805. We used a rooftop mounted unit on a semi truck and it worked great, if you don’t mind the look.
The hood almost has to come off to get the compressor mounted and I swear, that hood probably weighs 300 pounds! Not three square inches of plastic on these machines. Everything is overbuilt...like in the old days!
Excellent Video JT :) also wanted tell you that Tractor you paid for it got money out her especially new Red Heart ❤ to live on and owner to ! I know you had nice Tractor at start top it off!
Get rid of that damn muffler and put a 5" straight pipe on her and let the bald eagles soar! I love the sound of those ol 10 liter v8s. We had two ford 8k grain trucks with the 3208 eingine and i loved feeding them the onions... great to see u putting it to work. Keep em coming
@@northdakotaham1752 no. You would be surprised. As much pipe he has leading up to his collector with the same hight of 5" and flapper. It wouldn't be as bad as u think.
Hey JT, it's hard to explain to some how good it feels to sit in some 50 year old technology and get the job done. Smelly, noisy rough riding and hot! Somehow it all feels right!😅
Your 1800 pulls very nicely. Good on fuel. It's not a huge engine, but it's just right for the job at hand, so it's efficient. You really did well getting your 1800 working again. Looks great. Are you self-taught or did you take some mechanical courses etc?
Nothing little about that old Massey great rig now that you have gone through it and gave it another chance to do what it does best. You really can't beat a old Massey Ferguson
It depends on if your fuel tank sucks from the bottom of the tank and your pickup tubes in the bottom of the tank but I would fill it full of fuel the filter and Hold It Wide Open
Hey JT, You can get air conditioner units that mounted in the ceiling, Friga king made them. That might be something you would be interested in. HAPPY NATIONAL CB RADIO DAY, 10-4 😅
Love that you not only restore this equipment but actually use it and show it in the field. Please keep including the field use also.
Right on! It all gets used around here!
I have watched you with that Tractor since bringing it home and after all the work money and time, you have a right to be proud.
Thank you! I appreciate that
Love hearing that cat purr. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
I’m glad you are getting those monsters working after somebody gave up on them. I’m partial to the Massey tractors, also.👍
Right on

It's great that you use your projects and not just let them sit in the barn. Happy that your season is going well!
Thank you!
That 1800 is a beautiful piece of machinery. 👌🏻💪🏻
Thanks!
As a 30-year truck driver we filled our fuel filters up with dexron ATF. It helped clean the injectors.
Interesting! I could see that doing the job!
I love it man i love watching the older machines work and work great, excellent show today!!! As always
Thank you 😊
I love watching these old tractors work. Keep the farming videos coming
Will do!
Thanks again JT for letting us watching you in the field using one of your awesome tractors. Here’s to a job well done 🍺
Thanks 👍. I appreciate that!

Bingo! And the pride of rebuilding them all myself!
Every thing is a project J T. Weather your farming or working on a tractor. It's always been good content. Thanks for sharing.
You got that right!
I enjoy watching your channel….you have all the fun
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks!
Very good running tractor, looks pretty dam nice going through the field.

Nicely done!! Thanks for the ride along. Gunslinger is still the stud in the stable,,lol. Its happy hour,,,Kugels all around. Cheers 🍻
Right on!
You gotta nice tractor there, the 1800 turned out amazing and wants to be working. Great video JT and can't wait for the next update.
Thanks 👍
Enjoyed all of the videos. Much rather see the equipment being used instead of trailer queens.
Thanks!
Damn right, the 50 year old tractor was up to it! I enjoy the farming as well as the projects. Congrats on the yields! Maybe the weather gods will smile on you next season as well.

That was going to be a failsafe option 😉
Yes buddy, I understand. It's clear you know what you are doing no doubt. Great Massey channel. Love it.
Another great video with some great old machines and of coarse a great ending.
Glad you enjoyed it!
If you cover the center threaded hole and fill the filter from the outside holes you will essentially filter the fuel as you pour it in. A CAT technician showed me that their big fuel filters come with caps over the center hole so you can prefill without sending dirty fuel to the injection pump.
Right on! Someone else mentioned that earlier, and I will use that piece of advice!! Thank you!
Thanks for the ride along she's doing really well JT 👏👏👍👍
Thanks 👍
The old girl made easy work of that field. Good work JT !
Right on!
First gear, it's alright..
Second gear, I lean right...
Third gear, hang on tight.....
Nice run... !!!
Right on! Thanks!!
I enjoyed every second of thos videos so far thx .All the best for the crops
Appreciate that!
The Old Massey sounds Awesome,Gettner done
Thanks!
Nothing like the smell of fresh plowed ground and burning diesel. Tractor sure getting it done.
Bingo!!
My father had close to 50 years farming ,he felt the same about those power shift tractor ,they were good to keep the dealers in business in servicing them
Right on, can’t argue with that!

But why does everyone feel the need to pick out the exhaust leaks???
I don't know who was enjoying themselves more jt or the old 1800. Good to see the 1800 getting a workout
I think it was a tie 😆
great tractor and video as always
Thanks 👍

The 1800 when warming up smokes like your barn is on fire. My 1500 is the same. Love the smoking old tractors
Right! She does leave a cloud for a few minutes lol
Keeps the mosquitoes at bay for a short time. My 1805 does the same and has exhaust leaks in about all the same locations.
Love your videos JD. Sounds like you need a clutch.
Thanks! Just needs adjustment. The trans brake isn’t brake-ing. Lol
The old girl did a nice job and the way you changed the filter is the way I change it on my IH 454 no air bleeder pump on it but my Chinese farm pro 2420 does have the pump .And it’s nice you are getting such a good yield on your fields

Been wrenching for45 years I’ve always filled my fuel filters first with no ill infects just saying. Love your videos keep them coming
Right on! It is always my fear that I’ll mess up one of these antique injection pumps
Great video JT. Farming or Projects I'll be back for more.
Appreciate it!
Farming or projects, it's ALL good JT!
I appreciate that!
the interior looks like a mature farm tractor I Love the area rug ... CLASSY ! 😁
Thanks 😉😆
Looks like it’s working up pretty good. And that 1800 sounds really good and it seems to handle that disc chisel well. Great job!
Thanks 👍
My first tractor big tillage tractor was a Massey 2745 I believe back in 1980! I had the world by the tailback. Love Massey’s !
Very cool!
Well done JT, she goes well, you should be proud of your work on that beast, nice to see the plan coming together,,,,,
Thanks!

Thanks!
Gotta love farmin. A job where breakin even is a win.
Right!
I love the "Prayer Rug" 🤣😂😇. Don't forget Bluetooth Audio and a nice cab fan kit.

Bingo! Agreed!

Love content, is it not possible to fit a squeeze pump primer in your fuel line, to make the job easier, just a suggestion 😎
I think I could, definitely would help
You mentioned filling the new filter with dirty fuel. Dont you have a filter on your bulk/service/transfer tank?
Yes, but rather safe than sorry
JT. There's a Massey Ferguson combine about 6 miles from me. 650. With corn head and bean head for sale.
