I'm a Braves fan, but man I'm excited for the wildcard Friday. Citi Field has a crazy playoff atmosphere and I expect NY fans to be wild. Imagine y'all play the Phillies and Noah actually pitches. That game would be insane.

Why is the general manager not being blamed?? The Mets gm should have know he had expiring soon to be free agent contracts. I believe 3 of 5 starters; centerfield; closer etc. instead of taking a good team and adding depth etc he kinda shopped at the dollar store. Now with the media blast all the pressure good chance the Mets don’t get out of the wildcat round. Yet; even if they do their reward is the dodgers and will be without their ace starters for at least the first 2 games. Means mostly likely either Carassaco or Walker makes 2 starts against the dodgers if it goes that far.
Braves have been a force since June 1st -- playing like tough world champs -- even Scherzer and deGrom could not shut the Braves down which is what it would have had to take in order for the Mets to win any games because they did not hit or score runs -- it aint over till its over - PRAY STERLING MARTE comes back and hits - if he does i still have faith in Max and Jake

As a Braves fan, I was afraid the Mets were going to be a 100 win team with how Cohen was throwing his money around. I'm interested to see how Buck will use the pitching staff. Braves are tremendous. I don't think they'll win it all, but I think the Cardinals at 20-1 is really good value. Worth putting $100 on.
They weren’t supposed to win last year either, yet we all know what happened. What should really scare the other teams is this years Braves team is much better than last years. With upgrades at many positions like the rotation and bullpen the rotation is much better. Acuna in right this time and Michael Harris not only helps with the bat but is in my opinion the best defensive center fielder in baseball.. I think people forget the Braves have gone up 3 to 1 against the dodgers in the NLCS the last 2 years.

The Mets had a 35-17 record on June 1, when they were 10.5 games ahead of the Braves. From that date they went 66-44, a .600 winning record, which can hardly be considered a disappointment. It's just that the Braves were insanely good after June 1, going 77-34 for a .694 record. Yeah, losing all three in that critical series was a disaster, but the fact that the Braves were even in contention at that point is an amazing achievement on their part.
