Hey Jayda... I love all your patterns. They are fun to make (sometimes challenging, though like Jacob's Ladder 😉) and can't stop making those. I just loved this Irish Rose pattern. You are a great teacher too. Keep inspiring. ❤❤
I ❤❤❤ the Irish rose. Can’t wait to start mine. I was taught this in high school 50 yrs ago. Saved the pattern. In a “ safe place”. TY for bringing it back to me Jayda!!!🎉
I love this square! When I am done with the calendar blanket for my Grand niece, I am going to make a blanket for my bed with just this square! I can't wait to make it!
Love how beautiful this is! Thank you for teaching me this craft, I wanted to learn as a child and no one would teach me. I made long daisy chains and didn’t know what to do with them. I used my toes to hold tension. Finally learned how from your channel in my 40s. Now I can make almost anything and have been crocheting for 7 years. I wish I would have had you at age 6. It’s never to late to learn a new craft though!
Beautiful granny square! Will be starting today! Does look complicated lol! Glad that you do explain well! 😻🧶Just completed, not as hard as I thought! Love the way the flower looks in the middle! Thank you
Yellow roses are my favorite also. I think I will make one with a yellow rose and pink square and one with a pink rose and a yellow square since my moms favorite color was pink and today would have been her 71st birthday I will keep the yellow rose one for myself and place the pink rose one on her grave instead of real flowers 🌸
I am glad so many like this block. It is pretty, but I'm not a fan of 3D crochet or knitting patterns. I made the block. You gave great instructions. Looking forward to seeing what you come up for next month. I do appreciate all of the work you and Mr. in Stitches do.
Hi jayda & mr institches, I have just watched your video. Jayda, this Irish rose granny square is really beautiful!. You are a talented lady& awesome teacher!. Thankyou for sharing this, I am definitely going to give this a try. Beautiful, uplifting yellow rose. 💛 enjoy your weekend with mr institches jayda! Mandy uk 🇬🇧 xxx😊
So much fun! I love your version of the Irish Rose. Lovely! Thank you Jayda & Mr InStitches for all the joy you deliver every week. Have a great weekend! 🎉😊
I needed to see if I was able to crochet this square. The rose is so pretty in the center. I grabbed a piece of scrap yarn and....I did it!!! It looks a little rough but I think if I use some good yarn I'll be able to pull it off :) Thanks, Jayda!
As someone said earlier, "it's easier than it looks". And now I'm caught up. I missed May but went back to it yesterday. Now I also have June done. I am enjoying the process of making these squares.
Never make the Irish Rose granny square. Well, I enjoyed making this square😊 I finished four, yay!!! Thanks for great tutorial. Need to finish making the last one of four for last month, lol. Look forward to next month's square!❤
What a wonderful pattern! I love it! And the way this rose is constructed it gives so many possibilites not only for a granny square, but also to make it a little bigger and then attach it to a stick or flower wire and make a bouquet of roses. I also wonder if this rose could be expanded indefinitely? I'm thinking about making a middle inside part of a rose to fill in that little gap. A contrasting color would make it pop out even more. And I absolutely love your yellow rose on the navy blue background. That square helped me make up my mind and go with a solid color for the square. On the side note, my expectations for the next patterns skyrocketed and I can't wait what pattern you'll come up in July. Thank you so much for showing us so many wonderful patterns for so many things. Ever since I've found your channel I got hooked up on making calendar blankets. It's so addictive thing to make. I'm really running out of people who I can make blankets for. lol
HI Jane! The flower can be made larger, and for several more rows... honestly I'm not sure how many rows it might top out at! I'm so glad to know you're enjoying the project!! Thank you for watching 😊
Loving this year's calendar blanket. I just started itt beginning in August and I'm at June's square now. I couldn't do the March square or June square So I just made traditional squares for that month.
Hi Elaine, we're so happy to hear that! That's the nice thing about a project like this, you can use any of the squares you like as many times as you like, and/or sub in the traditional one too 😁
Hi Robin! I hand wash anything I make (that I care about) so I haven't had any trouble with these or any other 3D crocheted articles. Just lay flat to dry 😊
Hi Belinda! If you're already into row 3 of the flower, you missed the extended double crochets we used in row 2 of the flower (the medium and large petals both use it). You can find the explanation of it at the beginning of row 2 at 12:39 😁
Oooh Interesting! Now my brain is really working overtime… in terms of layout & joining. How many 3D squares do you have planned total for this blanket?
Hi Melodie! We mentioned a border is coming, but not the type 😊 We also mentioned that some folks are adding borders to the individual squares to make them larger or uniform, and the Granny Shell Stitch will work for all of them 😊
Hi! It's our 2024 Calendar Blanket, 1 per month, 12 unique designs 😊 I'm using specific colours for my squares, but you could definitely use scraps because they're all granny squares 😁
Hi Sandy, it depends on the kind of bag you want to make. I usually used cotton yarn to make my bags (if they're market bags), and usually I use size 4 medium weight cotton. Most of the "dishcloth" cotton I've used to make my market bags I get at Walmart.
Hi! The first row of petals need their space, so it's not recommended. But if you do use a magic ring, you'll have to make it larger and leave it mostly uncinched so that your petals aren't squished together. Make sure you leave an extra long tail for weaving in to make sure it doesn't want to open up on you.

Hi Taz! Thank you, you too! 😊
Love this month’s square. I just want to keep making the flowers and attach them to everything!!

I love it when something looks tricky, but winds up being easy 😁
Made this square back in highschool. I used variegated yarn for the rose. I lost the pattern so many years ago. So glad you made it.thank you.😊
Wonderful! It's a classic, we had to include it 😊
I am just starting my Irish rose's today and I am enjoying learning it. This will be saved in my crochet patterns
Wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊

Happy June Square, Everyone!
I concur! Happy June Square 😁
This square would be great to add to a twiddle blanket. Thank you.
It's got that textured appeal 😁

I love this!!! I can imagine that rose will be used in other applications.
Yes! It definitely can!

Wow such nice flower pattern will you make other flower squares
😁 Thank you Eleanor!
Looks like fun!!!😉
It is!! (at least, if crochet is your thing, it sure is 😂)
Oh my I'm loving this square! I used yellow rose then pink and green!!...❤
I love this granny square. Could you make more rows and make it into a pillow?
HI Sandra, you can continue to add rows to this granny square, it's the last shell stitch row repeated as many times as you need 😊
Pretty! Does it wash well?
Hi Robin! I hand wash anything I make (that I care about) so I haven't had any trouble with these or any other 3D crocheted articles. Just lay flat to dry 😊
Really lovely but I’m stuck. What is 3 extended double crochet at 18:34? Thanks❤❤

* giggle * no hints!!! 😁😂
I just wonder how to put these squares together at the end. I'm making 4 of each square.
Definitely take some time to arrange them on a flat surface (table, floor or bed) and see what order you like best 😊
Jayda a couple months ago you had mentioned what the border will be for the granny squares. What pattern/stitch is the border again ?
Hi Melodie! We mentioned a border is coming, but not the type 😊 We also mentioned that some folks are adding borders to the individual squares to make them larger or uniform, and the Granny Shell Stitch will work for all of them 😊
@@JaydaInStitches thank you!!!
ow many squares for the hole blanket? Is my first time traying to follow you. Are you using left over yarn?
You are amazing 😂
Hi! It's our 2024 Calendar Blanket, 1 per month, 12 unique designs 😊 I'm using specific colours for my squares, but you could definitely use scraps because they're all granny squares 😁
I´m making this year´s blanket in brown and white tones, but I´m not sure what color to use to make the flower. I´m thinking in white 🤔
Hi Stephanie! White for sure! It would look beautiful against a brown background 😊
Hello Jayda trust you are keeping well may I know where can I buy the thread that I've seen for crochet ing bags do reply tc God bless ❤

Im not seeing anything that says messages seller
It depends on your software, but usually it's somewhere near the bottom of the page.
