FYI ---- In me younger days ( 72 now ! ) I sold Kubota excavators when they were first brought into the USA. It was a tough job back then because
used tractor backhoes sold CHEAP ! * ! * ! It was very difficult to sell little / little / little mini-excavator being as we were the 1st on the market.
This was back in the late 1970's to early 1980's ). We also sold Bobcat Skid Steer Loaders and they sold like crazy. Guess what the commission
salesmen pushed. You guessed it...BOBCATS. Back then Kubota Excavators came into the country without cabs. You got a four post roll-cage
with a sheet of metal to serve as your roof. VerySMALL and Very SPARTAN. JimInCincy.....

Congrats on your new excavator . I used to have 8 mostly wooded Acres, with a brook that ran across it. I did a lot of Landscaping on the property but used to just rent a Bobcat excavator, slightly larger than what you have to do any digging and a bobcat loader for moving dirt and loam around. Be sure to lower the Dozer blade when using the excavator to dig

"Katosaurus"....That boom and bucket looks like the neck and head of a brontosaurus. I would call the skid steer "Katonator" since it says, "Hasta la vista, Baby", to any job it takes on.

nice machine you might want to look into a werk-brow rake bucket for tree and stump work
been thinking a lot about how the new tool bins and shop tables could actually make a nice kitchen counters and the whole bit considering a drop in range tops and build in ovens
the cost of the cupboard and counters are definitely doable for a certain spartan look

Remember to bring your thumb to your bucket when grabbing stuff. The power on the bucket can break some thumbs. You are going to love that machine. You will create projects just to get out and do some digging!

speaking of mike Morgan suggestion check out his rake like bucket that he uses for lifting log and getting rid of stumps between thumb and rake like bucket great fir clearing brush and organic trash
I still think that the track loader and fence post puller would make short work of those pear trees !!
zero tail swing means the rear of the machine does not extend beyond the tracks. So as long as you miss it with your tracks, the rear of the machine will not hit anything. So the only thing that goes beyond the tracks is the boom.

Viewers care about you and want to see you stay safe and healthy to take care of your beautiful family. Question: Will it be possible for you to put your new excavator under a roof and in an area that offers protection from UV light? That will keep the paint from fading and all the rubber & vinyl components from cracking.

Nice machine. From experience, I'll say the mower very much depends on what material you will be mowing. I have a flail and a rotary cutter. My experience has been if it's over 3/4" in diameter and woody, you'll be disappointed with the flail. And I ran mine on a 64 hp machine. It just doesn't cut clean. Just my opinion. Good luck.
Seems like there's some healthy competition for those small excavators, and from what I hear, people are pretty happy with Kato, Deere, Caterpillar, and Kubota. If I ever get one, I'm not sure how I'd even choose between them.
