EDIT: Eliza does NOT have a neurological condition. I got her confused with another white cat that will be on the channel soon. She was wobbly because she was sedated, and possibily has some weakness due to being a senior. She is not available for adoption YET...but she will be soon once her hyperthyroidism is under control. *FOLLOW AND/OR ADOPT ELIZA* instagram.com/kittifoster?igsh=MWI0N2xwZXYybTFpbQ== *ADOPT ELIZA* www.forgottenones.ca
I had a 21 year old senior cat. His name was Shaqtavius J. Hunt. He went to bed for the last time in April of this year and I can't tell you how great it is to spoil a cat in their last days/years. I found him as a drunk college student under a dumpster as a kitten with no mother in sight. I bottle raised and kept him his entire life. He will forever be missed and I have a painting of him above my desk in my office. He lived through 3 other cats and 4 dogs. Party hard in heaven my main man Shaq J. cat.
I'm ashamed to confess I Laughed out loud when she slipped over in the bath and ended up with bubbles on her nose! She seemed more interested than scared when she was put in the bath- perhaps the warm water was a revelation for her. She is an absolute sweetheart, so I hope she gets lucky and someone decides to give her a forever home!
I had a white cat for 7 years. His favourite place to snooze was in the back of my closet. He’s been gone for a few years now, and I occasionally still find the odd white fur in the depths of the closet. 😂
I haven't had cats for 10 years and I still find litter buried in my basement rug!! They did have the run of the house, that's just where I kept the litter boxes. The basement was finished off with carpeting and paneling so it wasn't some dank place.
I had a white and brown tabby medium hair cat, and he was the sweetest boy. Been without him for maybe 3 years now, and I still find hairs or shed whiskers from him. I got a new cat not long ago, ad she's black all over, so when I find white or brown fur or white whiskers around my home, that's from my sweet ol' Rowdy Rao, not Medea (new cat).
I saw on her foster's Instagram that Eliza passed away a few days ago 😢 Thank you for giving us a chance to see how sweet and cute this little old lady was in life. Anyone would have been lucky to have her. ❤
Is their no way you could travel to adopt her or even pay for her airfare to be delivered to you because I seen people do this for adoption when they we're unable to go adopt in person due to not living in the area
@@mercedesvelasquez8781Normally that should be no problem but she is a senior cat. Driving or even flying is a very stressful situation for animals, especially cats. So she could end up dead if they tried that just because her heart is also senior... So I fully understand these thoughts
I have a sweet senior kitty named Eliza as well! She's a black kitty with way more sassy. It's like looking in a parallel universe! I really hope she gets adopted. Adopting a senior cat was one of the best decisions I ever made!!
My cat (13 y.o neutered male, tuxedo) suddenly lost a patch of fur on the back of his neck, two years ago. It grew back, but then he started to loose some weight. He’s always been a big boy, so this got my attention. And then he lost another patch of fur, so I took him to the vet. Turned out he had CRAZY hyperthyroidism. Crazy bananas level of hormones! So now he gets a liquid medication twice a day, and will need new bloodtests drawn every 3-6 months.
Yep. My ‘tank’ of a tabby started eating everything in sight and stealing table food but losing weight. Turns out not diabetic as I thought but hyperthyroid. Medication got him another 3 years, a balancing act between kidneys snd thyroid… he slipped out the door one night looking for food, I guess
What a sweetheart! As a human with a neurological condition that makes me very uncoordinated, I love seeing people loving on disabled pets that are wonderful in their own ways.
When I was in high school in the 70s, my friend's cat had kittens. I got the pick of the litter. I chose the all white one (male). He hissed at a few hours old. I picked him. He was the meanest cat ever. He chased neighbors and animals. He lived 15 years. It was a long 15 years.
What a sweet little bit of marshmallow fluff! She is such an angel - I hope her forever family finds her soon. She would be such a nice addition to any family. 🩷🤍🩷
What a sweet girl she is. She didn't meow at all. My cat likes the tube I call it fishy I don't know why but she gets it every Thursday afternoon as a treat.😊❤😊
Thanks for featuring a foster! It can be tough to find someone willing to groom foster animals because we as foster parents have nooooo idea how the animal will react. Understandably many groomers aren't ok taking that kind of risk, especially because they were often very neglected and going to take a lot of work. Im greatful for people like you and the worderful groomer I found who were willing to help fosters!
Just about every cat I see, I want to adopt. I love the ones who are laid back and tolerate being handled. I currently have 3 cats and I don't want any more. There are days, when I question my sanity at the time I said, I would take them. I had 3 other cats before I got the current set. I never had a problem with any of them going outside the litter box, no matter how bad it got. I clean each litter box (4 of them) at least once a day and sometimes more often. After 2 years of struggling with the problem, I'm at wits end as what to do. I will be replacing the carpeting in the hall way with something more durable & easier to clean.
Hi Vanessa, You are such an angel, If God ever said he was looking for another angel, I'll send him straight to you, you are a real heart warmer and I love your personal touch to all of the animals you take care of, keep up the great work.
I took care of my neighbor’s sweet old kitty two summers back, he was 20, older than me at the time!! His name was Miracle, a fitting name! He really needed a bath though, poor kitty! I’m sure he got a lovely bath when he crossed the rainbow bridge🌈🕊️
As much as this warms my heart and bless this beautiful kitty, it also pains me to think so many people would dismiss the suffering of our fellow humans and yet are able to extend so much compassion for cats and dogs. Keep up the good work Vanessa.
Sweetie pie! I had a bookshop in Ohio where shelter cats were fostered and then adopted by customers. More than 50 were adopted from my shop over the years. I then wrote a series of novels about the experience (Shelve Under C: A Tale of Used Books and Cats is the first) to encourage other shops to look into fostering dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. Thankfully, the business that took over my location continued to foster.
Im in love with her omg. Sadly i cant adopt her due to location but i wish her the loveliest family and forever home ever ❤️ Thank you for taking care of her
Forgotten Ones!! That's where we adopted our bonded babies from back in late 2019 and donate to them each year 🥰 Hope Eliza finds her forever home soon!
Sweet angel was my exact thought. What an adorable little floof. I know she appreciated you being so calm and gentle with her. Senior cats make wonderful companions. I think this girl has many good years left, and I hope her age doesn't hold up her finding a wonderful home for her golden years.

I hope someone adopts her
God, she is so cute. She reminds me of my little calico nana.
What a cutie. White cats are magical.
ohhh okay i was confused, i was wondering what kind of neurological condition would cause her to just be chill

that is an epic name for a wonderful cat
Blessed cat distribution system
You know that cat had a big personality with a name like that (possibly the best name for a cat I’ve ever seen). Condolences to you and your family.
Have you heard of Ja’Barkis? Another great name

My Tony loves the closet. I actually barricade my room’s with a box of books to keep him from getting himself all over my clothes.
I, too, had a closet cat. He liked to sit on a pile of clothes in the closet. He lived to 22.

this shows all animals, with or without neurological conditions can and should be loved.
I hope she finds the perfect family for her needs. She is beautiful!!
So true.
This makes me miss my white kitty 😭
She is so beautiful 🥹♥️
Turns out Eliza doesn’t have a neurological condition she was just sedated and it made her loopy 😅
If I lived in the area I would adopt her in a heartbeat. I also have thyroid problems. She's a kindred spirit.

Me too I have thyroid issues too, so I am used to looking after that health issue. Beautiful cat.
