So much needs to be discussed, it’s NOT JUST HOT FLASHES. There’s severe anxiety, chest pain, arm pain etc… and most drs do not understand hrt, but are reeeeal happy to give you antidepressants.

Don’t forget all the stupid electrical shocks randomly shooting through random parts of your body, especially the abdominal area. I hate it. Why do we have to go through all of this for the majority of our lives? That’s something I’m asking Jesus when I die.

Yeah, I actually think im dying at times. So my question is, when does it end? After you hit menopause? Or is this forever

@@kellyverbeek6759 I realize this comment is from 6 months ago but I have developed all of these symptoms! I feel like I’m losing my mind. I just turned 42 and although I had some symptoms before, but in the fast few months it’s hitting me hard! I’m always hot, I get so many random pains. I also have Crohn’s disease and a rare disease called HHT. So I’m always on edge. No one talks about how horrible perimenopause is!

I've looked at so many doctor videos on TH-cam about pre menopause symptoms not one mentions the debilitating symptoms of dizziness and disorientation and vision problems - I've been keeping track of my cycle for 2 years and I always get them about a week before menstruation. it is so scary to go through it. this is making me feel like I'm going nuts. it is so disappointing that all these medical professionals talk about the generic hot flashes, mood swings, depression. it's 2024, for heaven's sake! you must have more to give to women who are suffering these debilitating symptoms :(((((((

Ok...I didn't even pair the vision problems and peri menopause together! About a week before my cycle I've been having blurred vision and these like flecks in my peripheral vision and when I look to the side they're gone. I can't believe someone commented this. I thought I was going crazy!! Went to an eye doctor and I'm in tip top shape with my vision as well! Thank you for making my anxiety way less now :) I'm 41 and I still feel young but it just feels like my body is falling apart!

Glad perimenopause and menopause discussions are being spoken more openly! It's something every women should keep a pulse on starting in their 30s. I noticed a sudden drop in motivationat age 40 so I've put on weight from stopping exercise completely. Cannot for the life of me get back on the horse, so to speak. I used to work out 5 days a week. Found Dr. Marie Claire Haver recently, been reading and watching her stuff, and started the Galveston diet. Just 1 week into taking anti-inflammatory supplements and a diet change, and I can see aging reverse and feel my mental health improve.

I'm so glad I found found these videos to help explain what I already figured is going on with me. I just started taking black cohosh to help regulate hot flashes and it seems to help, I hope it will help with the night sweats so I can sleep better, its crazy I don't feel old enough to go through this but my body reminds me every day that it's getting older lol.

My gynecologist told me I was going to have a mental breakdown. I was like, no shi$, Sherlock. It's horrible! Mood swings (out of control), anxiety with shortness of breath, night sweats, brain fog, feeling absolutely crazy because I couldn't string a sentence together and feel like I'm in slow motion. I feel like I am in a trance sometimes just staring out into space. Bleeding for days on end. I am also constantly overwhelmed by the smallest things. A hair on the floor, dishes that need unloaded out of the dishwasher can send me into a crying spell with the mindset that I just can't do it, it feels like too much all at once.

I don't know. She needs to know that she's not going insane and that you aren't going to abandon her. That's sweet to mention she's your best friend. Maybe give her a card saying something to the effect of, "You're my best friend. I believe in you and hope you have a beautiful day!" Don't say ANYTHING like, "I love you even though you are always moody." In fact, I wouldn't even let her know you can tell she's struggling. May the only thing she thinks is, "This man thinks I'm queen of the world and that we are a perfect fit!" Once her self esteem has been boosted long enough, she might soften up and share her heart with you and lay it all out.

    Hot flashes
    Cold flashes
    Lower back ache
    Neck ache
    Nausea after eating
Electric shocks in head followed by hot flash
    Night sweats
    Insomnia
    Heartburn
    Vertigo (this one is bad)
    Burping

If you’re in midlife and you feel your life is crashing all around you -that is perimenopause. Free fall, ready to abandon your career, marriage and children-that is perimenopause. Night sweats, hot flashes, forgetting things are the obvious ones but really it’s a lot more and can be utterly debilitating. HRT works. Your doctor will probably try antidepressants or anti anxiety meds but that is not the answer if your hormones are low or simply gone. “Dressing in layers” is utter baloney by the way. HRT ensures the hormones you need are replaced so you can return to a normal balance and it works. It also prevents serious health issues as you age. Being without hormones isn’t necessary or normal for people who far outlive their reproductive years.

Unfortunately many younger women and lower income women are not getting treated with sensitivity. They are either too young , something else is going on,or it's just stress. And believe me one problem exacerbates the other and it's a never ending cycle. You can have all the symptoms but if the hormones aren't off the charts it's ok. We need to get real serious about women's real health issues because women are taking care of their children! Children are our future. Thank you.

By me reading some of the comments on here some of you need to get checked for fibroids. You might have them if you are in your 30s or even 40s. Get an MRI its the best thing to do to see if you have fibroids or most of you are hitting premenopause. FIBROIDS are not talked about very often.

I eat all natural foods at home. Like fresh fruits and vegetables, plain yogurt, plain Greek yogurt, unsalted nuts, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cilantro, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, cardamom, cinnamon, basil, turmeric, chick peas, kidney beans, black beans, black eye peas, tofu, tempeh, edamame, spinach, kale, water, coconut water, herbal teas, etc.. The problem is, when you go out to eat, you won't get all these foods.. You'll get unhealthy food.. So, you've got to be really choosy. I try getting as much sleep as possible. Some days are better than others. Exercise??? Same thing. It depends on my energy levels. You see, I have chronic pain issues. I am a hydrocephalus patient and I also have spasticity in my legs. So, I can't do strenuous exerciseing. Each of us is different.

I felt like I'm busy losing my mind on the 1st of January this year. I've been suffering from depression, anxiety and ptsd since after the birth of my son, but I had the worst anxiety/ panic attacks on New Years day.
It was the longest day, because I stopped using my anti anxiety meds, but yoooh I almost committed suicide.
I couldn't sleep, eat, i just drank tons of water and kept busy, until I couldnt stand on my feet again.
I thought I will definitely end up in a psych ward, but God helped me and the next day i called my psychiatrist to write me script for my anxiety.
I'm much better, hot flashes is also less, i just suffer from extreme fatigue because I don't get into a deep sleep.

Got my biopsy done and tests were clear it was really small fibroid

I came here to find out if this is normal. I started normal period bleeding for a day, then last night at around 4 am woke up with horrific cramping. I use a menstrual cup that before last month had completely taken away all cramps for years. It was great. Then last month even though I was using it, it was still a bit painful. I had it in yesterday and last night when the cramping woke me up. I got up to go to the bathroom and take some Ibuprofen. I checked it and not a single drop of blood to be seen at all. As bad as the cramps were I expected there to be at least some. Still today no blood but cramping is bad. I am still taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen to help with the constant cramps. 😢

      @r8chlletters 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Testosterone solves this and increases muscle building and confidence. The increased libido helps but that’s not why I take it. What’s amazing is it’s not yet given to women as part of a full triad (E/P/T) though all are important to achieving full HRT that mirrors what we would normally have. It’s not FDA approved for women yet but any compounding pharmacy can craft it at the right concentration for women, which is minimal and applied as a daily cream. You need to see a specialist of course and indicate you have an inability to achieve orgasm (“sexual dysfunction”). You’ll have an annual blood draw demonstrating your total testosterone. The levels given to women are so low it’s a mere fraction of what men have but they have to do a draw to ensure it’s at an acceptable range which is pretty wide. I highly recommend testosterone, it works well and makes a huge difference in reducing anxiety and increasing confidence. We wonder why there are so few women in powerful positions in later life-but having gone through menopause and seeing the landscape of health care and how they have neglected women at this stage of life it makes perfect sense to me!

I’m 36 & experiencing peri. It’s been going on for a number of years… It’s horribly debilitating. Especially for those experiencing it early on when we have little ones running around and are trying to work/raise a family. Husbands just don’t understand and it isn’t talked about enough. It took me a solid 5 years and 12 doctors to figure out what was happening with my body. We need more awareness and better support in women’s health.

Please look for Menopearl. Those are natural pills that helped me in all this nightmare. I am 42 now and i had and still have the full version of symptoms. The most of everything i tryed is Menopearl . Before i found these supplements i even had 2 sessions of laser procedures for vaginal rejuvenation with Fotona Laser , which helps the collagen and hialuronic acid sinteze. I am so lucky that my gynecologist is a very very well trained doctor willing to help and knowledgeable in this so difficult spectrum. I live in Romania , we have many many plants based traditions here and a huge natural shop and that is something that helps me avoid the hormonal substitute which I do not agree with due to so many side effects. Please feel free to ask me anything you need maybe i can help you telling about herbs and natural remedies for your so uncomfortable moments you have now. And anyone who can read me , girls please try Acupuncture!!! That’s working absolutely magical for every single peri symptom! Go search for a good acupuncturist who knows what he/she is doing and you will get your life back🙏 that is what i did🤩 God bless us all🙏

I am not sure, I am 41 with regular cycles. I just dont know what to look for other then that. And I do have a high stress job. So I mean sleep disturbance is the name of the game for me. I do yoga to help me put work aside.. and it helps. I just want to be prepared for that time of my life. So already supplementing with collagen, multivitamins, vitamin e, d. My mother was menopausal at 40, so I guess it is not far away from me now.

Okay I'm getting very upset reading some of these comments saying about menopause and God is doing this, so am I to understand that God punishes women with all this menopause illness and discomfort? For what reason or purpose? If God wants to punish women then why were women created? To suffer? You can keep your judeo-christian god who punishes women with menopause and any other god that you think is doing it because the whole thought process is disgusting. Keep your "Eve's Curse" too. Sounds like religion is gaslighting women everywhere. ☮️

@sasha48189 I'm so sorry to hear! My mum has fibroids too so I'm wondering if my symptoms are related to the same. This cycle my period was a week early and 2 days shorter than normal plus I've had brown spotting before and after my period. Like WHAT?! @sasha48189 I'm 42. May I ask how they found the abnormal cells? I had a pelvic exam done and waiting for a vaginal ultrasound. Medical technology is so advanced now it's incredible what they can do! There are so many different procedures that are so mainstream now that women can get to help us. I understand the fear though! This irregularity has been seriously stressing me out. Can I ask what your symptoms have been?

Idk. My left part of my body feels tingly. I'm assuming I have nerve problems. Or I'm just really fat now. Idk enough about cold flashes. But it's like a short moment. And around my shoulders. So I'm assuming it's not a normal thing. And fr, a possible spiritual thing. Bc I def don't get them all the time. Or I never get em

Sufficient vitamins supplements can reduce those symptoms to none. And also believe in God and always have a cheerful thankful attitude is good for peri menopause.
