Exactly 16 days today and I got my smile back! I've been watching your videos about Bell's palsy and it really help me. It's true that it can cause stress and depression in the 1st week but please give yourself a lot of positivity because too much stress can make your condition worst. Just be calm and pray to God with the help of this videos.
Thanks God I am fully recovered in just 16 days. I'm thankful that I watch this video.

I was first diagnosed with bells palsy in January of 2018. It took over a year to recover and I had sykinesis.( I know spelling) I had a full relapse a couple days ago. There were a few differences I made this time. First I went to the doc first thing the next morning so I was put on meds within 18 hours. Instead of 3 days. This time I had tons of pain when it started and it happened faster. I'm kind hopeing I was given a second chance to get my face back right this time.

And to all who are experiencing Bell's... a piece of advice, don't stress out, yes i know it's frustrating and scary but dont be so hard on yourself. You'll recover sooner than you thought. take care of your emotional and mental state too. Take a lot of sleep, help and motivate yourself. Just like I did. And most of all, pray and trust God that He will heal you. 😊

    Got it Friday, 5/24. It’s now 5/28 .
1st Sign midday, My tongue felt like when you burned it with something hot. Didn’t think nothing of it then
2nd sign happened at night was getting ready for bed and noticed one eyelid was closing faster than the other. Thought maybe it’s swollen due to allergy season.
3rd sign about a minute later I was gonna shave so I did the lip nose stretch thing and noticed my right lip go to the right more than usual.
4th and final sign before being rushed to the hospital. Signs 2-4 all within 1 minute or 2. I notice my dimple was gone.

Got BP when I was 8 and was taken to a hospital in the middle of nowhere… they knew nothing. Told me to keep exercising my muscles to gain control back… they scared and stressed me out so bad.
It lasted over a year and I have synkinesis lingering. Can’t smile completely normal, when I blink my mouth moves and several other things as well. I always wondered if I had done something wrong and that’s why I didn’t recover properly. Now I know why, but at least I know it wasn’t necessarily my fault, the doctors misinformed my family and I.

My husband is going on about 7 weeks and he's done everything wrong, apparently. Doctor prescribed antiviral and eye drops and steroids, but not mych change. Left half of face is still very droopy. This is the third time in his life having it. First time was right before marching band state competition in high school and he had to teach himself how to play tuba with only half his face working. He won 2nd place, though. :-/

Symptoms 5/24. Update 5/29. I have been getting tingling on my affected side. I noticed I’m able to close my eye about half ways. Can move my cheek slightly every small amount is a plus. I’m very excited.

Hi my son got bells palsy after a dental procedure. He's only 4 years old. All they gave him is steroids. This is day 5 not much of improvement. Should I be having him take it easy? Any tips would help . Thank you.

Hi. I’m on day 8. I can partially move my left cheek and my eyelid closed about 75%. I’ve been doing a hot towel to my face for about 2 mins at night. Also using a face roller massager after the towel. Then I tape my face like she shows in this video. I’ve notice my face gets tingly and after I regain some movement slight movement.
Goggles for showers is a must.

Wish I would of watched this video when I first got diagnosed . I made all 3 mistakes and now I have synkinesis. By 3rd month I was recovered from BP but that’s when I noticed my eye was smaller than usual and when smiling it’s almost a squint . When I yawn or laugh too hard that side of my face i have no control over .

Very good video. I'm having a 2nd BP episode after 10 years. Its not as severe but still uncomfortable. I'm hoping it passes soon so I can lose the dull pain and metallic taste in my mouth. Taping does help.

How long you keep the tape

    • @bonnieadams9992
      @bonnieadams9992 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I leave the tape on for a few hours. It supports my cheek and muscles around my eye for much temporary relief. The tape goes up to my hairline and doesn't always stick well. Make sure face is clean of oil or lotions.

I was diagnosed in 2020- took about a year to clear up and I only have approximately 80 percent movement now. Only noticeable to people if they focus on it but occasionally spill while drinking/can’t blow up a balloon etc.
Wish I found this video at the onset of symptoms. I did just about EVERYTHING wrong.
