Im on my 2nd week of Bell's and i am almost recovered..I can smile, lift my brows, flare my nose, and talk straight. All your videos helps alot, the medication, and also going to PT..
And to all who are experiencing Bell's... a piece of advice, don't stress out, yes i know it's frustrating and scary but dont be so hard on yourself. You'll recover sooner than you thought. take care of your emotional and mental state too. Take a lot of sleep, help and motivate yourself. Just like I did. And most of all, pray and trust God that He will heal you. 😊

Exactly 16 days today and I got my smile back! I've been watching your videos about Bell's palsy and it really help me. It's true that it can cause stress and depression in the 1st week but please give yourself a lot of positivity because too much stress can make your condition worst. Just be calm and pray to God with the help of this videos.
Thanks God I am fully recovered in just 16 days. I'm thankful that I watch this video.

I was first diagnosed with bells palsy in January of 2018. It took over a year to recover and I had sykinesis.( I know spelling) I had a full relapse a couple days ago. There were a few differences I made this time. First I went to the doc first thing the next morning so I was put on meds within 18 hours. Instead of 3 days. This time I had tons of pain when it started and it happened faster. I'm kind hopeing I was given a second chance to get my face back right this time.

I wore sunglasses during the day and covered my eye at night. I did use an eye wash to help me with the dryness and irritation. Use goggles in the shower.

My husband is going on about 7 weeks and he's done everything wrong, apparently. Doctor prescribed antiviral and eye drops and steroids, but not mych change. Left half of face is still very droopy. This is the third time in his life having it. First time was right before marching band state competition in high school and he had to teach himself how to play tuba with only half his face working. He won 2nd place, though. :-/

Got BP when I was 8 and was taken to a hospital in the middle of nowhere… they knew nothing. Told me to keep exercising my muscles to gain control back… they scared and stressed me out so bad.
It lasted over a year and I have synkinesis lingering. Can’t smile completely normal, when I blink my mouth moves and several other things as well. I always wondered if I had done something wrong and that’s why I didn’t recover properly. Now I know why, but at least I know it wasn’t necessarily my fault, the doctors misinformed my family and I.

    Got it Friday, 5/24. It’s now 5/28 .
1st Sign midday, My tongue felt like when you burned it with something hot. Didn’t think nothing of it then
2nd sign happened at night was getting ready for bed and noticed one eyelid was closing faster than the other. Thought maybe it’s swollen due to allergy season.
3rd sign about a minute later I was gonna shave so I did the lip nose stretch thing and noticed my left lip not more as much.
4th and final sign before being rushed to the hospital. Signs 2-4 all within 1 minute or 2. I notice my dimple was gone.

Hello Haalo Dr. Meghana Dave...sorry I did not know your name earlier in the video about Bell's Palsy and so did not mention it.
Level of damage - how would one determine that? based on the set of Signs and symtoms?
I started with numbness of mouth orifice and numbness of lips and surroundings. Then when I went to gargle, RT side did not puff and the water just dribbled out. Finally git checked out at ER and CT Head determined that Stroke was ruled out. While I eat, RT side cheek does gets filled with food and does not advance. I have to depend on LT side. My RT eyelid feesl heavy. Lifting both eyebrows only lifts LT side, while RT eyebrow remains where it stays. The nose deviates to LT side while try to smile. Tongue RT half does not have taste sensation. I am suspicious that my RT TMJ is out of whack and that has been the precursor to this inflammation at the StyloMastoid Foramen on RT side. I am thinking of TMJ adjustment by chiropracter in which they ask the patient to lay supine wo pillow and the DOC stanbds over the head, places his RT thumb on pt's RT TMJ and asks patient to turn head to the LT while asking him to open the mouth at which point the chiropractor gets to find out at what level the TMJ is - C3-C7. Then patient is asked to open the mouth completely so that the chiropractor gets to find out the locking of the jaw at which point the doc gives the TMJ a jerk on the other or unaffected side.
I am scared of Sinkinesis and it would destroy my life.
Guide me Dr. Dave, I will try to Whatsapp you on the number you have posted.
    Thanks a lot.
