  • I’m visiting the famous Spanish Riding School but will I even be able to get in? And what’s the deal with the bathroom situation?
A steep, unstable ramp and a bathroom key hidden at the cash desk… let’s check this out!

The thing you think is the stables is a horse walker, the stables are on the other side of the road, you can tour them, the floor is level if I remember rightly but I think there where some cobbles
The ramp issue might be to do with whatever the Austrian views are on listed buildings.

Prices change depending on the time of year. It’s winter and freezing right now so less tourists. I was told by someone working there that the tickets are up to just under €400.

@ I checked around a bit and can indeed find more expensive tickets like €155. Paying 400 would be insane! I hope you got a better price, especially since you had to look at a bald head for most of the show :(

I had checked because it looked cool and was interested in saving this for a future trip until I heard the price 😂

You can go to the practice sessions in the morning for super reasonable. We went this past December (2024) for under $30 each.

Yeah…I have one of those heavy power wheelchairs and would personally not use a ramp that steep, especially given it’s not bolted to the ground. My particular wheelchair model doesn’t have caster wheels either so I’d be terrified of my chair tipping over. If it’s a temporary ramp anyways, I wonder why they don’t have one that’s a bit longer and less steep?
