I apologize this video is in Mono (left channel only), My headphones were not working so I couldn't tell with the desktop speakers. When only recording with one DJI transmitter it records mono, when you import it into your editing software audio needs to be cloned to the other channel, I forgot this step.
Not what I expected haha but Thanks for the content. What I was looking for is for a way of putting the transmitter with the drone and have the drone record with dji mic audio directly in the drone footage so we dont have to go through the sync proccess. Any ideas?
Unfortunately the only other way I know of still requires syncing. If you are using an RC Pro you can do a screen recording and it will record audio from an external microphone (make sure you have it turned on in settings). You will still have to sync it with the recorded footage on the drone though. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to have audio recorded directly on the drone footage.
Yes, a few different ways: 1. you can use the 2nd transmitter and boost the gain on that transmitter. 2. Increase the gain on the transmitter then enable the safety track, this will record on one channel the regular audio then the safety track will be -6dB on the other channel 3. Use the receiver on a camera, you can record the audio onto the video with transmitter gain turned up and receiver gain turned up.
@@AerialPixel thanks assuming I'm using one transmitter. The volume seems kind of high on the live transmission. I was just wondering if there's a way to crank up the volume on the record version only?
Change the transmitter gain on the receiver and it saves it when doing the internal recording without the receiver. The internal recording on the transmitters is extremely low. I have may transmitter gain at +8dB and then still have to boost it more in post. This is my biggest complaint on the DJI Mic system.
@@AerialPixel I am right there with you. The internal recording level is way too low even with transmitter turned up. Since it is recording internally and not transmitting it seems to make no difference to internal level. I haven't found anyone else mention it till now.
I use Davinci Resolve Studio 18, they have a free version here (just called Davinci Resolve 18): www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve The free version can do everything shown in the tutorial.
@@AerialPixel Thanks, that's the same controller I have (RC Pro) but I haven't got an external mic to work properly. Are you recording the audio into the RC Pro using screen capture ? Or are you recording in an external device and then syncronizing later ?
Unfortunately 2 transmitters is the Max the system supports, if you want more you have to add an additional receiver. You can add two wired microphones to one transmitter though using a "Y" adapter like this: amzn.to/3IIqrXZ
I have a better idea of syncing it. Record cache video directly to your phone. The cache video will have audio coming from the phone that you're using to monitor the video. Do 3 claps and line up the peaks. Then replace the cached video with the full-res video on the drone for full quality.

This was the best tut on syncing the DJI mic and drone together. Thank you sir!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video thanks 👍🏻
This is great . Thank you
very nice. great idea
Good video. Thx
Brilliant tutorial thank you for posting.
This is really good info thank you
Nice video😉, liked & subscribed, thanks for sharing ‼️
That sounds really good

Is there a way to have the back up recording record with more volume? Also is there a way to record a backup automatically?

Where did you connect the dji receiver?
The receiver is not used. You record internationally on the transmitter.
Hey sir can not get mic to work with my controler and my mavic three classic
The mic has no connection to the controller or the drone, it runs independently. Please watch the video again, this is explained in detail.
What the link for the software for editing audio into video

Hi, Does this work with Mavic Air 2s?
Yes, this method works with any drone.
Thanks for the video. What controller are you using ? The DJI RC Pro or the DJI Smart Controller ?
It's the RC Pro. Unfortunately the original Smart Controller isn't compatible with the Mavic 3.
@@AerialPixel Thanks, that's the same controller I have (RC Pro) but I haven't got an external mic to work properly. Are you recording the audio into the RC Pro using screen capture ? Or are you recording in an external device and then syncronizing later ?
It's all done on the new DJI Mic system.
Anyone know if it’s possible to add a 3rd mic?

Great tip!
Can you put the mic on the Drone itself
You could but you would just get prop and wind noise.
with dji mac 3 pro it's almost impossible , it has a loud sound
Fly further away and use the zoom lens. You can then filter out any remaining noise in post.
@@AerialPixel thank u... i will try to see once agaim your video
