Hi Joyful cook thanks a lot for upgrading so many minds here, I have a question, I'm into the cooking business and I base in Dubai, how many vegetables will I use if I want to get more than 20 plates and as well retain the rich taste in the soup, thank you
Tried this and it was beautiful..despite London having majority of our naija vegetables I really loved this version. E sweet us die! Thanks for sharing this with us 😊
Thanks alot for this video. I live in the US and I have missed vegetable soup for a while now. I'm about to try this and you just got a brand new subscriber.
God bless you sis ☺️ I’m not only excited for this video but so excited to watch all your videos, considering you’re in the diaspora and this is exactly the type of channel I was looking for! 😭 Being able to cook authentic delicious Nigerian soups in diaspora and knowing what the replacements of certain items/vegetables are. Thank youu so much! I am very excited 🥹🥰 A video idea you can do to also boost your channel in search is “HOW TO COOK NIGERIAN SOUPS ABROAD/IN DIASPORA” ☺️ God bless sis 💃🏽
Thank you for teaching me how to cook!❤ Your channel has helped me a lot❤❤❤ This vegetable soup looks yummy 😋 and nose blinding ❤❤❤Lots of love from the UK 🇬🇧
This video was two years ago nevertheless I enjoy your instructions. The step by step helps me to organize before starting the process. Thank you for putting the grocery list and all the ingredients before starting. I know that measurements is not used much in cooking 😃👍. My grandma never measured she always pinched and dashed 😃😃 I can't wait to try this recipe. God bless.
Nne you finish work here oo, the prepping of the ingredients especially the vegetables you really took your time in prepareing this Vegetable soup and it turned out so yummy 😋
I love the way you washed the collard greens never used it, have always used spinach and kale. I will get it and try washing it like so. This is so yumm.
Omg, I love the way you cooked your vegetables soup. Look so delicious😋. Just want to dive into my screen eat all up. The portion size is for a family of 4?
Hello. Your recipe is wonderful. I know I am late, but I tried cooking this soup with kale, but the kale was too hard, even after boiling it for 10 min. Maybe I did something wrong
Sister Ngo. Nice cooking. Soup making video no de sawa even though na 2020 this groove happen! Meanwhile, e go make sense to cut down on the salt and Oil overall shaoooo.
Thank you so much for this recipe! Lovely! Just curious: is it possible to preserve these veggies in the freezer after washing them via the process you shared in this video?
I normally get the snails from an African store oh. Ng will blanching the collard green make it softer? I'll try that . Another reason why I wash it is to reduce the potency. It has a very strong smell
Honestly some recipes can really swallow spit, ,making your mouth feel so dried. My favorite part is that snails. ..I love love snails. .this is really a large portion of soup..I have never tried collard green on my veggies
With this kind of soup in my house I don't mind swallowing for breakfast. .nice and appetizing my beautiful sis. .oya start making semolina am close to CVS in your area
When I first saw the collards green, I was like aunty “ I know what that soup will taste like 😂” I am definitely going to try the washing it method. The flavor of the collard green is unbearable in a soup. Thanks for sharing
This recipe looks amazing and no doubt it taste amazing too.... But i have a question.. Doesn't all this washing with hot water and squeezing take out or reduce the nutrients in the vegetables? I mean it's a vegetable soup specifically for its nutritional benefits. But what happens when we've washed it all out already?
Yes oh, Aunty Flo is my big aunty here on TH-cam oh. I've been eyeing kale, now I know what I can do with it. Thanks a bunch for this video. New subscriber here...
Anyway it depends on the type of vegetables you are using, because Ugu can't be washed like this, so as not to eradicate all the vitamins and nutrients it contains.
I hate the taste of kale, collard green is substituted with Silvabeet, I 'll definitely try the blanching of spinach too. Permission to share this video, it's an A+

Collard greens is really strong I normally blanched it.
Ngoo nkea bu ofe ndi nwere Ego
See snail 🐌,where did you get it from
I normally get the snails from an African store oh. Ng will blanching the collard green make it softer? I'll try that . Another reason why I wash it is to reduce the potency. It has a very strong smell
The Joyful Cook yes the blanching make it softer and immediately I add it inside the pot I don’t cook it more than a minute.
Wow! This looks so so inviting 😋😋. Biko invite me over now 🙏🏾😁😋
Come come. Let's paint thos place red. Thank you sis😘
Honestly some recipes can really swallow spit, ,making your mouth feel so dried.

When I first saw the collards green, I was like aunty “ I know what that soup will taste like 😂” I am definitely going to try the washing it method. The flavor of the collard green is unbearable in a soup. Thanks for sharing
Is it bitter?
@@ayolaura7429 no. Can’t really describe, just have to try it
Mami I just subscribed to your TH-cam channel am following on Facebook you just too good
I find kale a bit bitter when cooked, any tips to deal with this?
Don't eat without me. It looks so good
Come, come, let devour it together. 😊❤
Was about asking the same question. May be for kale it's usually hard and need to be soften with hot water but spinach
If you don't do it like that, the veggies will have a very bitter taste
Yummy 😋
Please is there another name for collard green . I could not get it to buy in the u. K
Please is blanching the leaves healthy? Like, it doesn't kill the nutrients in the leaves?
I feel it does eliminates the vitamins on the vegetables
Yes oh, Aunty Flo is my big aunty here on TH-cam oh. I've been eyeing kale, now I know what I can do with it. Thanks a bunch for this video. New subscriber here...
What leaf can I use in place of ugwu leaf in UK please?
Spinach
You washed half the nutrients of the collard greens down the sink?!
This is my fav new cookies bake hope you come around my kitchen
Anyway it depends on the type of vegetables you are using, because Ugu can't be washed like this, so as not to eradicate all the vitamins and nutrients it contains.
Can I use spinach?
Absolutely! You can use only spinach if you want.
The Joyful Cook thank you for replying to my kinda dumb question 🙈🙈
No it's not dumb. You probably needed clarification
I hate the taste of kale, collard green is substituted with Silvabeet, I 'll definitely try the blanching of spinach too. Permission to share this video, it's an A+
Permission ke??? Please Share! thank you.❤❤
Why are you turning the raw meat in the pot as though they are going to break.
how can i get your type of palm oil in US. the one i have here is a disgrace to its name
The oil is kinda too much oo
I thought it was a vegetable soup-
Kate and collard greens are no no. Too hard.
