You were able to figure out a very complex drivability problem with some common sense, a quality bi-directional scan tool and the Internet. Hats off to you sir 🧢
Good video. Mines acting up today again. After previous issues last year of cutting off while driving and sometimes crank no start. At that time changed battery fusible link, battery cables and battery. Worked fine for a year and then it cut out on me again a few months ago while driving. Pain to start. Went away. Then happened again two weeks later. Changed crankshaft position sensor. Been running nice for a month. And today ran errands, got home went to start nothing. No crank, no start. Only key/arm indicator. Full battery power but no power to crank. Some things show power at fuse box and work like Brake lights, flashers. But all other things disabled. Tried disconnecting battery, ipdm test(fail)and relearn fob(work) but still no change. Tomorrow I'm pulling my ipdm to see if its like yours👍
It all began when my 2011 Frontier wouldn't start, like I had a dead battery. But I had radio headlight windshield wiper etc😮 So I tried again and the engine was turning over strong, but the engine wouldn't start. I ran through the gears, tried again and it started right up like it should. My first thought was the starter relay and/or starter. I replaced both. Within a week, the ABS and traction control lights all came on, but the truck drove fine😕 Then they magically turned off, and my airbag light started flashing . I would reset it and with 60 mile it would go off again😠 After that happened 3 times, I replaced the clock spring and that SEEMS to have solved that issue...I hope. Then today, it did the no start thing again and then started like it should. After doing some searches for fuel filter and a fuel pump relay( no such animals in the 2011) I learned about the IPDM. But watching your video and mentioning the TPS, that does sound a LOT like what's happening with my Frontier
Everything worked out great. Was right with my assumption truck is running perfectly sorry about the long time to reply for some reason I did not even see this

Thanks so much for posting this, I have similar issues on a 2006. Please post a follow up when you have a chance.
Nice. Looks like the IPDM is still the cause for many problems even after the recall.
Can you share the link for the new board please , I think my truck is having the same issue

Was the IPDM your issue?
Nope battery fusible link every time.
Question when you w
Swapped the ipdm module board you didn't need to program is correct its basically just a relay circuit block yes??

Where can I buy this scanner for getting the problem codes?
Thanks this was very helpful
Does the IPDM needs coding or software programming
Did you leave your vice grips in there lol
What ended up happening?
How can I get the contact

Does the Ipdm have to be coded having this same problem would love to just order a new one and get running again
Where's video 3. left me hanging
Thank so much
