Orr's Island, Maine shoreline. Beautiful large rocks formations. 11"x15"
Working on Watercolor paintings using affordable materials. I like to avoid using any paint pigments that has white paint in it and sometime this may make your painting looks muddy. Mixing large amount of colors in the tray make it easier to use without running out of paints that you may have difficult time to match the earlier paint. For lighter colors I just adding more water that help keep your painting looks transparent. Not muddy paints pigment!
I found Yarka Semi Moist paints are easy to use and Canson XL paper can easily remove paints out if you have to fix something. Make sure you dampen the back of paper with wet sponge or wet brushes before taping.

Just beautiful. I have never been successful using a fan brush, but I will try again now having seen your use of it.
I found if I dab a paint and use dry fan brushe. Make sure it dry so it will give you finer brushe strokes.
