Ahhh, I love making this video and chatting about planners every year!!! Grab a cup and come hang out for a bit. Tell me in the comments what you're using this year! One planner? A stack? Keeping it the same or changing things up? I can't wait to chat!
I'm a huge fan of horizontal exp weeks. I alter a w222 a6 to be half horizontal and then the rest as memo space for tasks. 2026 I may go aura Estelle a6 horizontal. I'm testing another weeks vs the w222 to see what vibes best as a daily driver
Bloom daily planner, got the ultimate undated and put the dates in. This was before the full year 2025 planners were out, they only had academic year out when I got the undated planner. But the to do list page is for the week so I'm getting an 2025 Happy planner and will clip those pages in the Bloom planner and use the rings to make a reading journal and any other journal tracking thing I want in there. I will be creating covers and dashboards to change seasonally or when I feel like an aesthetic change, you inspired me lol! Totally understand why you're choosing not to do that in 2025 or at least not the first half. The Happy planner will become a reading journal. The ultimate Bloom undated has changeable covers so I might make my own but mostly going to focus on the aesthetics of the Happy planner journal.
@susanmcquaig2927 there are some cute free printables the site printabulls has monthly calendar and other sites have planner printables. Hope this helps.
🌻💮🌺🌼🌷🌸 Wasn't sure which flower emoji you meant, so I have them all LOL I always use 3-4 planners every year. I am keeping everything mostly same. I have a large monthly/weekly planner that will carry my personal (events, billing, birthdays, etc) planning through 2025. I have 2 smaller monthly calendars in my purse and wallet that I use to make note of outings when friends want to get together, and I transfer them to my big planner. I have another small monthly that keeps track of writing goals and word counts, writing challenges; and I'm pairing it with a gorgeous 2025 dated monthly/weekly planner I found in Burlington, for more writing goals but more space to write additional writer things (publishing dreams, goals, hopes...). However, Mandi Lynn recently released her 2025 writing planner and I very much want to add that to my line-up, not just because I WANT IT (its so adorably pretty inside), but I want to support her business. ♥
I've been using that exact Laurel Denise planner since July. I thought the varying thickness would bother me, but it's been fine. Their paper is so thick it doesn't flex and your pen is supported very well.
This is so good to read because my first ever one was just ordered a couple nights ago and hasn’t arrived yet. I tried using a custom Rocketbook planner, but I think the Dutch doors in the LD planner will help me. I can’t stand when things are on all different pages and I have to flip around. I also tried using a remarkable to plan and my Google calendar. I’m a failure at planning so far,
🥀💕I completely understand with carrying things to your back deck with your tea. It sounds like you found your solution but I wanted to share that I make up a morning bag for myself that has my planners, pens, highlighters all the goodies and sometimes it even holds my laptop if I am going to be doing some work outside. I love the Happy Planner bags for this or any tote really. Something I can carry with one hand with the coffee in the other 😄 Enjoyed the video and all you shared-thank you!
So many planners! If you haven't already thought of it, maybe consider creating 4 of your "frankenplanners", 1 for each quarter. You could still pull out the planners for future quarters if you need to add things to them, but you won't be toting such a chunky book around all the time. Happy planning!
Yes! Sorry I thought I said it in there, but the Frankenplanner will be set up like my HB90 - quarterly with just 3 months at a time! It's still going to be super chunky, though, because of the daily and weekly pages!
As a multi planner girlie, this is my 5th year watching your planner lineup video. Sarra, I just started it and already, the intro was thee best intro yet (& my personal fav)!! Going to grab popcorn and then to watch the rest. 😊💖 Edited to add - I’m using a stack of planners! I have about 20 for 2025. 😊🌷❤
So excited to see you with a Laurel Denise in hand! I have so many of their planners! I have a regular horizontal which admittedly is slightly underutilized. A project planner that I use for my HB90 Kanban board, and my Portrait Planner will be for school. Because I'm going back to school in January, fingers crossed. Then I have a mini horizontal that I'll be using for home stuff, in addition to my HB90. Plus I have a Think Ink bound planner from Walmart that I just use as my daily recap. Honestly I want the Laurel Denise/HB90 collab. It's entirely your fault my horizontal is almost superfluous. I bought my first HB90 in Oct last year and my Laurel Denise didn't start till January. But honestly I love them all.
I use the inserts from Laurel Denise in my Project Planner as the HB90. I do not use the dailies as I time block in an undated standard LD vertical and they work well. I know I will be setting up the planners again shortly. I've already decorated them for 2025.
I would DIE if there was an EC & HB90 collab! C'mon hearties, let's manifest this! My mom is gifting me the Bold Blooms Meeting Notebook for my P&T mastermind group. I figured it was a great gift to ask for since she paid for half of my P&T course this year. 💖
Listen I look forward to this video every year. I am 30 seconds in and adore the way you introduced them all this year. I can't wait to just spend the next hour watching this! I'll be working on my own planners as I do :)
I love this!!! Thank you for sharing! Even *if* it fails, I’m so happy you shared what you’re thinking. I’m cheering for you! I’m using a narrow TN with a monthly, weekly vertical, and a journaling insert. That’s the one staying all year as I hop around using the notebook stash! HB notebook challenge update: I used up a narrow insert, pocket Moleskine, and an EC notebook the past two months! Edit: for my five year, I add pictures to the right side of the page! It chunks it up, but the planner can take it. And no heart or flower because someone else can use the giveaway more than me!
🌸💛 I had just decided to simplify my planning routine, but this video gave me some great ideas. and i will have to change my plans a bit. well done, as always, Sarra
❤ thank you for everything Sarra ! Next year it's going to be my best year ever and I am so motivated, only because I watch you're Videos and follow you on IG. Can't say 'thank you' enough ! :)
I use a laurel Denise project planner for my work social media planning. I really only need monthlies for that. Then I use a medium passion planner weekly Monday start for my EDC. And I use a 13 Moon Journal from Moon Phase Studios for daily journaling. I’m reusing an old Powersheets for goal planning and tracking. I’m excited for the new year!
@ I’ve found that it works well for me as a secondary planner for my work. It definitely wouldn’t work for me as an everyday carry or a home/work planner as it is only monthly. I use it to plan and track my social media across four platforms.
❤🏵️ This is so good. More functional and downsized, i love it. So inspiring! I've never heard of Laurel Denise, but it looks intriguing. And I'm inspired to do a five year or more journal with the whole family as a dinner ritual.❤🏵️
Love this format. It's super helpful to hear you think aloud on how you will use your planners. I'm still ruminating on my new ones and you give me great things to think about.
This videos helped me so much set up and figure out what I want my planner lineup to be this year I’m so excited to tackle this year coming up! Here’s to hoping I’m able to make the hb90 method work well for me! 💗🌸
❤🌻 I'm also finishing my first five year journal. I really enjoy it! I'm starting in a Leuchtturm 5 year journal in 2025. I use undated ones without an empty page. Wishing you all happy holidays!
I’d forgotten about my Kikki K Wallet! Thank you for reminding me - I’ve just bought a Hobinici weeks to go in it for my financials next year too! You’re so inspiring 😊
💞 🌺 I love your planner videos because they always inspire me to keep thinking about what will work best for me and my brain. Keep bringing it please:)
🌻So many beautiful planners! I really like the hobinichi 5 year journal idea and now I know what Im adding to my christmas list lol. Im full of inspo to start setting up my planners now! Blessed be 🙏
Holy cow, go you! That's a lot to do to build a planner that works for you. I couldn't merge a system that might work for me. I'm a bullet journal girlie. I make the spreads I need as I need them. I have three bujos: my daily, Business, and Long-term collections. They are all in A5 or B5 size, so they are easily portable.
🌸💙 I love your videos! I’m an alumni of Publish & Thrive and HB90, and I’ve just signed up for Your Path Forward! I’m so excited! Thank you for all your hard work 🌸💙
as always, your planner prep is so inspiring! I've been listing out how I want to use my planners this year - the one for work is working ... so that will stay the same. But I was gifted a 5 year, so I'm figuring that out ... and I also have my writing, memory keeping, creative journaling ... I think I *almost* have it figured out. 🌺💓
Went with A5 notebooks in a pretty cover. Hoping the blank notebooks will let me use more of a bullet journal style of planning so I can stay flexible with what will serve me best week-to-week. We'll see! Like you, I'm going to try something new and see how it works. ❤ 🌺
Such a big stack, but I like that you're resetting to create less planning time but still track all the things. FYI, not that you need it, but there is a Twines & Paper bound planner that has both horizontal AND vertical weeklies in case you want to try something else for the Sarra Cannon/HB90 system. I have the A6 5 year, and what I do is after I meditate, exercise and pull a tarot card or two (noting it down in my Hobo Cousin), I write up a few sentences in the morning for how I'm feeling. And then I do a few lines in the evening for what I got done or what I did that day. This means that most days, I write over onto the next page. I also capture ephemera - sticker shop cards or other goodies in those pages. My line up is pretty small. I've got another 2025 Cousin for my morning tarot practice, my 5-year, a throw away notebook from the dollar store for morning pages, a journal that I use for deep thoughts, a PaperTessDesigns a6 for my media journal (will cover 3 years in it), and I picked up the Magic of I journal to capture intentions for the day and see how my mood shifts with astrology. I have other notebooks and a Stalogy or two for plotting, character work/journals, and commonplacing. Sheesh, now that I wrote it all out, it's a lot!
Love to hear form someone else that you have a tarot practice! And yeah, I realize I'm like "I'm using less!" and it's still a big stack lol. But it is less... overall :P Thanks for the suggestions!
Love this planner stack Sarra! I use the Laurel Denise Portrait and I love it. It’s my home planner. I am really enjoying it! I am also using the Hello Kitty one for 2025!
🌸🌻🌺 Your planner lineup videos are always my absolute favorite! I’ve been watching them for years and I always get so inspired and excited to set up my own planners 💜🩷 love your planner/productivity content, thanks for what you do!!!!

🌸 ♥ Wow, I used to have a 5yr journal but never sticked with it, kudos that you were able to fill it! I even bought a 7year journal for my kid but I always fall off the bandwagon :(
🌺 💖 I love this video every year! I buy planners without purpose and I love your thought process, thank you for sharing with us. You have given me ideas to use for 2025. 😊
Erin Condren was my gateway planner, and now that they have an A5 size, if they would offer a Monday start monthly view I would not hesitate to return--especially with Sarra's frankenplanner tips and tricks.
🌺♥ Super impressed that you're on your second five year journal. I was considering the Hobonichi five year but then I thought about my track record and decided I'd start with something cheaper and then if I stuck to it I can get a fancy one.
As I literally just found you last year, in Oct of 2023, this is really my first deep dive with you into your planner setup for the New Year. Though you probably did one in Dec of 2023, but I didn't know enough of how you operate to really dive in and pay attention. :) I have watched your monthly notebook challenges most of this year though and I'm always so inspired. I love your creative uses for your notebooks and planners. I have already determined I will re-start my morning meditation and scripting journaling in the coming weeks. I have two weeks off at the end of December to start to get the habit formed. I cannot wait for reflections through the year as you setup and review how your using these journals now. Oh and 🌻💘
Your videos are always so inspiring! It's so nice to hear what worked for you but also what doesn't, it makes me feel less disappointed in myself when I don't follow through with a planner. Thank you for that! 🌻💛
❤🌸 I think I am going to start using more planners! I was using just one, but recently upped it to 2. One for work and one for journaling and personal planning.
Hi Sara, I can wait to watch this. I saw the clip you posted about trying on planner. It was the best thing I did 4 or 5 years ago. Now, I either do a half year or full year planner with the common planner or Papertess Designs. Papertess designs is great for put everything in one planner.
I've got the Hobo 5-year and (when I do use it lol - it's been a struggle for me) I'll either extend the line to the other side, or use the other side to draw pictures or glue in ephemera and photos. Looking forward to how your one planner to rule them all goes! (I'm doing something similar for 2025!)
❤️🌻 Keeping my main system very simple next year. Will use a Niesha Fernando Designs A5 Journey planner as the main planner, a Twines & Paper Weekbook as my everyday carry, and a B6 Stalogy for daily journaling.
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the kislux bag, I believe that as long as you are not a professional, you will never see any difference .
❤🌺 this has been such a joy to watch! Thank you for everything you do- I've just discovered your videos for writing and my mind is blown. I've got big dreams for 2025 and would love to win a planner! (And maybe I'll end up writing a series as successful as yours...who knows?!)
I was gonna say. When I saw all of those planners, I couldn’t imagine how you could manage all that in those different locations and still run two businesses and have a family. I have a family and yoga business and I have a hard enough time just finding time for me to get into one planner. I don’t know how you would have time to do that.
I am really enjoying seeing your process! I've just been getting into actually using my planner this past year and i love being able to look back and track where I was and how far I've come. Love that you're sharing this!! 🌸🌸💗💗
I have the Hobonichi Techno Cousin for the new year, plus a Plum Paper Planner A5 Weekly Planner, AND a Hobo weeks in grey. I plan on using the Cousin for my daily life, journaling, book reading and reviews and general life and scheduling my day stuff. The Hobo Weeks I am going to use for my nutrition and workout tracking (I need to get better at that this year). The Plum Paper I am not sure exactly yet. I think I might use it as a running work to-do list area, but I don't like being spread out in too many planners because then I feel disorganized and get less done. I really think the Hobo Techno Cousin is going to be perfect for me this year with the 3 different formats all in one book (monthly, weekly, daily). I am excited to use it! OH...and that doesn't include my LEUCHTTURM1917 writer's notebook. It it not a yearly thing though. I just get a new one anytime I fill the previous one up. I use it for jotting down writing ideas, plot stuff, or general things I come across that I'd like to remember and go back to for writing.
LOVE these long planner videos. I am trying out a B5 and A5 - the B5 from Sterling Ink is enough room where I can include everything including my tarot pulls. I am trying to use less too to focus more on what I need to. The A5 is from Wonderland 222 with the original Tomoe paper. They have a lot of room for everything so I am duplicating everything for now until I decide in Jan.
This was truly inspiring. I now have so many new ideas for planning my next year. The 5-year planner is definitely on my must-buy list before the end of 2024. 💖🌸
I’m using the Sterling Ink monthly planner as a marketing planner so I can keep track of which promotions I’m running when so I don’t get behind in marketing efforts, and it’s working for me so well so far!
Loved this video, so this year I went full on hobonichi, and have three weeks (one for each of my hb90 goals), I have my cousin for memory keeping and general planning. An a6 for tracking my to dos. 2 5 year journals, one for each of my kiddos. I think i’m gonna use the tracking on the weeks to track expenses, I love that idea! I have a few notebooks i was gonna use (bullet journal style) for finances, but I feel like I don’t have time to spend making all the layouts now. I may get a fourth weeklies for my financial tracker or maybe a similar notebook. 🤔
Yes, it really is! I think it's key to figure out what works for you! I am still trying to find the exact right balance to maintain them all. Maybe this year!
💖 The Hobanichi 5 year planner is such a cool idea, I keep forgetting about it, but every time I see yours it reminds me that I want one. Some day maybe I will remember to get one :)
ohh I can't wait to see how the coil hole punch works! I love the flexibility of a happy planner but really can't work with discs, I would love love to be able to print and coil the HB90 planner
I love watching you put together all you're planners. I'm excited to see how they turn out for you! ❤🌻 I bought some of the 50th hello kitty products for my sister, because she loves HK. So I'm glad I could see the cover here. love you!
Have you ever tried a faux leather snap in cover for your Happy Planner? It gives the hard cover feel, but you can still flip it fully in half to use. 🌸
Keeping things the same this year: EC hourly, Aura Estelle B6 daily and my 3rd year in my 5 year Hobonichi. I also have about 8 notebooks going, each with a purpose such as reading, gardening, camping, travel, etc.
For the 5-year hobonichi, I am in my second year of using it. I got it after seeing one of your videos over two years ago. My plan is to use the extra page to add more years and make it a 8 or 9 year planner. That way more of my thoughts are condensed in one place instead of a new planner. if you haven't yet filled out those pages at all, that could be doable. if you have already been filling some of those pages out, then it won't work
Ahhh, I love making this video and chatting about planners every year!!! Grab a cup and come hang out for a bit. Tell me in the comments what you're using this year! One planner? A stack? Keeping it the same or changing things up? I can't wait to chat!

Bloom daily planner, got the ultimate undated and put the dates in. This was before the full year 2025 planners were out, they only had
academic year out when I got the undated planner.
I can’’t afford planners this year. But if I could get anything it would that be hello kitty! That’s a beauty
@susanmcquaig2927 there are some cute free printables the site printabulls has monthly calendar and other sites have planner printables. Hope this helps.

@@HeartBreathings You may have said and I just missed it.
I love how you started by asking what you needed your planners to do for you and went from there 😊 📚
As a multi planner girlie, this is my 5th year watching your planner lineup video. Sarra, I just started it and already, the intro was thee best intro yet (& my personal fav)!! Going to grab popcorn and then to watch the rest. 😊💖

OOh, love to hear this!!! Yay for multiple planners!
I have wanted a 5-year journal for awhile now. The Laurel Denise planner looks great! I love the Dutch door layout🌷💜
The screech that left me when I saw this video came into my inbox. I may have scared my toddler.
😂🙌
💐Thank you. You have really given me a lot of good ideas for my planner. Love that 5 year journal. That Erin Condren Bloom looks beautiful.

HB notebook challenge update:
I used up a narrow insert, pocket Moleskine, and an EC notebook the past two months!
Edit: for my five year, I add pictures to the right side of the page! It chunks it up, but the planner can take it.
And no heart or flower because someone else can use the giveaway more than me!
I sat and journaled and set up my planners for the day whilst I watched you, it was like spending an hour with a friend, thank you so much 🥰🌹
it’s the most wonderful time of the yeeeeeear
Have you seen the Notiq wallets?? They fit Hobonichi Weeks! I use that for meal planning and family schedule for the week. ❤
Oh my word, I haven't!!! Now I have to go look ,haha
🌸💛 I had just decided to simplify my planning routine, but this video gave me some great ideas. and i will have to change my plans a bit. well done, as always, Sarra

❤🪷 I am so inspired with the way you explained how you are going to use the different planners. This time of year is so exciting. Love stationary. ❤🪷
Love this planner stack Sarra! I use the Laurel Denise Portrait and I love it. It’s my home planner. I am really enjoying it! I am also using the Hello Kitty one for 2025!
Awesome video!
I’ve been slacking off lately but I getting 2025 planners set up after totally decluttering / organizing my home office .
I'm so inspired! 💜🌻 I don't think I can give up my 6-ring planner(s), but I love the idea of a home-base planner for all the things!
🌸🌻🌺
Your planner lineup videos are always my absolute favorite!
I even bought a 7year journal for my kid but I always fall off the bandwagon :(
Love seeing all your planners and your ideas for how you're going to use them. Got me really excited to start my set up now too
🌺 💖 I love this video every year! I buy planners without purpose and I love your thought process, thank you for sharing with us. You have given me ideas to use for 2025. 😊
I love that you make notes on what you want your planners to do for you!
🌷🌺🪻 I love your planner videos sarra. Always an instant click for me!
Erin Condren was my gateway planner, and now that they have an A5 size, if they would offer a Monday start monthly view I would not hesitate to return--especially with Sarra's frankenplanner tips and tricks.
Love these! Motivating me to get started on my planning for 2025!
🌺♥ Super impressed that you're on your second five year journal. I was considering the Hobonichi five year but then I thought about my track record and decided I'd start with something cheaper and then if I stuck to it I can get a fancy one.
💖 and I am so excited for the 2025 new year! !!I am so inspired by your systems!!
Oh and 🌻💘
🌸🌹 love your planner videos! I got some good ideas, thanks for sharing!
❤ 🌸I would love either planner 🎉
🌻I enjoyed seeing the review and adjustments you're making. I hope that the adjustments are easy to accept and build on!
I’ve been thinking about getting a coil punch and Franken planning hb90 with an Erin Condren. I’m so excited to get inspired from how you do it! 🌸
❤️🌻
Keeping my main system very simple next year.
Oooh. 💖🌺 I love your videos, I get so tempted by all the goodies. Thanks for the chance!
🌺I'm glad you are excited about your pared down planner system.
🌼This video came at just the right time as I'm trying to plan my planners for 2025! 🌼
I love this, Sarra! So inspiring!
🌼💚
Thanks for posting this video. It gave me a lot of ideas that I'm gonna have to sort through and see what might work for me.
💜 I love these vids! Makes we want to pull out all my planners and play! Ready for HB90 to kick off. Oh how I love a new quarter (and a new year)!
I love your planner videos they always give me ideas about what might work or not work for me. Love them all!
Wow, I want to plan as good as you when I grow up. As always, I love watching your videos. 🌸 ❤
I’m using the Sterling Ink monthly planner as a marketing planner so I can keep track of which promotions I’m running when so I don’t get behind in marketing efforts, and it’s working for me so well so far!
🌸 This is my favorite time of the year! Planner stack time! ❤
🪻 🩷 I love your planners and your planner lineup. I just recently signed up for your HB90 course and can't wait to get started!!!
❤ I have wanted to try the daily duo for a while. There is something about it that seems very appealing to me. 😊
❤🌹 I’m just starting to plan and seeing what I need which is why I’m watching your video. Would love a new planner ❤🌷
Oh no! I love the Hello Kitty Planner!
To myself: *chanting* youdon'tneedanotherplanner youdon'tneedanotherplanner youdon'tneedanotherplanner
💞🌺 I only use a few planners...too many I don't maintain, and it stresses me out. It's so neat how everyone plans differently.
Am I nervous? Yes haha. But I"m also excited. I hope it's not a major pain!
🪻This makes me so excited to get ready for 2025📚💜📚 Love the cherry notebook 🍒
Love it! ❤🌸 Thank you for these videos!
🥀aw, love hearing your thinking behind your decisions
🌼 I love all your videos, I watch them in the mornings before work. You just motivated me to start a 5 year memory journal!
I love watching you put together all you're planners. I'm excited to see how they turn out for you! ❤🌻
I bought some of the 50th hello kitty products for my sister, because she loves HK. So I'm glad I could see the cover here. love you!
❤🌸 they look so beautiful and would be great to use 😍
Have you ever tried a faux leather snap in cover for your Happy Planner? It gives the hard cover feel, but you can still flip it fully in half to use. 🌸
🌸 Loving this video! It's my first time seeing your annual planner video. 🩷
Keeping things the same this year: EC hourly, Aura Estelle B6 daily and my 3rd year in my 5 year Hobonichi. I also have about 8 notebooks going, each with a purpose such as reading, gardening, camping, travel, etc.
🌺 I'm at the same point setting up my planners for next year. But kind of waiting for Path Forward, HB90 and Writing workshops...lol
🌷 You always give me so many notebook ideas. I'm excited to start a few new ones in 2025. I love your tarot journal I might try that!
