Lol omgsh that's embarrassing ... but hey don't blame me, blame the men in this video that told me this was table saw!! haha. Don't worry.. I'll school them on this knowledge right after I type out this comment... I try to avoid any type of saw... I really don't trust myself and my intrusive thoughts... I'm glad I made it out okay too! Thanks so much for watching - I'm glad this brought you a few laughs!
French cleats are awesome. Been wondering when we'd see the Big Tummy reveal, you've been pretty good about only shooting your face in all these...LOL. HUGE congrats, little mama (and pop).
I’m liking is idea. I have about 50 paintings and I want to rotate them . Also I wish I’d known this sooner cause I just finished a 3x4 foot painting. It would have been so much easier.
Hi do u mean the cleat is screwed on to the back of the painting (the stretcher) or it works as well when the painting is hang on to the screw which is screwed to the top cleat?
Hi! You can do it either way. I see most people screw the cleat into the canvas but I didn't like the idea of making unnecessary holes that wouldn't serve a purpose later on when the piece is finished. So I just nailed in 2 nails and hang the paintings on those while or attached the wired painting to those while I work :). I've only had it fall a few times lol... but it works pretty well for the most part!
omgsh you are right!! My bad! That is literally the most important part haha. Thanks for the note - I'll have to make a new video in the future discussing that!
ahhhh, leave it up to my to forget mentioning the most import part of the process.. sheesh. Thanks for pointing this out. So there are 2 ways you can do this. I put 2 nails into smaller wood cleats. I attach that to a cleat on the wall and then just place the canvas on there, hanging it from the stretcher bar on the back of the canvas. You could also wire that canvas and then hang that on the cleat. The second way is screwing the smaller cleat in the canvas stretcher bar and then placing that onto the cleat wall. I take the lazy route and do the first way haha. Hope this helped!
Hi! So I actually just responded to another person who commented the same thing lol. I'll copy and paste that here for ya 🙂 ahhhh, leave it up to my to forget mentioning the most import part of the process.. sheesh. Thanks for pointing this out. So there are 2 ways you can do this. You didn't show how to attach to the back of a painting etc. That is the part some won't get !!!
omgsh you are right!! My bad! That is literally the most important part haha. Thanks for the note - I'll have to make a new video in the future discussing that!
Yea, but how do the paintings attach to it?
