    Talk Synopsis:
What’s the difference between Peyote and False Peyotes? Are they like other mescaline cacti?
Beginning with an ethnobotanical overview of mescaline cacti, Dr Liam Engel explains cacti seed germination and how to graft germinated seedlings onto Periskiposis spathulata at a young age.
Most professional growers obtain their plants by growing from seed or trading - few people can afford rare cacti at market value. In this presentation, viewers learn to accelerate the growth of slow-growing and valuable cacti.

    Thank you!
As a Native American, peyote as a sacrament has been both a medicine and a teacher.
Unfortunately, Peyote is endangered due to the policies of the DEA & U.S Government.
A global botanical movement is needed to prevent them from going extinct.

Thanks Tacit Tern, we are also very concerned about the plight of Peyote. We have heard that land clearing for mining and agriculture is another big problem.
There is only so much we can do over here in Australia, but with the help of Liam, Keeper Trout and the EGA team we wrote the Reference guide for Lophophora conservation to help people gain insight on the issue.

he said "shady shade cloth" - btw: if you have old seeds, look into tissue culture techniques for germinating old seeds to increase seed germination rates.
