Love the chilled vibes I believe Sabrina is Italian and Arabic name. People always assume I’m Italian and at home in France we have a lot of Algerian people who are shocked that I have an Algerian Arabic name 🤣so they assume I have Arabic blood …But no not Italian and not Algerian !!… I had no idea it existed in Egypt… I’m taking good note from your travel tips! Thank you 🙏🏼 Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
Yes, the Nubians living on that island near Aswan City do seem far more relaxed than some of their other compatriots. And , yes their homes and buildings are very colorful but the Ancient Egyptians ALSO loved to paint virtually every building, home and even statue as brightly and colorfully as possible ! Great that you actually got to SWIM in the Nile itself! I wonder if either Alexander the Great or Cleopatra got to do that (instead of just soaking in pools or baths fed by Nile canals)? I wouldn't have expected it to have been so clear and COOL at Aswan- especially after having flowed so many months across hot desert from their mountainous cloud forests! I hope you won't try to swim it in Cairo where, I understand, it can get quite nasty! Great video showcasing Egypt's natural beauty! Thanks!
yeah Nile water is safe to drink anywhere starting from Aswan and upstream if its from the middle of the river where the current is faster and it is always cold from june-october because that's when the water from the Ethiopian highlands reaches Egypt.
You guys are a big inspiration to us, been plowing through all your videos over the last couple of weeks, just loving the content. Its informative, laid back, and shows exactly how a traveler would see the destination if they were there. Hope to quit the 9 to 5 grind soon and travel for a year, as you guys show that its possible to do. Big fans here. Will see you when you reach a million subs! And Happy Easter!
That shop with no owner there, I see every Bowl is a piece of Art. Not just thrown in, but placed with precision and care as is the whole shop and I would assume all shops might be like that. A very Proud People. Thanks for sharing I love anything about Egypt, Cheers H
What a wonderful, interesting trip. Scenic, peaceful, colourful village, no one outside in 40C. Food looked delicious. Had never heard of Nubian people. Cold water in Nile. Love your videos.
I was there 5 weeks ago with my Egyptian husband to visit family it's a beautiful place, We also went on the sleeper train from Aswan to Cairo which for some reason took 19 hours 😂well worth it though.
You two are a lovely couple. I have always dreamed of seeing the pyramids, and loved researching the culture and history when I was younger. I still want to see it all. What drew you to Egypt, anything particular or capturing for you specifically?
Nubians are the indigenous people of the area south of Aswan to present-day Shendi in Sudan. Many of their villages perished with the construction of the Aswan Dam, which is why most of the Nubians in Egypt were relocated to Aswan and Kom Ombo.
Thank you for bringing us along to experience the Nubian villages and the chill vibe.I was surprised not to see more people- but it was hot.The spice stall was lovely.I was in a shop in Morocco once a long time ago and the owner had to go pray so he left me in charge! I spoke French so he thought I cld handle it.Hilarious! After this, Cairo will be a shock to the system.
I love your Egypt series and love your tour guiding skills. Enjoyed watching the whole series. If you have some time to visit Hurghada, Dahab or Sharm Sheik you will not regret it.
fantastic place to stay with local friendly Nubians. My friend & I stayed there Elephantine island in Oct.2019 & also took a boat trip to nearby tourist spots Nubian tourists shops & botanical garden. we also ate at the local nubian restaurant with bonus Egyptian beer too! It was also hot in October. We spent few days in Aswan, visited the very informative new Aswan Museum & took day tours to some nearby popular ancient Temples & Nubian tombs on the sand hills opposite Aswan city.
Oh cool, I was there yesterday, exact same views and spots like the King Jamaica restaurant. It was really relaxed there as you said, and indeed across the Nile in the central part, I noticed people were trying to actively sell stuff again. Enjoy your adventures in Egypt!
I also went to Aswan in February and jumped in to the Nile. I jumped only twice as the water was ice cold, but when I got out I felt like with the Nile energy with me! Magical experience. Egypt is full of surprises, diversity and magic.
Aswan is known for its beautiful Nile Valley scenery, significant archaeological sites and its peaceful aura. Its weather is warm all year round, which makes it a perfect winter destination. The city provides splendid views and attractions to sail through the Nile with a felucca (Egyptian sailboat).
Love your channel! Also, LOVE Egypt - It is a fantastic place. We were there a few years ago and traveled all over the country from Cairo, down to the Aswan High Dam. But DON'T swim in the Nile again, as you could catch Schistosomiasis.
Hiya. Beautiful video. Perfect music. Always good vibes. You two are the perfect tour guides. Beautiful footage. The villages are so very colourful. I love watching your travels and adventures. Picture perfect. Almost like a postcard picture. Haha. That was me. Doing gardening in 20 weather. Having a cuppa. Have a wonderful week. Happy Easter.
Enjoyed this tour very much. The walk about, boat trips, scenery...topped up with cool music. It is a strange contrast, the baking sand into cold water! We have that here in Morocco. Thanks again, take care.✌
Aswan is great because of the clear water of the Nile,I found the best way to get about was by bicycle as it makes you much more independent and able to find places off the beaten track. I remember the first time I went, taken by 2 lads who claimed to be guides😅,we went in a mini bus and travel by convoy with armed police,we were having a good time until we had a cop jump in with us -the kind that wears shades and took himself dead serious -you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife,no more rock on the stereo, had to suffer the cops dreary music, halfway we stopped to eat and it being Ramadan the cop rushed off,I looked down and saw that the prat had left his AK behind"quick Ali grab that and lets have a photo"-best ever lol,Ali, looking sideways holding the thing, we were in tears laughing, total change of atmosphere after that and "dirty harry" bailed out after a few miles feeling really uncomfortable with us.lol.
yeah it was a nice trick, because thats exactly how our thought process was. we didn't want to offer too low and offend them but ended up offering way more haha. Those 4 drinks are less than 1 usd lol
Eygpt is amazing. Your cruise on the Nile...did you feel the amazing history? Looking at some of the same scensry that Cleopatra viewed. All of your travels are interesting, but I particularly love this. Thanks for sharing.
The funny thing is Cleopatra wasn't from ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt was more ancient to her than she is to us. Just goes to show how old a lot of those ruins are. Also bear in mind a lot of the land was more fertile back then. The desert has since grown.
Great video guys. Love your work! You both appear to be pretty adventurous when it comes to local food. Do you take any precautions or do just go-with-the-flow? All the best. 👍🏻

Thanks For Your Opinion About Aswan 🥰
At 11:34 - the building on the hill with the dome is the Aga Khan's. He is buried there and his widow (a French woman) lived there for many years.
Extremely impressed by Egypt. Prices, scenery, etc. Thank you guys for sharing.

That was the most amazing colourful village! Thankyou so much for filming this area!

The music from this video made feel like I'm really there. Thanks for showing us the sites
Finally a relaxed and somewhat clean place in Egypt without harassment by vendors.
The choice of music for this video was superb. The music made this video. This is one of your best videos. Really enjoyed it.
Nubians are the indigenous people of the area south of Aswan to present-day Shendi in Sudan. Many of their villages perished with the construction of the Aswan Dam, which is why most of the Nubians in Egypt were relocated to Aswan and Kom Ombo.
They are the original people of Egypt before the foreign immigrants from Greece to Arab took over the country.
I really enjoyed to watch this video of Aswan!
Thank you and greetings from Brazil 💙

Where is the Aswan museum?
the aswan museum is located south part of aswan city, not too far.
One of your best videos. The hibiscus drink is called karkade. Lack of people during the day was because during Ramadan people eat only after sunset.
At least you seem to found serenity in Assouan ! Thanks a lot for these pictures and moments.
This channel never disappoints. One of the very few that is a must watch. Thank you for taking us on your journey.
I have been to elephantine a lot I've been in Egypt like a lot of times and I know every facilities and everything
