    Hi Holly!!! The beginning was actually really nice with the almost pastel like colours but I’m a sucker for jewel tones so I really liked the end result too. I always find it fascinating to see a painting change when it is manipulated. 💖

    Can you add the colors after it dries?

    • @HollyFischerArt
      @HollyFischerArt  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @karenavery - sure you could add colors after it has dried. You could brush color on in a controlled manner. You could even flick more paint across - doing similar techniques that had been used earlier in the painting and then adding more once the first parts are dried so those parts remain intact as they'd been.

    Gorgeous! I'm afraid to do ninja 🥷 swipes or spinners! I don't think my landlord would appreciate his walls painted!

      LOL! Thank you, Emily! You likely do have a point there. I've gotten paint in places (accidentally, of course!) I'd never imagined it would end up! 💖💖

      Get the trifold cardboard that kids use for science fairs and put it around your canvas.

    My colors sank into the base. Are they too thick or not thick enough?
    😊

    • @HollyFischerArt
      @HollyFischerArt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Karen, It could be a difference in consistency, but it is more likely to be something just different about the paint laid on top of the base. It's hard to know for sure without my knowing what exactly you did. Amsterdam white, for example, does have a tendency to sink and certain colors do just sink more than others. I'd think it is most likely to do with the paint itself. It can be a strategy to have a thinner paint as the base than the colors that are put on top so that is not likely what the issue was, unless the base paint was far too thin.
