That bear picture where it’s head was on his paws so cute!
Beautiful pictures. Love to see the animals in a more natural habitat. Thank you for taking us a long.
Best day ever!
Loved hearing the wolves howl at the train. I had a husky that did the same thing.(Neighbors were not amused, but we encouraged her to communicate)
Nice video....however, there is so much to see and do in Anchorage. If you are ever in Anchorage again, I highly recommend the trolley tour, so informative and a great tour. The store you were in; I was there in 2014 and that bear was outside the store then! I purchased a nice jacket in that store that I still wear today, great prices. Lots of museums in Anchorage and fabulous places to eat as well E Street is a favorite. The photo of the bear on the rock would make a fabulous holiday card! Enjoying your adventures in Alaska.
I bought an ulu knife in 2007 in Alaska and I still love using it. Loving these vlogs. Thanks
Dee those are such good pictures. I loved the ones of the bears. I’m glad you made it to anchorage. I wish you had had time to eat some Mexican food. lAnchorage has the best.
Love watching your excitement when you are among all that wildlife. I immediately thought of you last night while watching our local news in Vancouver. There were 2 orcas in the Burrard Inlet, right under the Lion's Gate Bridge (close to the port). Always great to see so close to home.
That had to be an amazing conservation area, between the animals and the scenery it has to be a wonderful place to work. Excellent photography as usual Dee. I loved the bear posing with his chin on his paws.
We (My husband and I) went there in 1999. It was a stop on the bus ride to Anchorage Airport post-cruise. I really love Alaska and the animals made that trip. The Balooga's were out in force, we saw Orka, and blue wales feeding. It was magic!
The Alaska wildlife conservation center was part of our HAL land tour.
Such amazing enclosures.
Another great vlog! Jay, love the socks and Dee, great wildlife pics! I also visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center that day with an independent tour. We made similar stops. The drive along the Seward Highway was very scenic and we saw lots of hanging glaciers, the kind situated in an upper valley or dip in a mountain. One thing of interest was the areas where they have bore tides, the kind that come in really fast. We learned that if you walk out on these silty flats at low tide, the mud can work like quicksand! Our guide Julie was a fabulous local who was funny and told so many stories. For anyone interested, this was a small group tour with Alaska's Finest Tours & Cruises & Turnagain Arm Shuttle. Of course, the best guide is a personal one, right? Your experience was at the wildlife center looked fabulous! Wasn't it cool to see that variety of wildlife? My favorite was the moose because that was the only place I saw moose on this cruise.
We visited the Wildlife Conservation Center on a land trip in August 2021. Thanks for bringing us back.
It went below freezing here in Texas and that bowl of french onion soup you showed is just what i need. Thx for a lovely video🚢😊
There's absolutely no way I could ever pick out a favorite video of yalls but...I think this is my favorite Alaska one. Did I really just say that? Dang, they are all such good videos, and honestly I feel weird picking one as my favorite but the grands couldn't take their eyes off the TV. We all want to cuddle with the grizzlies!!!❤😂😅😂😅❤
Great pics of the animals!
Great video, and Dee, your photos are exquisite!
WOW!THATWASBYFAR-THEBESTTHINGIHAVEEVERSEENYOUDO!AWESOME!I WISHICOULDBEGOINGONACRUISE-THANKS!
When you disembark in Whittier from Princess, you can go to the AWCC and Alyeska on a transfer excursion on the way to the airport. We had an evening flight so it was perfect.
Zoos do a lot of conservation stuff as well, they're not just cages with animals in the. And if the animals can't be released back into the wild then a lot of time they are sent to zoos for permanent home, but they do a lot behind the scenes work with them.
Good morning!
I really miss living in ANC.
I didn’t see captions on the food photos - just a period 🤔 I gave them my own names in my head 😁
Hope to visit here next May on our cruise and visit to Anchorage. Can you drive in the park? Walking issues
You can indeed!! :D
Is the cruise not the excursion but the ship. Which was your favorite ship for sailing to Alaska?
Our favorite overall experience for Alaska so far has been Princess, closely followed by Carnival. We’d probably give Holland the third spot.
If you can only do one cruise to Alaska which cruise line, would you take.??
Our first choice would be Princess!! :D
Thanks.
Jay you may want to be careful with the Eagles music playing in the background. They are really strict with that and will post a strike. They may be worse than Led Zeppelin.
The male moose was so sick and the most under nourished I have ever seen.
