We're off to explore some parts of Alaska we've never seen before on our very first Alaskan cruise with Holland America Line! Join us as we hop onboard Noordam for a 14-day round-trip itinerary out of Vancouver with stops in Kodiak, Anchorage, Valdez, Skagway, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Prince Rupert, plus some scenic sailing in Glacier Bay. We sailed from September 17 through October 1, 2023 on this leg of our journey... let's do this thing!! :D

Great job of giving viewers a realistic idea of a day in Glacier Bay, from the sound of the howling wind to the views of several glaciers! And like the NP Ranger said, experiencing Glacier Bay is a gift. It won't be the same every time but it will be fabulous anyway! We've visited 4 times and each was different from having lots of ice floes and wildlife in the bay to bright sunny days to many calving episodes and to even having rain, rain, rain. Dee, you are right that it seems glaciers are receding. I was on this cruise with you and appreciate Jay making a selfie of us in Glacier Bay. Love and appreciate your vlogging style and obvious affinity for cruising!
Alaska is such an amazing place, no? Lived there most of my life, and never get tired of the beauty.
Finally back after our 37 day adventure. Fly to Hawaii, after 5 days cruised for 20 days to Sydney via Tahiti and New Zealand. Three days in Australia and 3 days at Great Barrier Reef then 3 days in Fiji on our way home. Thank you for your information about Hanauma Bay. It was incredible. We booked the transportation package then you did not have to have a reservation. You would love Australia and New Zealand. We went to the Featherdale Wildlife reserve near Sydney and say kangaroos, koalas and wallabies up close, and joeys!!!!!

We had a great Glacier Bay Day on Ruby Princess in 2018. Lots of calving and otters
When I went on my msc meraviglia cruise back in April there was a magic act on there as well and I saw them both nights they preformed and got to be part of their act the second night.
That soup looks like proper snert, you should be able to let your spoon stand straight up in there 😁

Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation of Royal Caribbean ship to Alaska, I say "none of 'em! Bc they don't go to Glacier Bay!"

Holland America is our favorite cruise line. However, evening activities, daytime enrichment, and evening entertainment options need improvement to attract the 40 to 60 year old cruiser. This opinion is after 19 cruises on most of the mainstream lines.
I was on the Eurodam in May for my 73rd birthday.😅
Please leave photos of food displayed while you are describing the food.
I feel that 4-5 seconds per dish during the dinner montage and 5 seconds at the end would be quite enough. We prefer to engage with the folks we’re talking to so you can see facial expressions and whatnot!! :P ~Jay
Ok guys, no more Alaska. I grew up in Chicago. I was there during the blizzard of 78. I have absolutely no interest in Alaska. My family went to Yellowstone every summer. Then when I moved to San Diego, I went whale watching. I want warm weather stuff. Your Puerto Rico vloggs were amazing! How about some ABC islands?
