THANK YOU very, very much, dear brother Krzysztof! Your video is a true inspiration for us Catholics, who wants to walk the Camino de Santiago! Pilgrimage is not simply a walk, enjoying the landscape according to circumstances and landscapes. Pilgrimage implies, above all, leaving, starting from yourself, leaving your circumstances, your world; to somehow break away and separate, in order to walk, but still, it is not enough: the pilgrim has a purpose, an objective, a goal to achieve: be it Fatima, Rome, The Holy Land or Santiago de Compostela. The pilgrim knows where he wants to go and therefore, open to the unexpected and adventure, weighing the circumstances and forces, what is the itinerary for him, the most suitable path. The Christian pilgrim therefore hopes to reach the goal, the end, and it is this hope of getting there that keeps him going, and despite all his tiredness, he does not allow himself to faint. I had to personally walk the Camino de Santiago in 1998, as a Catholic pilgrim, to discover that after all the Camino with all its difficulties, questions, temptations, conversion, crying, joy and growth in faith... is the expression of Christian life itself . Greetings from Portugal!!!
Two years plus and your pilgrimage is blessing others like myself, to which I am thankful to God and thankful to you for this video..I plan to do the Camino Frances, if God allows, starting in June,. to give thanks for my 66th birthday; but most of all , because i am sure God has been calling me for a few years to do so and just like my relationship with Him, I have put it off; but the call is now become very powerful. I have started to prepare my lazy body and am in process of deepening my Catholic Faith. In a mystical way, I feel deep inside of me my pilgrimage has already started. I come with lots of baggage, mistakes, sins and regrets and I come with, has you said, "Intention" but I don't know what that Intention is. Of all the videos I have watched, your's has penetrated my heart and will play a big part in my preparations. I pray that God will bless you and keep you, please pray for me if you are able. In Christ John Essex, England
Thank you! We depart June 4, 2023 from Viginia, USA to Camino. I have no expectations. Your film is exceptional, mysterious, it speaks words to me that I can't understand but that give me a pause that I can't put into words.
Thank you for this inspiring and touching recount. It has helped me with my own struggles and helped me to understand how important it is to follow God's calling. Thank you.
Bonita, obrigado, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
Thank you! I will remember about you in my prayers... Hava a great time on the Way of St James and Im wishing you lots of blessings... Im in Santiago right now :) Keep well & Buen Camino!!
This was so beautiful, I had to watch it twice. I am not a 'doing person' so I am very glad you exist! I am so grateful you went on your journey and were able to share your experiences. I did not grow up with religion. I understand now that we are all spiritual. Sometimes the teachings come early in life, for some of us, they come much later. I hope that many more people see your video, so that they can understand this fundamental reason of why we are all here on earth. So, so beautfiul and thank you so much for sharing your journey..
I am also trying to be a daily Catholic disciple and going on The Way to St James via Oviedo. I thank you for taking me along on your journey with your thoughts, prayers, loneliness, interior demons, yourself.
Good comment. When I walked the Camino the devil walked with me. What do I mean? I realized my own failings on my own personal journey to be perfect as God wants me to be. Yes, he, (or his demons) accompanied me with bad and sinful thoughts, temptations. On two occasions, he showed me his physical presence by a sound behind me, very clear. Second, when I knocked my rosary to the ground with a loud clatter, immediately following a sinful, evil thought. Edit: very soon after both these incidents, a black cat crossed in front of me a while I was passing through a small village. I would add that I have began to notice things, occurrences if you like, on my personal journey towards sanctification.
Dear Krzysztof Thank you for this incredible inspiring movie. Beside all other Clips on youtube about the Camino , yours is a really special one. I recently did the Camino Frances, but started more or less without strong spiritual commitment. Very soon I involved myself in the search of God , but with a lot of doubt. The fellow pilgrims I met, are mostly in the same "struggle" even if they don't confess openly. I like your strong faith and your compassion with those who are not already there.
Hi Scardinius, thank you for your very personal comment and your testemony. Bigger or smaller miracles happen on Camino. I saw there too many examples and testemonies not to belive. What I think now is that we shouldnt belive in direct miracle but rather strongly cooperate with God's grace. In this process, after a certain time we will see and truly experience transforming power of God and Way itself. I saw people who decided to babtise themselfs right after Camino or went for confession in church after 30 years... I met elder couple from Netherlands who came back to regular religious practice on Camino after 40 years... Yes, I agree with you totally - even those pilgrims who dont confess it straight experience God in their own way. Everyday I thank to God for my Camino. This is one of these seldom moments in life that one can feel and experience spiritual presence of Heavens... Keep well my Friend!
Very inspiring, Krystof. Thanks for making and sharing your pilgrimage so generously. I have been feeling the call of Santiago recently. Even more so after watching your thoughtful film. Sending gratitude and blessings from Ireland. 🙏🙏🙏
"You will keep perfectly peaceful the one whose mind remains focused on you, because he remains in you." Is 26:3 - I loved your pilgrimage too, full of peace, faith, hope and testimony. May God bless you on the Path/Way of your life !!!
Absolutely beautiful video, one of the best things I've ever seen on TH-cam. Thank you so much for making this and for sharing your journey. Bless you.
Your testimony was absolute amazing, Krzysztof. I had some spiritual experiences on the Camino too. When I mentioned it to a couple of priest friends they kind of dismissed it.... Which is to be expected as it seems not to be rational to the human mind. But yes, it didn't seem rational to me either, but it was my experience on the Camino.
A very inspiring journey to Camino de Santiago. We all are travelling on earth and our true home is to be with our Creator. A journey to Camino is one of many ways to transform oneself. Congratulations! I think your journey was fruitful as you were able to realize what is important in life.
Thank you Jessica for your comment. This is exactly what probably happens during each single walk to Santiago. And this Way works different for everyone. But generally this long walk makes such a big impact on pilgrim that she/he gets closer to what is really the most important in life. Returning back to Creator. Keep well on your Way! 🙏😊
I do not often respond to things that I see like this, but I found that I needed to say something. I sensed an integrity in you that was inspiring. I will never be able to do anything like this myself due to mobility problems and getting older. But 5that I make some sort of pilgrimage is inevitable. I am not RC but am Christian with a deep sense of being contemplative. Your journey has become part of my own.
I absolutely loved your journey experience… it was unique to the many others I’ve watched. It has been on my own heart for over 10 years to make this pilgrimage.. Your film invited into the experience. Your honesty, thoughts, and reverence for our Lord came shining through. Thank you for sharing your love for God with us. ❤ It reached a depth into my soul.. I could only imagine… God bless you!
I loved this video. Thank you for sharing your journey. Very emotional. Very inspiring 😇 It so good to be reminded of great lessons in the personal path🙏 best wishes! Buen Camino!
Somehow your journey is the journey of us all. Though we have not taken the physical steps, we have walked and been transported with you and the depth of your experience.
We are all on the same path. Going to the same direction, to the same end... Any pilgrimage symbolizes journey through human's life. Thank you for your comment and keep well on your Way!
Dear Krzysztof, (my first TH-cam comment!) Thank you for sharing this spiritual documentary. I hope you continue on your Camino de San Krzysztof! And I hope that you intercede with your prayers to help guide other pilgrims-such as my son, Kevin. He just began his Camino from Almeria. And when he awakens tomorrow morning, he will see my message about your beautiful and heartfelt documentary. God bless you. Thomas
Dziękuję Krzysztof, what you say makes so much more sense than many other videos trying to describe the meaning of pilgrimage. Very touching account. God bless you and your loved ones! I am over 60 and planning my first Camino. I have some arthrosis in my toes and unsure if it will be a major problem on the way. But I am going to try. How to walk like Jesus walked? "By this we may be sure that we are in him: he who says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked." 1 John 2:5-6. I hope you don't mind the fact that many non-Catholics love your story.
A beautiful and inspiring film. Having done Camino de France this spring it was nice to reflect my own experience by looking your film. Camino-feeling is alive!
Thank you so very much for sharing your journey. I have listened from many people doing the Camino and for the very first time I have actually loved your inspiring story. It was the very best documentary I have heard so far. Thank you again, it was beautiful. From Texas Thanks

The best film on the Camino so far. Not the usual "Eat, Pray, Love" kind of fake spirituality.

It's a route began for Catholics to get rid of the consequences of sin in their lives.
I urge you to do it correctly.
1)....Get a "Credencial" in a church at the start.
2)....Get at least two stamps per day.
3)....Pray at every church, cross or sign of respect for Christ and his church.
4)....At Santiago, go to the cathedral office and get certificate of completion.

However, if you are not a practising Catholic do NOT go up to receive Communion. The least you can do for yourself is respect the faith and tradition that welcomes you.
