This actually lead to BOTH people from san francisco and gay right movement, and orignal fans shunning the song and destroying their copies, making this song nearly extinct. EDIT : almost forgot a tragic element, the person who the song was dedicated to was actually highly bullied for it after, causing PTSD to boil up, and remind him of the war.
