The latest suspension wave was for Red Wine quest. It could have been any amount of time back in the past that you did the quest. I heard people that did it 6 months ago receiving 14 day bans. I have been running 24/7 automation farming krono and tradeskill items with MQ and no bans on those accounts.

Its a shame they don't identify why you got the suspension. Its possible we, as players, may do things we don't believe are violations of their TOS and an explanation would make us forewarned to not repeat whatever actions led to a ban. I’m going to go with 1 he is using MQ2 and admits to using it. 2 he literally is promoted by a Everquest Hacking website lol. I mean if they didn’t ban you I would be concerned

Was suspended. Only the accounts that DIDNT run mq2 were suspended. Two accounts on comps that have never had anything but eq were suspended. So if you can get suspended for using mq2 on any account, might as well use it on all of them.
Same thing happened to me, I took a 2 month break, came back, logged in and was suspended. Just my TLP accounts.
I was suspended early Febuary this year for 3rd party software. What's interesting is I use 4 accounts with MQ2 but only my main got banned for a week. On top of this, I hadnt logged on in three or more weeks, and when I did log on it was just to check my trader in the baz. All this makes it difficult to determine what I actually did wrong and its scary to think my accounts that are over 20 years old could get perma banned for something I didnt even know I did potentially months prior.

The reason they dont tell you is like every other game on the market... If you know the reason then you will know what not to do next time so you will find other ways to do what they dont like. Not to say you were cheating but this is mainly for the people who do cheat, they wont ever tell you why so that you dont know what program they caught you with or what action you got caught on. makes it harded for cheaters to idenify the issue and try something new.
@@aanlran I wasn't "suspended" - and I'm referring to some general info on why, not specifics - if I get a suspension and never get a reason why I'm never giving you my money again
Its actually insanely easy to not get banned in eq, literally just dont attempt to use 3rd party addons, get around truebox, scam krono, or use macroquest. I know this is EXTREMELY hard for eq players, but its incredibly simple to not get banned.

I know they were suspending(not banning) people, for abusing the red wine quest. Lots of people were doing that on the TLPs I guess.

So basically daybreak introduced an item duping bug into their own game. Then daybreak ignored reports of that bug for almost 2 weeks. Then exploiters of that bug crashed the game economy on all servers to make plat worthless and krono worth a fortune. Then daybreak chose not to do a server rollback and to release made up bullshit numbers minimizing the damage they did to their own game. Then players who had shitloads of platinum went wait I can just buy myself level 60 for less than a krono on this TLP server by stacking all the 42 slot bags I bought from daybreak full of red wine and handing them in for an hour. Then daybreak banned those players for playing within the bounds of the fucked up game they created.
Welcome to why I charged back every purchase I made from them in the last 6 months and will never touch a daybreak game again.

It's a fair point but what I'm trying to say is what's with the 7 month delay if that's what its actually for.
It's my limited understanding that this is kinda SOP for banning. They usually ban every 6months or so in batches so it is very probable the offense could of happened awhile ago. Reasoning I was told has to do more with combating detection systems, ie if you receive immediate ban it's easier to track backwards to what went wrong with the alleged cheat and how it was detected and then make changes to avoid future bans. Either you're being intentionally obtuse or you dont play on TLPs. Botters who are openly using MQ are advertising their services in open chat every 2 minutes on Oakwynd and have continued to do so through the suspensions. While people who have never botted or even run MQ or SEQ are suspended for using third-party software....or red wine quest. The problem isn't that they're suspending "cheaters"....they arent. The cheaters are still there and making a profit while they make a show of suspending a bunch of randos and (from what I can tell) completely avoiding suspending anyone who was actually cheating.
“I don’t do any of the serious cheats” literally just admitted to cheating lol. Is multi-boxing even allowed on their game? Just because blizzard doesn’t ban it doesn’t mean every other mmo won’t.
Do you play? There’s levels of cheats and hacks that even some of the websites have exploded they’re so bad, I do about 60/65 in a 55 was my point not the 100 plus some do
The ban wave happened if you had ever in the last year done the Wine Quest more then they feel is acceptable. Which is to say, we dont like you, so here is a ban even though you played the game like everyone else and there were some people who either couldnt afforded to the do the wine quest 10 million times or didnt know about it and so we will ban you for that but meanwhile if you stored 10 trillion diamonds in your trade depot and are selling them slowly over the month to make plat to steal krono, you are ok. CAUSE THEY ONLY REMOVED PLAT, Not the 10 trillion gems created.... think all the smart people left and now it's just a bunch of guys who arent getting laid and have no balls running the show... basically a beta leading a beta whos simping over the one hot girl in HR department.
It does seem like some arbitrary cut off was used. None of my accounts were hit, though all had red wined to 20.

Dont do stupid stuff and you dont get banned, it's not hard...I have played since betarelease in 97 and i am still playing and raiding and have never been banned and dont see it happen in the future either
It's gonna suck when your name comes up in the DPG suspension lottery then. Because mine did...and I'm still not cheating.
