1. I applied for flex receiver position- I'm on call
2. I wore a black pants suit, white blouse, black blazer, and black flats.
3. I did my make up on the natural side. I did not fill in my eyebrows since I know it can look harsh.
4. Arrive 30 minutes early. It shows that you're dependable and also, the person interviewing you may be busy since Macy's is always busy.
5. Arrive without anyone. It looks unprofessional if you do.
6. No, you don't need to wear all black to the interview. Unless it's beauty, but trust that look is played out. Trust me.

I'm getting an interview this Monday (August, 14 @ 3:30pm) and I'm the type who has their voice quiver when they speak. I'm getting hired for men's retail retail commission (and I never worked at retail before) I wanna know if I have to bring anything to the interview . I hope not. I also wanna know if I have to wear makeup.. I only wear mascara and nude lip balm and don't wear eye liner anymore. I just hope I get this job 😟
You can wear makeup, but more on the natural side. Along side with a smile and the confidence that you will get the job. Good Luck :)

Shanice H I work in men's suits so I get commission as well as getting paid by the hour so it gave me more of a reason to want people in my area. but it's a little annoying ever since they moved our department to another location that receives the most returns and customer questions . so its hard to have time to put clothes back. but I mean other that that this job beats fast food any day
It’s so easy to get hired at Macy’s. I got hired over the phone and the lady was basically helping me answer the questions. 😂

@@JesusMartinez-gc9ev I just had my interview last week, and if I remembered right the lady just asked me some simple questions based of past experiences such as when did you have to use a specific skill in the part of your job, basic stuff really (which I barely have any just please give me the job im so desperate at this point🥺)

I got hired through the phone interview for 20 mins call but I will only do seasonal pt since I have nursing school waiting for me in couple semesters 👍👌🤣
I literally applied to like 10 places at my local mall and only 2 called back one of them being macys. I got the job and now I have my training this weekend. (I didnt do any research on the company before getting hired) But now everywhere I look people talk some major shit about working for the company :/ Im kind of on the fence about it tho because they are gonna pay me $9.15 an hour which is way more than most other places at the mall. (Where I live minimum wage is still 7.25) So im not sure if I should just suck it up and stay or leave and loose that sweet 9.15 offer for a possible 7.25 at another place. ( I dont have much work experience so I doubt ill be hired at any other high paying place) Any advice?

Any advice for a fulfillment lead interview? My experience ranges from banquet serving/bartending/hosting, retail, call centers, and research. I’ve had to deal with the logistical end of sales to an extent, and I’m pretty savvy in days entree, multitasking, technology, never been a manager but I have had a lot of managerial training at my former employer.. I also went to school for psychology and marketing.. o got the interview and did a ton of research on them and their marketing strategies but idk

As someone who worked at Macy's for three years, DON'T DO IT! I used to work in the men's dress section and it was the worst. The managers constantly were on your back about selling their credit cards with ridiculously high interest rates and I've seen coworkers do whatever it takes to con people into signing up for one. Dealing with self entitled customers who will yell at you because you're following company policy day and cleaning up after people who throw clothes all over the place in and day out wears on you. I started to hate life and all people. I ended up getting out of that hell and finding a job I enjoy. I'm so much happier now. Never work for Macy's. They'll bleed you dry.

Apply for multiple positions. They sent me one "unfortunately we chose another candidate" and two weeks later I got call asking if I was still interested 😊 MIND you I did apply to 3 job positions. so that helps!

I went in person to the administration office in Macy’s and the lady there told me to apply online but I was persistent on needing a job and she took down my information and I got a call back in 10 min for an interview

what the hell I did everything you mention I looked everything up on glassdoor and when I get there they only asked me like three questions and that was it. then I get an email saying sorry we can't hire you like what the hell this is like my third time applying to them
Honestly, there's many other jobs besides Macy's. I don't work there anymore and now I work in the happiest place on Earth. Trust, everything in life falls into place and at the end of the day it's their loss for not hiring you. :)

I didn't get to go, but there are good videos that have great questions and the best way to answer. It seemed easy to me because I am from NY. Go over the store's history, customer service, work schedule flexibility, and the card program. They really want you to push the card.

Let me tell you something:Macy's is desperate to hire people, because no one is applying to Macy's. I worked there for 5 years and I helped out in HR, plenty of times. People tend to quit due to how horrible the place is, both their business and customer service is going down. Honestly, you seem like a good person I would say, do not work there. It will destroy you, it destroyed me as person
