The CP System II or CPS-2 is an arcade system board that Capcom first used in 1993 for Super Street Fighter II. It was the successor to their previous CP System and Capcom Power System Changer arcade hardware and was succeeded by the CP System III hardware in 1996.

-️19XX: The War Against Destiny and 1944: The Loop Master are the last arcade games in the 194X series and the only ones in the series not to have any home release.
-The Darkstalkers, Marvel vs. Capcom and Giga Wing series debuted on this arcade system.
-All of the main games in the Darkstalkers series were originated from this arcade system.
-Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of the Vampire are the last arcade games in the Darkstalkers series and the only ones in the series not to have any home release.

@@quattro4468 cps3 hardware predates the naomi and mvc2 it predates even marvel 1 sf3 new gen was 1997 alot of late cps2 games were ment for the cps3 but were canclled for the hardware and moved to the cps2 after capcom started seeing failures in the games released for it

Capcom was the king and god of all the good old fighters. And a great amount of good games. Very creative. But now, Capcom sucks bad in every sense. What went wrong with them? they used to be one of the best of the best game company. Now it's a lame shadow from them selves.

Now that Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection has been released last May, I wish Capcom would re-release Capcom Classics Collection again for PS4, XBONE, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
Just get an emulator. I came here to see what cps2 was because my new handheld emulator plays it lol. I bought one of these but after researching I would say if you can afford it get a Gameboy pi3 as it runs more emulators.
What I bought. It plays cps1 & 2 games along with all the emulators mentioned in the description. It has screen tearing.

Hi Sr. D, how are you? Mega Man The Power Battle is the only game that has been released for both boards (CPS1 and CPS2).

Actually, Street Fighter Alpha 1 was also released for both boards. Capcom wasn't sure if some arcades would be up to shelling out for the new CPS2, and so made a slightly downgraded version of Alpha 1 for the original CPS.
