It would have been amazing if GTA III had an actual sequel as all of the 3D era titles after III were prequels. Or maybe they did planned a sequel in the form of the GTA Tokyo from recent leaks but by the time they did decide it was already late as the PS2, original Xbox and Renderware Engine were ancient technology and it was time to move to newer technologies with a new universe and characters.
He may have become Mr. Nasty from Manhunt, since both Manhunts share the 3D Universe with GTA. Manhunt was most likely in development at the same time as GTA 3, or atleast it's concept was already made, as the host of Lips 106 mentions Carcer City and Gary Schafer, who is a minor character in Manhunt
Well in vice city he is a learner wanting to be like Carrington. In LCS he is newly rich to newly poor so you see him adjusting to it being wild when rich and pathetic when poor. I 3 he has been rich for a while and thus has reached the stage his mentor was at in vice city

Donald Love is one of the most charismatic video game characters I have ever known - especially in GTA III, he always speaks very eloquently and poetically, his voice actor did an amazing job!
Kyle MacLachlan, he is a really talented actor, but he never recalls working as a VA in gta3, maybe bc the "violence" drama although he acts worse characters (like, more evil characters lol).

I could be overthinking it and it's just an easter egg but judging by the dialogue in one of the Short Trip missions in online, there was a reference to one SA mission where CJ and The Truth burnt the field of weed. But I wish they did more than just references.

Donald love is this character that needed more screen time and in the end he never got it and he disappeared . I kinda like him though and I like the fact he actually learned something. I hope rockstar decides to add a mission with him and tells us about his disappearance what happened.

So my theory is that Catalina somehow killed Donald and disposed his body mysteriously. --OR-- Donald knew that the Cartel would go after him, so he sneakily escaped from Liberty City without anyone noticing. Then he went all quite into the shadows of unknown.
I have a theory that after he left Liberty City in 1998, he went somewhere where he met the 'Old oriental gentleman' and took a sort of spiritual guidance where he could reshape his personality and persona. Then came back more serene with clear ambitious to expand his empire.
I mean it makes sense because he was getting involved with illicit activities he had 0 experience with fully and it took him going broke to turn him into a proper psycho of sorts

The 3D Era left a lot of questions unanswered! R* should've at least make an animated movie or some comics books to explain some loose ends! Like who became the new leader of the Leone Family? What happened to Donald Love? Is CJ and his family still alive or Salvatore killed them? etc. That's why I like total conversion mods like Forelli's Redemption! Even though it's not canon (and treat some characters and lore poorly...) it's still good to see that it gives us some closure to some of these characters.
The one thing I recall is that i think in gta advance he was in it, i can't recall what he did in the game, maybe committing cannibalism? I don't quite remember but it's just something i randomly remember, again I'm not sure so i could be wrong
