Tried mine out this past weekend. Works great and really opens up the interior of the hammock.

That's an excellent feature for the bug net! I hope it comes on the top cover as well,

LOVE your innovation! My Halfwit is perfect for me. Trying to convince my wife to switch to a hammock. This might be good for her. Thanks!

I accidentally put the bugnet on "inside out". The pockets side were on the inside of my hammock instead of facing the outside. I was too tired from hiking all day to change it. But I think it worked better 😊 it gave it better structure so that's the way its staying. 😂

Glad to hear you like it! We didn't expect the versatility to get used that way, but it's a great use!

Can I send my existing chameleon into you all and have the loops added? Those poles are why my first hammock ever was a clark.

This new bugnet looks great, iv always not been too keen on the tie out as i keep tripping over them in the night, have or will you be bringing out a thicker bug net? Mine got a hole pretty easy, i think the zip caught in it at night i guess idk what happened

@@garywhelansr5602 He's not laying in the bugnet. The bugnet is made from .67 Bugnet Mesh, and the hammock is made from, as he mentioned, Cloud 1.4. Which is much stronger and can support the weight of a person.

Hello Dutchware, I love your online shop! As I plan to make an UP quilt, I am delighted to find most materials right there!
I've got a couple questions regarding the fabric options tho:
    - What is the difference between Black (Ripstop) and Black Taffeta?
    - Which fabric would you recommend as a comfy, cuddly lining material (underside of quilt that touches skin)? Argon? Ripstop? Taffetta? Ion?
Thank you so much for your help!

    • @dutch3323
      @dutch3323  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

For the inside I like Taffetta because it is smooth and you don't need the ripstop.

Sorry to bug you again. I'd like your recommendation for baffle length and UP filling quantities. I'm going for a karo (square) pattern with openings where the squares meet (similar to this design: th-cam.com/video/_KnfpfrSm7g/w-d-xo.html)
      The creator's squares are huge.
I understand that UP is equivalent to 600 fill down, my quilt's volume will be 10653 cubic inches, which requires 17.75oz of 600 fill down.
      1. Do the 17.75oz 600 fill down translate into 17.75oz of UP material? How many oz of UP would you recommend? I'm looking for a 3 season quilt.
      2. The person in the video used huge baffle squares of 18", with 4" on each corner open, so 6inches of baffle with 4+4" left open. He's got 3" of loft.
Some people say this is way too big because the material will move around too much, and they recommend 5 inches. I'd like to stay warm, but as a bikepacker I am concerned about compressability and I fear that too much baffle material will affect stuff size.
What baffle size would you recommend, and would it make sense to go with a smaller loft of 2.5-2.8"?
Thank you so much for your help!
