  • Use your vehicles storage area wisely to maximize your chances of survival in a tough situation. Be prepared for an emergency when away from home. Don't depend on someone else to have what you need, when you need it.
Paper maps, first aid, self defense items, basic tools, extra water, extra clothing and footwear are just a few examples of EDC for your vehicle.

My grandpa always had his wooden “Grub Box” in the trunk of his old vehicle. This was Alaska in the early 50’s. He had Pilot bread, , a 2-pound tin of genuine butter, a glass jar (or two) of Kraft brand processed cheese, Vienna sausage tin, tins of sardines, some of grandma’s king salmon smoked strips, a dozen eggs, and bacon. Coffee of course, and a coffee pot.
He had a brown glass gallon jug that Clorox came in, for a water carrier. A box of kitchen matches. There were probably other items. I don’t remember any vegetables, but perhaps potatoes? I don’ remember that he packed a two-burner Coleman stove, but at home, that’s what we cooked on in the summer (we did not use the wood stove much in summer).
I now remember that he had evaporated canned milk and sugar for his coffee!

Great video. I expected to see more string and rope. But otherwise, you're ready for just about anything. Stay safe.... I always learn something. I like the wool blanket idea. I have several sheets and blankets but wool must be added!

Good stuff ! could get some sheet metal and mount it across the bottom of your tool box to hide your stash.Make it look factory. shtf anyone loots the pick up, you could have some good stuff under there that they might miss.

I have a suggestion for you. A four way sillcock key which will allow you to access water from a hose bib on the outside of a commercial building or industrial bldg. A very good youtube video is Called Bug Out Water Option by John McCann owner of Survival Resources. he demonstrates how to use it on various types of hose bibs on the outside of buildings. He also states ,as we should already know, we should never access private water unless it is an emergency and there are no other options. Just type the title and scroll down to about the fifth video.

I always forget to pick one up when out and about. I guess I'll have to rely on my sledgehammer to open up the water! Thanks for the view and comment!

Excellent setup sir! I'm like-minded and carry as much as you. You need a jump pack (booster pack) in case your battery goes dead, you don't have to rely on someone else for a jump start.

You got a great set up. People use to ask me back in the 90s why I carry so much Stuff in my truck. I would tell them its better to have it and not need it. Than need it and not have it.

I used to carry a hi-lift jack. It might have been called a farm jack by some. It helped a few times.

The hammerhead bag is a professional pool cleaning vacuum attachment. It is used to collect the debris that the vacuum pulls up, cost new is around $40.

My ONLY suggestion is for you to keep the Fire Extinguisher as handy to you as your sidearm...you should be able to grab it from being seated behind the wheel.

The only thing I can think of for an improvement is.....🤓🤔
The ability to turn your truck into a submarine. 😳
Otherwise, you got it. And then some! 🤣🤣🤣
Imagine having a team of 10 Snakes on your side!?!

Good set up do you have a manual pump for the tyres in case the electric one breaks down?

    • @SurvivalTheory

No secondary pump, but a manual pump i's a good idea. Thanks for the watch and words!

Yes, a couple of paper maps. They are missing all the new roads since the maps are so old. I should update my map collection. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Gasoline or flex-fuel. Extra fuel is a good idea. I normally carry extra fuel when on long road trips away from home, or when headed into disaster areas. Thank you for watching and commenting!

It's ALMOST funny that you could think this is a joke. If the SHTF you'll be crying, not laughing. Obviously you're not our kind.
