    Downside of Los Molinos---Not the pleasant climate of Boquete. More wind, especially in Summer. Its warmer than Boquete & nothing is conveniently nearby. You need a car for everything & parking in nearby Boquete can be scarce. There is a reason Boquete is more popular & tends to sell for more $$$.

      Thanks Paul. It was pretty windy even when we were there. Great for everyone to take into consideration everything you wrote.

    Im impressed they buried the electric power lines in that rocky soil. Underground utilities adds to the natural beauty of the landscape.

      Thanks. We have two more around Boquete coming up. Just need to edit them. Since we were curious we figured others must be too.

    Great info. I have seen places for sale in that community. I always just called it the Windmill project. Now I know the whole story!

    We have really enjoyed the videos you do. We have permanent Panama residence visas and enjoy your walk abouts, but if you are going to introduce food into the video would you please include a menu shot also? Just enough that we can freeze the frame and read it, doesn't t have to take up much space. Thanks for my personal indulgence.

      I'll keep that in mind Jerry. Nice idea. We are going to do an overall restaurant one (many restaurants we were in across Panama). Showing, talking prices, and the pensionado discount and how to make sure you get it. But....when we shot those there were a few menus but mostly not. Too late to go back and get them although maybe online. Tough part of that is most restaurants in Panama don't have websites, especially small ones. Definitely give it a shot.

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We reached out to Buena Aventura but staying there was rather pricey. Costa del Este was a very different community. We need to edit our video and post that one. Thanks for asking. Thank you for watching. 😃 We appreciate you.

    Locking nice but nowhere Solar and Wind Power ? Why not ? Can u please talk about prices ? Thank U.

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hi....there were some places where we saw wind turbines. A swath of them but it was somewhere driving from PC to Boquete. Definitely not many. And there are Solar panels on houses. House prices can be anything, literally. But the brunt of US type average homes are somewhere between 250 and 400 that we saw. And....new Panamanian complexes have nice ones for 80-110. And they look good. This would be out of Panama City. City ones are higher.

    Where is the nearest hospital and other important nearby supermarkets, shopping centers? etc, etc?

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hola Carlos
      We did not see as much healthcare in Boquete as we would have liked. I believe the nearest hospital is in David so just small clinics here. I hope someone can add to this.

      @@laptopseniors Hi. Thanks for responding. My brother in law and sister do currently live (temporarily - between 3 to 5 months out of the year) in Los Molinos. We visited them about 1 year ago. We might purchase a home there and retire there someday....=). It is quite cheaper that living in the US for sure. Just hoping that homes don't get too expensive to buy there. The US housing market is so expensive at this moment and to buy something here the interest rate are at all time high.

      @laptopseniors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That’s great 😊 then you have good information on Los Molinos. We like that community. We also hope the costs become more affordable. They need more buyers there. I think. Thanks for writing. 😊

    When we went to try a drive through last time we visited Boquete, they wouldn’t let us enter the Los Molinas gate. How do you folks get let in to do these drives?

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We usually see if there's a restaurant there first, or on the fly. If there is, we simply say we're going to the restaurant. Usually you have to at least show up at the restaurant. Maybe eat, maybe just a drink, maybe just look around so they know you arrived there. Then...check out the complex.

      @@laptopseniors ahhhhh. Yeah, that makes sense. We were a little impulsive in that we didn’t research so didn’t realize there was a restaurant there. We were just heading to David and tried to pop in last minute. Thanks for the response and we’ll try that next time we visit the country.

    What were the temps like compared to Boquette? Nice place

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The day we were there it was windy (you can see and hear that in the video), and a bit warmer than Boquete. I say it was around 73-75. Very pleasant. Roughly speaking from watching the weather reports for a bunch of days. If it's X degrees in David, it's about 8-10 degrees cooler in Boquete. That seems to be the spread as you go up in elevation. And yes, it was a very nice place. Very well groomed and maintained and great looking homes. Decent size lots too.

      Roughly between 400k to 800k...asking. Right now there's a 3 bedroom house there listed for 399k.

    very nice houses the views and all that but .where are the sidewalks can't you walk or take a stroll?

    • @laptopseniors
      @laptopseniors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It seems that sidewalks, and absolutely their upkeep, are not a big priority in Central and South America. We've seen no sidewalks, and/or really uneven, broken, and treacherously holed sidewalks in Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, and a little in Argentina (although they're better in AR). So, not seeing any is normal.
