Thank you Chuck and Debbi for sharing!! Alto Boquete is one of my favorite areas as I was doing my research. Also, back in August of this year, I went on an individual tour with Maury from Jackie's relocation guide. Maury was fantastic and showed me how big of an area Alto Boquete is. I fell in love all over again with Alto Boquete. Thanks again for your valuable input.
Huge creds to both of you! Thanks for sharing your story. Can't imagine living in out of a car and random AirBNB's for several months with two dogs (as sweet as they both look). You earn huge respect for figuring out how to make this happen. Years ago, when I was a kid between high school and college, I worked for a local farmer as a farm hand. When things went completely sideways, he used to say, "You know, just do what needs to be done." You lived out Dick's maxim. So glad that you finally made it to Panama and into retirement! Blessings on you both! John
Kind of sad that anytime I'm on a plane leaving the States, I breathe again. Very seriously thinking about Panama and Boqete is on my mind. Thank you for your insights. May see you there soon.
Who cares what "They" may not like. That is a nice way to live. Reminds me of old Tampa back in the 80's, not as big but just as cozy and safe, and very convenient. Thank you for mentioning the veterinarian. It is very important for a lot of us. Panama, especially Panama city and Azuero have excellent veterinarians. I miss them, I have been in Italy for three years. Will be going back this year.
I look forward to my next Panama relocation trip in a few weeks. I will be leaving from my apartment in Panama City for this trip. I love all the little things like constant weather and no daylight savings time changes: ever!!!
Great video. I was in Panama all last week. I spent three days between Boquete and David. I was in the restaurant they show. Food was good. Boquete is beautiful, but a little small for me. I also went to David, but I think for the money, I would rather be in Panama City.
Interested to see this neighbourhood is within walking distance of downtown Boquete. After living in rural Alberta, Canada, one of my biggest wishes is to be car free...lol Definitely need to look at the health insurance angle- coming from Canada, I'm used to not paying anything at all, but I imagine that difference is easily made up for by other savings.
Great story guys, it’s so nice you found a place you love. We have never been to Panama and would love to go this winter. From your experience do you think it would be best that we arrive and then find accommodation because I know Airbnb is very expensive with all the fees. Thanks!
Chuck, thank you so much for doing this…you guys are awesome and we had a wonderful time during our tour in July where you entertained us and we met quite a number of expats living in Panama. Keep up the good work and be blessed. William Birech
I love your home. It's perfect. If I'm counting right, this is your third video. You two give me great encouragement that I could do this too. Alto Boquete seems more relaxing than Boquete. Is that impression true? Thank you for moderating the chats! You are a blassing to PRT.
Alto Boquete is much more relaxing that downtown Boquete. There is ample parking in Alto Boquete and it's less crowded. Plus prices are more affordable in Alto Boquete.
I am a bit concerned about refilling one of my prescriptions should I move there. Is there some way to find out if one of my more esoteric prescriptions can be found in Panama and what the cost might be? There is no point in coming on tour if I can't live there. Very best wishes, with gratitude for your great work. Daniel
Super informative! So many examples of things to do, stores in the area and prices. Most helpful Boquete video I have seen so far. We hope to move there summer 2025. Alto Boquete is definitely at the top of my list. We will be taking the group tour and then a couple of private tours once we can narrow it down to top 3 locations. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks for sharing,my wife and are thinking about moving there next year,I have two large dogs how di you get your dogs there, also I would rent don't want to go over 550 a month,am on scocial security
Chuck and Debbi used a pet relocation service to get their dogs to Panama but you can do it yourself to save a LOT of money -- see details at panamarelocationtours.com/bringing-your-pets-to-panama
Looks beautiful there, we are moving to Panama as soon we sell. We will buy the guide as we know we want to live in Panama City and will book a private tour. Did you you use a dog relocation service?
Excellent info and insight!! Panama is on my short list for retirement location along with a couple others. Boquete, & Volcan are my two fav locations in Panama!! God will direct!! 🙂
I live between Colorado, USA and Boquete -- My observations -- Most Gringos relocating to Boquete will be gone in 3 years ; UNLESS-- you learn, at least, basic Spanish, integrate into community ( do not just stay within expat community) and do some community service ( such as aiding in schools). Cost of living in Panama is generally 50% of living in Colorado USA ; so if you are just only looking for low cost of living, Thailand & Vietnam is 75% less than in USA. Wherever you go, do something with your retirement time, to benefit the locals.
Greetings I moved to Costa Rica 2021-2023 flushed out the federal reserve US and I mad the US my boarder run year and a half little more I could tell the difference within just returned and wow I missed this part of our globle I look to meet you both my next journey to Panama ❤
You mentioned cancer and health insurance. Can you tell me more about this. Is it private/international health insurance? Do they include preexisting conditions? I had cancer 10 years ago and I am very healthy now? Looking to get more information about health insurance.
Cancer insurance is $63 a YEAR but it's only available for those who have never had cancer. They have private health insurance through Family Medical Plan. For a 60-69 year old, the cost is $102 per month. You can see their brochure at panamarelocationtours.com/health-insurance-options-in-panama
Thank you for your info,we want to move there next year but wanting rental the same as you 550 per mont am on scocial security, the two dogs i have thanks for that info, are there more rentals there like you have,as my research cant find any
There are more rentals like theirs BUT you will not find them advertised on facebook or real estate agent websites. You can only find them by being in town talking to people.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you, appreciate the clarification. In such a scenario, when one is eligible for a pensionado in the future, is it possible to switch to pensionado to not keep maintaining the friendly nations requirements?

Hey Debbi and Chuck saw you on one of Jackie‘s videos😊👏👍🏻
Jackie's a great resource for Panama information!
Hi Chuck and Debbie. I see your names on the Saturday Q and A. Nice to put faces to the names. Thanks so much for the info.

Great job! I’m going to plan buying the guide in my budget. God willing I’ll be moving to Panama someday!
Love your two pups! Thanks for sharing your experience. It was very helpful. Keep enjoying your peaceful life!♥
We just visited this past October and loved Boquete best so far! Can't wait to come again!

Chuck and Debbi did use a pet relocation company that is recommended in the Online Guide.
The headline says" Furnished $550 Three Bedroom House.
Did I miss that part of the video? Why no shots inside and around the house?
You might want to rewatch the video, there were interior shots plus the yard.
