- Alto Boquete is more affordable than downtown Boquete. And you still have access to grocery stores, restaurants, fresh fruits and veggies, pet supplies, doctors, dentists, salons, and more!
Chuck and Debbi share their experiences moving to and living in Panama. They live in Alto Boquete in a Panamaian-style furnished three bedroom two bath house that they rent for $550 with all utilities included except for propane.
Everything they need is within walking distance.

You folks look so happy and at peace
Panama takes the stress away.
I love those roof when it rain, the loud noise it makes is something i always love 😂
Huge creds to both of you! Thanks for sharing your story. Can't imagine living in out of a car and random AirBNB's for several months with two dogs (as sweet as they both look). You earn huge respect for figuring out how to make this happen. Years ago, when I was a kid between high school and college, I worked for a local farmer as a farm hand. When things went completely sideways, he used to say, "You know, just do what needs to be done." You lived out Dick's maxim.
So glad that you finally made it to Panama and into retirement! Blessings on you both!
John
Thanks for watching! Debbi and Chuck LOVE living in Panama
@@PanamaRelocationToursAnd when the time comes, I'm sure we will too. Thanks for helping to make this possible for so many people!

Thank you Chuck and Debbi for sharing!! Alto Boquete is one of my favorite areas as I was doing my research. Also, back in August of this year, I went on an individual tour with Maury from Jackie's relocation guide. Maury was fantastic and showed me how big of an area Alto Boquete is. I fell in love all over again with Alto Boquete. Thanks again for your valuable input.
Thanks for sharing!
What about all the protest and unrest? Is that mainly in Panama City? What is it about exactly?
Hi Chuck and Debbie. I see your names on the Saturday Q and A. Nice to put faces to the names. Thanks so much for the info.
Kind of sad that anytime I'm on a plane leaving the States, I breathe again.
Very seriously thinking about Panama and Boqete is on my mind.
Thank you for your insights. May see you there soon.
You should come see how you can LIVE BETTER for Less in Panama.
I appreciate their thorough and candid review. And it’s amazing that they were able to completely turn their lives around by moving there✨
@@briana14333 thanks for watching!
I look forward to my next Panama relocation trip in a few weeks. I will be leaving from my apartment in Panama City for this trip. I love all the little things like constant weather and no daylight savings time changes: ever!!!
Peaceful living in Panama❤
We just visited this past October and loved Boquete best so far! Can't wait to come again!
Hi Chuck and Debbi! So glad to see you in this video. Thanks again for all you share during the tour. I hope to see you again. Hugs!
Nice to see you again. So that is what your husband looks like. We heard a lot about him on the tour. Hope to see you next year in Panama.
I hope so too!
Interested to see this neighbourhood is within walking distance of downtown Boquete. After living in rural Alberta, Canada, one of my biggest wishes is to be car free...lol Definitely need to look at the health insurance angle- coming from Canada, I'm used to not paying anything at all, but I imagine that difference is easily made up for by other savings.
I just love ypur couple T's. Just what I need 😅
You folks are great
Would love to meet you when I get there
Watching from the Caribbean
Great information, thank you. I am considering a move to Panama after the end of this school year.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for your video, your home is a good value & you have some happy pups there ;) Glad that Alto Boquete is a good fit for you two!
Love your two pups! Thanks for sharing your experience. It was very helpful. Keep enjoying your peaceful life!♥
Great video. I was in Panama all last week. I spent three days between Boquete and David. I was in the restaurant they show. Food was good. Boquete is beautiful, but a little small for me. I also went to David, but I think for the money, I would rather be in Panama City.
@@JC-nh6ud Panama City is a great place to live!
I love your home. It's perfect. If I'm counting right, this is your third video. You two give me great encouragement that I could do this too. Alto Boquete seems more relaxing than Boquete. Is that impression true? Thank you for moderating the chats! You are a blassing to PRT.
Alto Boquete is much more relaxing that downtown Boquete. There is ample parking in Alto Boquete and it's less crowded. Plus prices are more affordable in Alto Boquete.
Hey Debbi and Chuck saw you on one of Jackie‘s videos😊👏👍🏻
Jackie's a great resource for Panama information!
Great interview, Chuck and Deb. I look forward to getting down to see you soon.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. So motivational 😊
Appreciate your information! Myself and my wife are looking about five to six at retiring in Panama and this is the area we are seriously considering. 😊😊
Alto Boquete is a great place to retire!
I LOVE that house.
@@Katy32344 at $550 a month, including utilities, it's a great deal in Boquete!
Chuck, thank you so much for doing this…you guys are awesome and we had a wonderful time during our tour in July where you entertained us and we met quite a number of expats living in Panama. Keep up the good work and be blessed.
William Birech
Great job! I’m going to plan buying the guide in my budget. God willing I’ll be moving to Panama someday!
Love the video. Very informative.
Great video, thank you 🙏
Super informative! So many examples of things to do, stores in the area and prices. Most helpful Boquete video I have seen so far. We hope to move there summer 2025. Alto Boquete is definitely at the top of my list. We will be taking the group tour and then a couple of private tours once we can narrow it down to top 3 locations. Keep the videos coming!
@@cameronnewcomb4344 thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful
We’ll be there next year!!! Look forward to meeting you!
Excellent info and insight!! Panama is on my short list for retirement location along with a couple others. Boquete, & Volcan are my two fav locations in Panama!! God will direct!! 🙂
Come see how you can live better for less in Panama.
Well God is directing me to Boquete. BUT, I absolutely want and NEED water. I am addicted to watersports. My dream is house OVER water!
We love those t-shirts :)
Great story guys, it’s so nice you found a place you love. We have never been to Panama and would love to go this winter. From your experience do you think it would be best that we arrive and then find accommodation because I know Airbnb is very expensive with all the fees. Thanks!
Great job guys!
thanks
Grácias por excelente video. Saludos desde ciudad de Panamá

Looks good.
Good info!! ✈️✈️
Looks beautiful there, we are moving to Panama as soon we sell. We will buy the guide as we know we want to live in Panama City and will book a private tour. Did you you use a dog relocation service?
Chuck and Debbi did use a pet relocation company that is recommended in the Online Guide.

Im in!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The headline says" Furnished $550 Three Bedroom House.
Did I miss that part of the video? Why no shots inside and around the house?
You might want to rewatch the video, there were interior shots plus the yard.
Watch the video again. The video has interior and exterior videos and drone shots of the neighborhood.
Starts at 5:36 😊
I am a bit concerned about refilling one of my prescriptions should I move there. Is there some way to find out if one of my more esoteric prescriptions can be found in Panama and what the cost might be? There is no point in coming on tour if I can't live there. Very best wishes, with gratitude for your great work. Daniel
Love the shirts. Where can I get one?
The tshirts are available on Amazon or a print shop in Boquete Panama
I live between Colorado, USA and Boquete -- My observations -- Most Gringos relocating to Boquete will be gone in 3 years ; UNLESS-- you learn, at least, basic Spanish, integrate into community ( do not just stay within expat community) and do some community service ( such as aiding in schools). Cost of living in Panama is generally 50% of living in Colorado USA ; so if you are just only looking for low cost of living, Thailand & Vietnam is 75% less than in USA. Wherever you go, do something with your retirement time, to benefit the locals.
I was thinking that I would like to see a map of Panama showing where these places are at the beginning of the video and voila there it was..
You mentioned cancer and health insurance. Can you tell me more about this. Is it private/international health insurance? Do they include preexisting conditions? I had cancer 10 years ago and I am very healthy now? Looking to get more information about health insurance.
Cancer insurance is $63 a YEAR but it's only available for those who have never had cancer. They have private health insurance through Family Medical Plan. For a 60-69 year old, the cost is $102 per month. You can see their brochure at panamarelocationtours.com/health-insurance-options-in-panama
Nice people.
What is the cost of rent there? You probably mentioned it but I don’t” catch every thing. Also what is your temperature s. Through the winter?
They pay $550 a month rent for a furnished place that include all utility costs
What is the name of the health insurance company they were referring to?
Thank you for your info,we want to move there next year but wanting rental the same as you 550 per mont am on scocial security, the two dogs i have thanks for that info, are there more rentals there like you have,as my research cant find any
There are more rentals like theirs BUT you will not find them advertised on facebook or real estate agent websites. You can only find them by being in town talking to people.
What's the name of the new Indian restaurant please that you mentioned in this video and where is it located? Thank you.
Is this a good place for families (education & safety #1)
70:30 health insurance sounds great but cancer still can run ALOT...is there an OOP max?
Hello Debbi and Chuck how do I get in touch with Jackie to inquire about moving there

How did you move to Panama before actual retirement age? Are you on disability, online employment, working still? Do u have friendly nations visa?
They live on the proceeds from the sale of their house and savings.
Who cares what "They" may not like. That is a nice way to live. Reminds me of old Tampa back in the 80's, not as big but just as cozy and safe, and very convenient.
Thank you for mentioning the veterinarian. It is very important for a lot of us. Panama, especially Panama city and Azuero have excellent veterinarians. I miss them, I have been in Italy for three years. Will be going back this year.
Assuming you chose a non-pensionado visa in this case as you don't have SS eligibility yet?
They got a Friendly Nations Visa and work permits.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you, appreciate the clarification. In such a scenario, when one is eligible for a pensionado in the future, is it possible to switch to pensionado to not keep maintaining the friendly nations requirements?
Another "North Carolinian" looking into Panama [& ALMOST CERTAINLY... BOQUETE]!!!

Oh my, what would the world be without dogs?
Who is Jackie & how do I get to her Facebook page?
Please & Thank You!!
Did you fly your dogs there.
They used a pet relocation company to fly their dogs to Panama.
Is it safe for a single female to live there?
@@Lovepeacejoy.. yes, it's safe. Many single women live in Panama
What mistake did you almost make costing $1000.? Just talk?
HOLD UP! Ive been watching and about to move to panama how come they said theres NO MAIL????? 1000 videos over 3 years and NOW I HEAR NO MAIL????
Since 2010, we've been telling people no mail delivery to your house -- but there is a solution -- panamarelocationtours.com/how-to-get-amazon-orders-and-mail-in-panama
Same in Mexico. Its doable.
