    Thanks a lot for this excellent video. My post has been sticking lately, and after following this, it's now running smooth as butter. Managed to avoid breaking that part and chucked some loctite on there as suggested.

    Another vote of thanks for this video - much easier following your instructions than the "official" KS video. My dropper is now running perfectly once again.

    what a great video, thanks for sharing Sir!! ps: KS Mast End Sleeve part is made of a very bad plastic, mine broke within 1 month of use in a brand new bike, Polygon T8 2020 (i believe due to bad cable management) but then, i bought a brand new part just like you did and when i went to tighten it back on it broke (bare in mind it was a brand new part) already orders a second one, but this time i "won't tighten it" as i previously did. I better find the way... Great video again! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

    Excellent video! Got to the end and broken the same part! 😂 went 1.5 yrs w/o maintenance! I will get on a 6 month interval, thinking June and December.

    Thanks for posting this up. T’was very helpful.
    I used a 7/8” wrench in place of a 22 mm and it fit nicely.
    Also, I had a heck of a time finding the P26003 plastic bushings. They measure 2.17 mm dia new and 2.00 mm dia old with a little wobble in the post.
    I might try to make new plastic bushings for a future service 2.17 mm dia and 9.95 mm long.
    I had to mash them into the slot with the side of the pick.
    Just seems like there oughta be a better way.
    The results are great, my post is back to super smooth and solid operation.

    Hey, did you add part 2 for this. Interested in seeing the spring/coupler removed and reinstalled.

    Hey Tony do you remember what size wheel set you went with on the schwinn taff project

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were standard 29” QR wheels (WTB i25)

    How do you initially remove the post from frame? I have never done that and cannot find a good demo on how to do it.

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      loosen the seat tube clamp, pull the post out the top and unhook the cable barrel from the bottom of the post.

    Did you also have the problem that it sunk in 1cm while sitting on it and your cleaning without changing oil resolved the problem? Just thinking if I could skip the oil part, too...

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine was not sinking with weight, just slow and some play

    Hi Tony. How did u have rust in the tube? Isn't it Aluminum?

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aluminum can still oxidize (corrosion) and become pitted. I think salt from sweating made it worse

    How did you manage to get the broken piece out of the cartridge?

    • @TonyHob
      @TonyHob  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It broke during reassembly. I just unscrewed it back out using a small pick to turn it

    • @TonyHob

      when I redid it I basically hand tightened it. It breaks way too easy

      I made a f/u video that has the link and how to install it since you use the old internals on the new one. I bought the part here: www.worldwidecyclery.com/products/ks-actuator-assembly-for-lev-lev-si-and-lev-ci-30-9-31-6

    I would release the pressure. Not worth the risk of something going wrong.
