Excellent!!! I’m going to make the “new and improved” tool, I’m currently using the original one you made. Your design and idea for this is beyond ingenious Mike. I had the Teknatool one and found it to be useless. You should patent and see these. Thanks again
As you well know I am not new to your channel but I did learn something today. I had no idea how to form the cutting edges of this tool. Now I do. I am not sure I have an angle grinder but my son-in-law is an iron worker and I am certain he does. And he has the expertise to teach me how to use the tool properly and safely. I bet I have a tool that I can repurose too. Thank you for another educational and entertaining video. To paraphrase a saying of mine: When the grinding wheel goes around, the face shield goes down. 🙂🙂
Mike -- I have the same model angle grinder in my shop. (Don't know how it got there. I never go to Harbor Freight! Well, almost never. Maybe once or twice a week....) Thanks for showing us the process of using an angle grinder to rough-out the tool before refining the shape on the bench grinder.
Another improvement would be to cut the outside angle (nose and right edge) to 80 degrees and then it could be used to cut a tenon. I don't use a recess often, but when I do this would be a great tool.
Hi Mike. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I was wondering where to get an angle finder platform like you’re using in the video. I googled the info but nothing came up. I still struggle with getting my angles right on my platform when reshaping or sharpening.
You can find an angle protractor in my Amazon shop as shown in the description area of all of my videos www.amazon.com/shop/mikepeacewoodturning/ or pick one up at a home development store.
Merci de nous avoir donné toutes les explications nécessaires pour réaliser cet outil. Auriez-vous l'amabilité de nous faire connaître la marque ou la référence de votre support d'outil pour l'affutage ,s'il vous plait. Merci Mike👍
Hi Mike. I'm learning a lot from your videos but have one question? What is the meaning for the color tape I see on your tool handles? I will be happy to blindly follow your lead and put green tape on my tool handles out of simple superstition if nothing else but suspect there is a reason for it.
Merci Mike pour le renseignement ,bonne journée et bonne continuation pour de nouveaux projets.👍
Merci!

@@MikePeaceWoodturning I’m actually referring to the robo rest angle device
@@karenbyrd8798 They are no longer made. The closest think to it would be a Kodiak rest from Woodturners Wonders.
@@MikePeaceWoodturning thank you!

Thanks. It a Robo rest. No longer made. Somewhat similar is the Kodiak rest from woodturnerswonders.com

It helps to more easily identify my loaner tools at an offsite workshop.
