- How to make digital planner templates directly on the iPad in Goodnotes 5. You can also use these tips to make PNG templates for other apps like Notability and Xodo.
I received this question on Instagram and thought it best to show on a video. I go through several methods including google docs and procreate.

So thrilled I found your videos! I have transformed my hard cover planner that I use for my business (& life) into digital over a year ago by litterally ripping out every page, scanning and uploading into GoodNotes! I wish that I had the time to set up a new planner....with tabs and hyperlinks and all but running my own business doesn't allow for that kind of time. These tips are going to help my edit my pics/pdf and overlay into one of planners I purchased! You have truly made my day as I plan to lock down this weekend to plan Q2! A MILLION THANKS Katie!!!
Many thanks for sharing this video and different techniques. I am a Lister as well and I like to have lists of information as I am learning a lot of life skills later than most. I’ve made some custom pages for myself using your techniques that you have shared here. =) I also wanted to thank you for showing us the tips and tricks I had no idea that Google docs was so responsive with the pen.

Thank you for the tips! Is there a way to make the background more permanent? If I write or type over something and use the eraser or lasso, it also impacts my new background. I’m using GoodNotes 5. Thanks!
Oh! And how did you “undo” in Procreate? I couldn’t see the gesture. Thanks!
You could try deselecting "image" in the eraser settings. I think that'll protect your screenshots completely. You can also select only pen or only highlighter to erase specific things
Hi thank you for the content. How do you link the days on your monthly to the daily page template? I'm using an iPad i don't have a Mac. Currently when i copy the links from the calendar the fame corresponding links go to the first set of days. Then i ended up creating almost 365 days and manually linking. There had to be an easier way. And that many pages causes lagging. Any suggestions?

How to "lock" the page so that it has a template for the user to fill but the user cannot move the tables etc?
Great video! I have a question maybe you can help me. I just started digital planning this week.... when I past my page over the editing page.... then I try to put stickers or text on them. I cant move the stickers or text becuase when I lasso them it lasses the whole page too and moves it. Is there a way to avoid this? Or merge the new page to the old one your pasting over?
Are you using Goodnotes? Instead of the lasso you should be able to use the image icon to move images individually

Hi there - This videos shows it for Goodnotes but the approach works on other iPad digital planning apps too. I haven't tried it on Android devices as yet.

This is helpful but I’ve been trying to make the grid in GoodNotes and whenever I use the eraser, the whole box gets erased. Is there a way around this? Or do I have to go back when I want to erase each time? thanks

Hi! iPads are great for digital planning and I recommend using GoodNotes.

While making a digital planner, I couldn't figure out how to remove the background of the wire placed in the middle.
How do you create links to the tabs?
Goodnotes doesn't allow you to create links inside their app, same as most other apps at the moment. You can put a new template over an existing one that is already hyperlinked. The hyperlinks in the planner are all created outside of the app - if you want to do this on your iPad you can try Keynotes
How do you get that purple thingy?
Very frustrated. I have your Happy Download Planner on my iPad Pro. Been using it for a year. I don’t understand how to add the templates that came with my purchase. I want to use the Meal Planner template and duplicate it for each week and add it to my weekly planner as an additional page. Can not figure out how to duplicate any of the templates that I received . Could you direct me please, to one of your videos? I am using one note because I have an android phone and needed a cross platform planner. Thank you so much.

How weird,my shape box doesn’t give me the option to brush to fill the colors for my boxes, any suggestions?

How did you set it when you were in the index page,you click on “meal plan” and it bring you straight to the page?
Those are hyperlinks I build into my digital planner :) You can tap on any hyperlink and jump to that page.
@@HappyDownloads is there already tutorial on your channel how you do it? I’ve learn how to create hyperlink to outside webpage, but not within the good note as how you did with your journal/planner.

Can you use a template from a lesson plan that you have on your computer? I have created a preschool format that works well for me??
Hi there! You could take a screenshot or snipping of the template and copy and paste it in and try to use it. It won't be transparent though so may not quite match the paper color.

How do you create a screenshot with a Generation 5 IPad? There is no home button
You can also swipe from the bottom left corner with your apple pencil and that should take a screenshot too
My Google docs looks nothing like that, mines is so simple... missing a lot things ☹️

If you have to copy and paste every time on a new page that’s not really a template 🤦♂️
Hi there - Once you've made the page once, you can use the Goodnotes copy page function to copy and paste the template page you created as many times as you like. You don't need to recreate it again on a new page. Hope that helps!

What is the app you are using to get those binder pages
I’m using my HappyDownloads digital planner in GoodNotes 5 app on the iPad but it also works in other digital planning apps like Penly on Android ❤️
